What are some good books that offer a critique of capitalism/modernism from a right wing, traditionalist standpoint?
>>3135793
Is it actually good or just "no usury"?
>>3135782
I unironically recommend reading Adorno.

Shut the fuck up.
Hitler
>In power for a little over a decade
>Country reduced to ruin
>Kill yourself in disgrace
>Years later you're a literal parody of what a mad dictator is and used as a ad hominem to demonize someone
Stalin
>In power for nearly 30 years
>Turn nation into superpower with many allies
>Years later the country you once terrorized is now saying you weren't that bad and is used as nostalgia for slavs everywhere
Why was Stalin so much more successful than Hitler?
He won the war that Hitler lost.

the Russians weren't completely modernized and therefore less decadent than the germans and Italians were
If the Shogunate had stayed in power, it's hard to imagine Japan would've turned into the marauding dictatorship it did under Imperial rule. Yoshinobu seems like a way more chill and sensible guy than Meiji.
Meiji was obviously an exceptional character, but Japan ran into the same problem all hereditary empires do: the inheritors. Shows especially seems like a weakling who allowed his authority to be ceded to militaristic nutters from samurai families.
At least being a quasi-republic kept a lid on the worst aspects of samurai culture geopolitically. I could see the Shogunate gradually becoming a more democratically representative place, akin to the short lived Republic of Ezo or modern day Burma.
>>3135686
Japan's Emperors have always been powerless cucks. Meiji was a fluke.
REMOVE IMPERIALS FROM THE PREMISES
On a related note, whats the best literature out there on the Boshin War that won't require me to learn Japanese?
Redpill me on the JFK Assassination

There was this guy named Lee Harvey Oswald and he chose to kill JFK.
>>3135647
Wow, what happened next?
>>3135653
He was arrested and later killed by someone else.
I know next to nothing about the American Civil War, but I'd like to learn.

A goofy Russia-fanboi with a rifle and some mental health issues.
Sometimes shit happens, and big events with big consequences do not always have a big interesting origin story.

Jackie was tired of being cucked and so fucked JFK's shit up.
Charles and Yvonne de Gaulle were both devout Catholics, so when their youngest daughter Anne was born on New Years Day in 1928, they had a strong faith to fall back on when they learned that Anne had Down Syndrome. She also had birth injuries that meant that she would never walk unaided. There was never any question about Anne being institutionalized. She was a member of their family, and she stayed with the family in all their travels. There was one sacred rule in the de Gaulle household: Anne was never to be made to feel different or less than anyone else. Charles de Gaulle was noted for his reserve and even with family members he was usually not very demonstrative. Not so with his daughter Anne, who received a warmth that he had seemed to be storing for his entire life just for her. “Papa” was the one word that Anne could say clearly. He would sing to her, read her stories and play with her. She was, he said simply, “My joy”. As de Gaulle said, “She helped me overcome the failures in all men, and to look beyond them.”
Yvonne de Gaulle, a formidable woman in her own right, as she demonstrated after the collapse of France in 1940 when by herself she traveled across the war torn country and made sure her family, including Anne, was on the last transport from Brest to England, in October 1945 bought the Château de Vert-Cœur and established a hospital for handicapped girls, the Fondation Anne de Gaulle. The de Gaulles were heart-broken when their beloved daughter died on February 6, 1948 in her father’s arms. After they had buried her, Charles gently told his weeping wife, “Maintenant, elle est comme les autres.” (Now, she’s like all the others.)
>>3135514
Of course the de Gaulles did not forget their daughter. Charles de Gaulles’ life was saved by his love for Anne on August 22, 1962 when an assassin’s bullet was deflected in the car he was riding by the frame of the picture of his daughter which he carried with him at all times. When he died in 1970 he was buried beside his daughter at Colombey-les-Deux-Églises as he requested. Love gives us no guarantees against the tragedies of life, but it does give us the strength to surmount them.

>citizens have to pay a fixed sum of money per office/position they vote for
>they receive a 1.5x payout if the candidate they voted for wins
I'd like to immediately state that I am aware this is an awful idea.
However, I'm curious, as a sort of thought experiment, of HOW this would impact a society if implemented, what societal changes would be seen in both the long-term and short-term?
>>3135470
>voting for the assumed winner for a payout
your not really voting for the best candidate or his platform in this case OP
everyone would vote for the most popular candidate
>>3135470
I kinda wanted this system for war.
Vote for the war? At least one offspring and war taxes please,
If we win you get part of the spoils. If we lose then fuck you anyways you warmonger.
