OP, I don't mean to come at you personally, but threads like this are cancerous.
There's no discussion, no reflection, no insight, no talk about how these castles developed or anything. It's just a scenery thread, with you spamming images.
If you don't provide a topic, a hook for discussion, what's the point?
it's something to keep me busy while watching a movie
This one is probably the most famus one of them all
those are all Austrian castles m8, built by Austrian nobility, Slovenia exists since the 90's. I'm pretty sure of that, we had it in history class last semester.

one day... one day
Those lands were strategically very important as a crossroad between mediteranean sea basin and central europe, so that's why the number of castles.
Also, during turkish invasions, almost every chucrch on any hill was converted into a fort, so slovene lands have a rich fortification histoy.
Also ww1 fortifications in alps were quite edgy.
I know that. I'm wondering if, and possibly why, there might be more castles in Slovenia than elsewhere. I guess it probably has to do with the lack of warfare that would lead to the obliteration of castles over time, or even the lack of demographic growth which might people to cart away castle bricks for towns.
