if those three are among your choices maybe you should also consider looking into historical linguistics/Indo-European studies. It includes all three in a way - English as a part of Germanic studies, Classics in the form of Latin and Greek and History in the form texts from all sorts of historical cultures including ancient India, the Tocharians, Persia, the Slavs, the Celts and of course the classical world and the Germanic peoples. It's also the field that Tolkien was in, so if you like the LOTR lore, it's definitely something for you.

I enjoy reading books on European History of the 19th and 20th Centuries, but I also enjoyed reading the philosophic writings of Ancient Greece and Rome, as well as the poetry of said eras. As far as more recent literature goes, my interests include Joyce, Nabokov, Lewis Carroll, Dante, Baudelaire, & Proust, to name some favourites.
I read LOTR as a teen, but I haven't any particular attachment to it.

I don't know how technically accurate it is but the film is definitely worth watching. Martin Sheen gives a great performance as Robert E. Lee and Lee's personality is why he's been remembered so fondly by most people with an interest in the Civil War or American history in general. Conflation of the Confederacy with racism is why people are opposed to his (and other) statues and memorials.

The Nazis were German/Aryan nationalists who were willing to kill huge numbers of white people to achieve their goals, were more willing to work with Japanese and Arabs than with Poles, imposed anti-rational collectivist totalitarianism that is at odds with the relatively liberal politico-economic systems that did much to enable white dominance of the globe to begin with, and lost in dramatic fashion.
How are they supposed to be good representatives of white nationalism?
Is it just that white nationalists have tended to buy into conspiracy theories about Jewish subversion? Is it the aesthetics and enduring power of Nazi propaganda?
