The SED was the only party in the Warsaw Pact fully committed to communism aside from the CPSU, Poland, Hungary and Czechoslovakia didn't really want to but went along with it. A viable German Democratic Republic with a large and powerful area would have prevented Germans from fleeing to the west and would have been loyal to the Soviet Union, unlike Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Hungary. If Poland had instead been incorporated in the USSR as a Soviet Republic and East Germany remained a powerful state, the Eastern Bloc would have been much more powerful, much more viable, and less inclined to collapse.

Yes, sexual customs have changed a lot. For example, all four sets of my great grandparents met at church and other community events. The women were all married by 20, and the men by 22 in my family. The same goes for my grandparents. My mom's parents met at church and were married by 20, and dad's parents met at school and married right after graduating, even though both were going to college.
I'm pretty sure both of my grandfathers and great grandfathers were virgins when they married. That's just how it was. Most families were very religious, and if you had sex before marriage and were caught, you were shamed by the community. It was really frowned upon. Today, you're a fag if you don't lose your virginity by the time you graduate high school, regardless of whether or not you want to save it for marriage.

To mean something is actually to mean something to someone, and morals are really just requests from minds of how to act. In other words, meaning and moral requests cannot exist in it of itself; both necessarily must come from a mind or minds.
Subjective morality is morality grounded in humans, society, or really any non-omnipotent mind. It's what you expect from yourself and others, or what society expects from you.
Objective morality is morality grounded in an omnipotent mind that sees things from an objective perspective; it's what God expects of you.
When you think about it, no one has ever experienced meaning coming from anywhere else but a mind. For example, no one cares what a rock wants them to do because rocks don't have minds and therefor can't want you to do anything. The universe cannot ever inherently have meaning because a universe without a mind is no different from a rock that can't want. In fact, you actually can't even conceive of a real example of this non-mind meaning or morality, only a concept of it.
This is all why any attempt to find objective meaning in the universe will always lead you to God, as it's actually a necessary part of the definition. You're looking for meaning outside of the subjective human minds that you don't care about in search of an objective mind that you do, which is what God is.
Morality is objective because it is grounded in the objective God, but our free will is not. Even if we were to agree on God's existence and have incentives to follow him, it doesn't mean we actually have to. You might follow him because you believe it is right, but the very notion of right and wrong comes from Gods nature; if you don't care about God, then you wouldn't have any reason to care about his system of right and wrong that he's given us. It really is your choice to bind your human will to his divine one, or to not care about him at all. Of course you'd want to though, as God's pretty great and he's got some sweet incentives.

Let's say they fended off the Roman invasion, what happens next? I'd assume Caesar would be tried for not only waging his illegal war but losing it and humiliating Rome in the process but how would the rest of Rome react? Would they still want vengeance against the people who sacked their capital hundreds of years ago or would they prefer peace with the Celts?
How would this affect Rome in the long run? On the one hand they don't have to spend so much money and manpower civilising their northern neighbours but on the other hand they'd miss out on the soldiers and materials gotten from them.
Where would they spend time if not for western Europe now? Advance deeper into the Balkans? Arabia? Persia? Explore deeper into Africa?
And what of the Gauls? Would they try invading Iberia or would they not want to try their luck against Rome again? Push east into Germanic tribes? Or take Britain? Would their common Celtic culture make it easier for them to assimilate other Celitc areas?
