Does religion steadily develop from polytheism to monotheism to pantheism/atheism/deism?
>>2908059
No, the only reason it seems that way to you is that the western world is connected closely and the abrahamic religions expanded trough most of it.
>>2908059
no you faggot
It seems like religions start off as animism, then mature into shamanism. From there the evolution can go in anyway really depending on the people that rise up to influence and the culture of the people practicing it.
Why does the USA have much more of a cult of personality around its leaders? It's like something from the early days of the USSR.
The huge ceremonies, the music (They have one called 'Hail to the Chief, ffs).
Imagine if the UK made their own Rushmore of Disraeli, Lloyd George, Churchill and thatcher. It'd feel so bizarre, but when the US does it, it's normal.
Where did this crazy culture originate from?
>>2907924
It's due to the lack of a monarch.
Groups of people love strongmen, and well established monarchs like Britain's provides that. Without it, they choose their presidents instead.
>>2907950
I suppose that makes sense, but what about longtime republics like France and Germany?
>>2907978
Both of those had their strongmen defeated and villified

I don't get the third one.

Was he good? Was he bad? Seems like there's a lot of differing opinion. Let's discuss.
Thanks, we were really missing a hitler thread.

Greatest fucking hero ever born!
Napolean crossed with Nietzsche
>Women also submitted to Beria's sexual advances in exchange for the promise of freeing their relatives from the Gulag. In one case, Beria picked up Tatiana Okunevskaya – a well-known Soviet actress – under the pretence of bringing her to perform for the Politburo. Instead he took her to his dacha where he offered to free her father and grandmother from NKVD prison if she submitted. He then raped her telling her "scream or not, it doesn't matter."[47] Yet Beria already knew her relatives had been executed months earlier. Okunevskaya was arrested shortly afterwards and sentenced to solitary confinement in the Gulag from which she survived.
>Beria's sexually predatory nature was well-known to the Politburo, and though Stalin took an indulgent viewpoint (considering Beria's wartime importance), he said, "I don't trust Beria." In one instance when Stalin learned his daughter was alone with Beria at his house, he telephoned her and told her to leave immediately. When Beria complimented Alexander Poskrebyshev's daughter on her beauty, Poskrebyshev quickly pulled her aside and instructed her, "Don't ever accept a lift from Beria."[48] After taking an interest in Marshal Kliment Voroshilov's daughter-in-law during a party at their summer dacha, Beria shadowed their car closely all the way back to the Kremlin terrifying Voroshilov's wife.

/your guy/ maybe, the vast majority here are homosexual so they are certainly discounted

He still would have been a better leader than Kruschev. He actually wanted to reform the soviet economy (never was a big believer in Marxism, just an opportunist and carreerist) and tone down the terror a bit. He could have been a Soviet Deng Xiaoping if he got hos way

Real nice guys, these Bolsheviks.

And how did they build at such mathematical precision?

Aliens
People are always suprised by the precision but a lot of these people thought they were building a tomb for god. If shiva came down here and ordered me to make a perfect tomb I'd make it perfect.

What was Germany's big idea when they declared war on Russia in 1914?
Like, I get it, they were concerned about Russia's growing industry and military power. But what did they tough they would accomplish? By attacking Russia they could, at most, hope to gain a bit of territory on Russia's side, but that doesn't sound to me like it would stop Russia's growing power.
Or did they seriously tough they would be able to fully Annex them?
>>2906383
The German line of thinking was that Russia would be able to simply overpower Germany AND Austria together by 1917 thanks to the military modernization put in place after the Russo-Japanese War. They were hoping to stall that, wreck Russian industry, and leave Germany in a position to continue its bid for world dominance.
If that sounds unrealistic and implausible, remember that a lot of German strategy in the First World War was.
>>2906406
How spread out was Russia at this point in time? Was most of it's industry concentrated on the European side?
I guess I can kind of see what the objective was at least, if this was the case, tho to me it sounds like they would at most be a setback for Russia.
>>2906383

The Treaty of Brest-Livotsk forced the Russians to cede 9/10 of their coal mines, 5/10 of their industrial base, and 4/10 of their population. I guess that was their master plan. Kinda hard to pose a threat after that.

I want to know concretely about Stalin. What i know is he win WW2 and he make a USSR super power country. Does he really great leader?? Please tell me objectively.
everything you know is true and anything else are lies.
>>2906142
As i wrote i want to know more concretely not just good things.
he was a man of contradictions. he made the USSR into a superpower but made a ton of needless, stupid, brutal errors along the way (purges, bad agriculture policies, molotov-ribbentrop, etc). he hated the personality cult around him but felt ideas necessary. he promoted a more democratic constitution in 1936 but consolidated total power. he believed in Marxism but was against world revolution because he felt only Socialism in One Country could save the union from the capitalists. he made life better for millions but ended the lives of millions of innocents at the same time. he was well read but not a very interesting theorist.
i dont think anyone really has a total grasp on him truthfully
What is happening to the collective consciousness when millions and millions of people can become fervent advocates of flat earth? Are we seeing a total postmodern breakdown into total paranoia?
>>2906093

Doesn't Islam deny both the Incarnation and the Resurrection?
From a Christian perspective, isn't the entirety of Islam, as a religion, blasphemous?
>>2905727
Doesn't Judaism have no precedent for the idea of an incarnation and completely deny its possibility.
From a Jewish perspective isn't the entirety of the Christian religion blasphemous?
Gee OP you might be on to something here.
