Would you happen to know any English books about Serbian history? Everything I know I learned from reading Byzantine and Ottoman histories which explained a quiet a few things and introduced me to characters like Stephen Dushan, so I don't have the clearest of pictures.

I do have a lot of respect for his decision not to escalate the Korean war and normalize the use of nuclear weapons in war. It was an enormously unpopular decision at the time but it probably prevented ww3.

They are manifestly uninspired. But the reformers were not alone in their rejection of those books. Plenty of Roman Catholics did as well until finally the Catholic canon was "infallibly" composed in 1546 at the council of Trent.
