Is Napolean just a meme leader?
>>3027883
>just a meme leader
The ideal always emerges from the material. Memes are the common person's recording of history. What change he did was real. Napoleon was a meme, but only because his actions were real.
>>3027883
>took all of Europe to defeat him
>even before Napoleonic France reached its height of power he was leading its defense in repelling the Austrians and British troops and soldiers from her borders during the chaos of the Directory's corrupt rule
>He destroyed stagnate and outdated monarchies where he could find them while unironically supporting his own dynasty like putting his brother on the throne of Holland
>And Napoleon is responsible for some of the greatest, most tactically and strategically pulled maneuvers in battles that kept France as the top dog for years

""We were expecting just men, obviously young men, as warriors would be, and the thing about the women and children is that you'd think they wouldn't be going to war," said Rodrigo Bolanos, a biological anthropologist investigating the find.
"Something is happening that we have no record of, and this is really new, a first in the Huey Tzompantli," he added."
Whats your opinion about this /his/? And can we have an Aztec thread without some faggot claiming that they're going to come back and reconquer Mexico or some shit?
The Aztecs like the Mexicans of today were savages

Children were sacrificed to Tlaloc. Women to Goddesses they impersonated like Toci or Xochiquetzal for particular month ceremonies. They probably belong sacrifices of said ceremonies. It's not surprising in Guatemala their skull rack included some women. Though some guessed this case may have been actually female warriors since the Cakchiquels do mention women warriors in their annals.
And people said that Spaniards were in the wrong for bringing down the Aztec """""empire""""".
Why do ancient ships have eyes on them? This is true in the Mediterranean and Asia at least.

What was the daily life of an aristocrat? What duties would for example a duke have, what did they concern themselves with?
Depends on the country and time period. In many country following a military career was expected in youth from the middle-age to the early 20th century.
>>3027544
Did nobility necessarily have to learn to fight well, say in medieval periods, with sword, bow, pole arm or what have you, or were they more concerned with just learning to lead men into battle and being good war strategists?
>>3027537
I'm talking more about the later aristocracy in like the 1800s

So who should have been the rightful successor to Joseph Smith?
Speaking from an Earthly standpoint, perhaps his son. But I'm mormon, more specifically the right kind (the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Brigham Young). God revealed to the main mormon congregation that Brigham Young was to be the next leader. God's command is over any human reasoning. In case one believes a sect of mormonism must be true, but isn't sure which, I would choose the one that has hundreds of temples built, isn't excluded from society (see Amish), and has 15 million members, and performs humanitarian aid in 189 countries. If you don't believe in the book of mormon, then this wouldn't matter to you, but if you believe in it, then it's fairly obvious that the mainstream church (nearing 16) is the true church, thus Brigham Young is the rightful successor to Joseph Smith Jr.

Not OP, but you guys abandoned polygamy, when JS was pretty clearly okay with it and may have possibly thought it was more righteous than just having one wife.
Moreover, god just 'decides' to grant a prayer that the blacks can get their own paradise-planets in the midst of the civil rights movement, right at the moment when you guys are under massive pressure?
Like, I'm sorry. I'm legit not a racist, and I'm not a monotheist, but I can't see a legitimate monotheist god changing his mind because of societal expectations. Which is what it looks like happened.
>>3027491
I'm not here to provide an explanation for those events, but I'll sum up.
-God didn't change His mind about black people. Black people are descended from Cain, who cursed his seed. The really simplified version is that the black person (who by the way, was never damned automatically to Hell, was only denied priesthood power- big difference) had his curse lifted in 1974.
-polygamy was practiced in a time that women had little influence in her society and was not capable of caring for herself. Mormons had to stick together back then, and it's a sin to live with a woman you're not married to, so plural marriage existed so that mormon men could care for women after their husbands died (most plural wives were old widows- men only slept with their primary wife).
I can deflect and argue what is and isn't convenient to believe. You might say it's convenient for me to believe these deflections so that my faith is sound. I might say that you twist the truth to fit an anti mormon message which is more than popular. If you want to try and find out for yourself, I would advise that you read some (preferably all) of the book of mormon and pray about it. If not, then perhaps don't question someone's belief if you haven't tried yourself.
Who is the biggest douche in history?

dandolo and the venetians being the biggest villains in the whole fourth crusade thing is a meme. the latins and the greek were at fault.
