At the height of the empire, was the British army comparatively better than other armies?
Or were its battles won by superior tactics?

They maintain a small yet comparatively well trained and professional army
It was never really in their interest to amass a large land force, rather they have a navy that is stronger then the next two combined

I would wager it was much less of a deep philosophizing you tried to paint it as, and more of a dude was in a rush and accidentally slipped it into the wrong hole, but realized it's not that much of a difference with the added bonus of not being out shit of luck if no women were present.

Agree
The people are genuinely nice and the food is good, if you have a real curiosity, go. There is a hare Krishna grouo and Ram temple near me, they love inviting non Hindus who are curious about the religion so they can answer questions and show off what they're all about. I've never been to a Hindu event where they force people into anything, it's a very relaxed religion

Why didn't the USSR support/fund the IRA? Wouldn't it have been the perfect way to weaken the British?

That's a great way to make all the western powers fight against the IRA.

In my opinion it was Britain.
What people forget is that wars are often won before the treaties have been signed. Sure, there are some blue-moon events, where a sudden battle turns to tide - but ultimately wars are won before they've properly ended.
WWII is no different, and from my understanding, the war was won in 1941.
You see, during 1939, Germany was on the offensive - in fact, they were rapidly on the offensive; they secured most of Europe with their 'revolutionary' new tactics, Blitzkrieg.
That being said, in 1941 that all changed.
By 1941 Britain singlehandedly had conquered most of North Africa, mainly because the Germans relied on the Italians too much, and by the time they stepped in it was too late.
Now, America did take part in the final battles of North Africa, such as Operation Torch, but by the Second Battle of El Alamein, North Africa had already been secured (I like to think OP: Torch as the cherry on the top of North Africa; sweeping away the Nazi dust).
With North Africa secured by Britain, Germany had to go on the defensive; we were knocking on their Europa fortress.
Now, North Africa wasn't only strategic because it was bordered between Europe, and because it led to the med. but it was also useful because it had oil fields; oil fields, Hitler desperately needed to sustain his crude war machine.
However, fortunately for Adolf, there were some oil fields in Russia... putting 2 and 2 together, it's clear Russia's entrance into the war was mainly spurred on by the Axis needing new oil fields to exploit (yes Hitler would have taken over Russia, but not when he was fighting Britain and now America).

Also, I think it's important to understand that the Antipodeans were pivotal in forcing Japan's hand in declaring war with America.
Whilst, it's true Japan always wanted to take American lands in the Pacific, they weren't stupid enough to do so whilst they were fighting the British Empire; however, consistent and powerful attacks on Japanese waters and islands by the ANZACs led Japan to conquer new lands to replace those lost to them, and to use against the ANZACs; fortunately, these 'new lands' were under American jurisdiction, which led Japan with the only possible option: attack America, and attack her naval capabilities as soon as possible.
So, to conclude - it's of my opinion that Britain - and her Empire - won the war for two reasons: it threatened the Axis so much that they had to attack other nations, and it had turned the war from the Axis conquering to the Axis defending.

>But the youth, looking upon him, loved him and began to beseech him that he might be with him. And going out of the tomb they came into the house of the youth, for he was rich. And after six days Jesus told him what to do and in the evening the youth comes to him, wearing a linen cloth over his naked body. And he remained with him that night, for Jesus taught him the mystery of the kingdom of God
As a Russoboo, Crusaderboo and a Byzantiboo, I have to state my respect for the Ottomans when you take into account their ability to effectively conquer and administer territory. The Millets were THE ideal way to prevent unrest in non-Muslim territories and the Devshirme, morality aside, allowed one of the first standing armies, which enabled the Empire to have some modicum of centralisation. The Ottoman Empire then managed to last around half a millenium after taking Constantinople, managing to rival the Roman Empire whose legacy it attempted to claim for itself - no mean feat.
Which brings me to another matter. If you had to create an empire to conquer the galaxy, what historical empire would you model it off? I thought about it quite a lot, because the Imperium of Mankind from Warhammer 40k seems quite dysfunctional - and sadly as a Byzantaboo and Crusadaboo, I see the parallels. Mindless treachery in the Administratum, meaningless wars based on religion rather than geopolitics, truly indicating of the End Times.
If we had to conquer the galaxy, I think we should do Millets in Space and Devshirme in space. Don't purge the Xeno. Make them pay space zakat and give their firstborn sons as part of the space Devshirme for the space Janissaries.
So /his/, the main question - if you had to design an interstellar state to conquer the world, in your experience, what should it be based of?

Ottomans or Romans.
Romans were fantastic at administering a giant diverse empire and making it's non-Roman subjects into Latin speaking Romans.
The Ottomans also administered a giant diverse empire, but they rejected assimilation for autonomy.
Massive downside to the Ottoman system was these territories suffered economically from poor local planning, Egypt and Syria were the richest areas under the Romans/Byzantines and even the Arabs, but became complete shitholes under the Turks.
So I'd go with the Roman style, since the development of their territories was superb. Plus they have a lasting legacy in the Romance languages.
We talk about the Dresden bombing conspiracy and attempts by Nazis to play it up in an attempt to drum up sympathy.
>Body count of the bombing super high
We all know 3 million werent bombed Hans give it up
>Where are the bodies. Why can't the archaeologists dig?
If you ask me it seems like (((they))) are just trying to drum up sympathy for thier cause by using made up crimes against themselves as a rallying cry.

I've been to Drezno, walked around the entire city and could not find the Mary statue. Could it be that it was actually a decoy used for a photoshoot of a staged place?

I definetly could see it. If you look at the picture, it looks like it could just be superimposed over a replica destroyed city on a small scale. Thats a great find anon
What's the historical consensus on this event? Was the internment of Japanese Americans completely bad or was it justified within context?
Pretty much a total non issue.
Really isn't anything surprising. American history is full of episodes where both the government and the people refused to actually believe in their own so-called principles.

>If anything like UFOs existed, they could demonstrate the existence of agents able to master a very sophisticated technology, something that would be compatible with what in this planet was advocated by socialism. In his pamphlet Les Soucoupes Volantes, le processus de la matiere et de l'energie, la science et le socialisme (Flying Saucers, the process of matter and energy, science and socialism), Posadas pleaded that "“We must call upon beings from other planets when they come to intervene, to collaborate with the inhabitants of the Earth to overcome misery.
