Am I beyond help, /his/ ?
Nah, Peste Noire is really good and I admire Neige's work. Also, you should try Stille Volk and Vermine.
No but I wonder, did Joan ever encounter gunpowder weapons?

Likely. Mostly for seige
What the fuck would have happened if the allies actually ended supporting the Finns against the Russians in the winter war? How would WWII have ultimately turned out?
Ended up*

I believe the Allies were planning on bombing the Soviet oil fields at Baku, but then Hitler did that whole invading France thing.

You do realize France declared war first?
The world is unreal,
even though it is
present to the senses.
When I look at our Earth,
all I see is dead people.
Humans never existed.

If everything is an illusion then why vegetarianism and non-violence? What does it matter?
How would a moneyless society work?
>>3124158
1. Reversion of economy to neolithic levels.
2. A good becomes a generally accepted measure of value.
3. Economy now has money again.

What were knights like as people? How did they fit into society?
Basically special forces if they had no regard for the rules of war
Usually they were nobility who spend most of their time administrating their fief, and training in the case of war. Heavily armored units that weren't nobility didn't come around until the very late middle ages, with mercenaries such as the condotierre becoming more common.
Nobility, not much else to say.

"In 1989, the initial deal between the government of the Soviet Union and PepsiCo was about to expire and a new three-billion-dollar deal was made.
This time the vodka bottles were not enough to pay for the soda and Russia used what it had plenty of at that time – military equipment.
Altogether 17 submarines, a cruiser, a frigate and a destroyer were given to the Pepsi Company in return for the constant flow of sugary drink that the Soviet people had learned to love so much.
The acquisition of those submarines made PepsiCo – at least for a few days – the 6th largest military power in the world by the number of its diesel submarines. These vessels were then quickly sold to a Swedish company for recycling."

Is Islamic scripture inherently more restrictive on women than the other Abrahamic faiths, or is the current norm primarily cultural?
>>3123661
It is less restrictive as islam gives to women rights of succession, the right to refuse a pretendant and the right to divorce under certain conditions.
>b-but muh stoning
Stoning is a semitic tradition that arabs already practiced before islam, and it is not even in the quran. It also target men as well as women so it is not even sexist.
>>3123661
Significantly more restrictive, modern treatment of women in Arab countries is actually far milder than the Koran requires.
>>3123678
>right to divorce under certain conditions.
Those conditions being, when her husband allows her to. WOW SO LIBERATE!

Guys I'm not ready for automation nor the post scarcity society. I can't fathom not having to work. I feel disgusting and uncomfortable when I don't have work to do for prolonged periods and not having a job right now is killing me even though I don't need the money right now. I don't know if I am alone in this and I worry for how society will manage itself once we reach that point. Every time I see a post scarcity society in sci-fi, it seems oddly soulless to me. Does all this mean that we are going to essentially be coasting for the rest of eternity, diving deeper and deeper into ennui?

Realistically how much loyalty and support could female leaders like Boudica or Joan of Arc get?
>>3123386
not enough to not get BTFO by numerically inferior force
Boudicca not a lot, Joan tied herself into the Christian faith and when she showed up they tended to win so was popular, still not enough support for them to stop her getting BBQ'd though

How much our political beliefs are defined by our personality instead of unbiased analysis of facts and understanding of society? Can right become left and vice versa around or you are born as one or the other?
>>3123018
>>/pol/
I know the commies and Nazis are scary but you must battle them friend :).
Lots of influential people went from left to right over time.
I think your political beliefs are dictated by your place in society more than anything (income, education, status, surroundings, ethnic identity), so it's relatively stable for most people, unless you go up or down significantly or the society as a whole changes.

What made Indian spirituality so deeper compared to western monotheist traditions?
>>3122981
>Indian spirituality
Didnt exist before the Muslim Invasion. Mostly everything you know about Hinduism was revealed after Muslims invaded. It was the Indian response to an attack by an actual organised religion.
The result was, anything that isnt specifically Islam is by definition part of Hinduism. The result was the most loosely defined identity on the planet.
The word India, and Hindu come from the Indus river (Pakistan) and Sindh province (Pakistan). Modern Indians and Hindus have little relationship to either.
India claims everything from Iran to Vietnam and Tibet to Maldives. as part of the "Indosphere" and Hindu civilization. This also includes entire religions like Buddhism and Sikhism.
These people literally lack an identity thats being built from top down, hence every growing, constantly revised and rediscovered.
>>3122981
It's just kind of cool and whimsical like some sort of comic book or something. With the Abrahamic religions there's usually only one way to go about worshiping God and if you tried to change it up just a little tiny the Catholic church come and burn you at the stake. Eventually they couldn't stop protestants from existing anymore and so now we have a million different schisms each with their own little spin on Christianity, some of which as I'm sure you know are completely retarded. But all that shit didn't start happening until ~500 years ago. But imagine if they had thousands and thousands of years to think up a bunch more retarded shit, you'd probably end up with a religion that's nice and "deep" and "spiritual" like they have in India.
>>3123057
