Rhodesia always interested me. The landscape looks ripe and serene, like Eden.

It's quite a shame the land is so impoverished.

Do you think there could've been a way that Rhodesia continued to exist?

No, frankly.

No since it was based off of sheer inability to adapt to just about everything that occurred post ww2.

Akhenaten was a monotheist and only worshiped Amun ("Spirit the Moves").
When he died, the other Egyptians went back to polytheism.
So no.

Steppe horse warriors have always been a problem for civilized societies when the smaller tribes would get pushed out of the steppe and invade settled lands.

But has the reverse ever been true?

Are there any historical examples of settled societies sending an invasion force into the steppe lands?

If not, what would that look like? What would a 2nd century Roman invasion of the Steppe look like?

What would consequences (both immediate and long-term) of a Central Powers victory in World War I be? Even if there were some nasty aspects to Imperial Germany, at least you'd avoid the Nazis/Holocaust, right?

Nothing because they absolutely had no chance of winning.

Austrian army was a pathetic mess that couldn't even take on Serbia alone. Germans had to fund fucking Bolsheviks in order to bring Russia down, and even once they were free of the Second front in 1918 they couldn't mount a proper offensive against the French.
>>
>>3296877
Unless the Germans won a stunning victory over the entente by the end of 1916, there was no hope of "victory". I say Germans because the AH forces are completely worthless.
Germany had no chance in hell of successfully invading Britain, so even if the government of France surrendered Britain could take over the French forces and continue the fight until Germany starved to death from the blockade. Germany had no manpower by 1917 to occupy France and enforce its demands. After 1916, the very best they could hope for was a white peace with a return to status quo.

So assuming Germany successfully destroyed the UK forces against the channel and captured Paris while successfully fending of Russia by 1916:

France would be stripped of most, if not all of her colonies since their Navy can't match Germany's. They would have to renounce their claims to Alsace and Lorraine and pay a hefty war indemnity. This would be fucking devastating to France, which really needed a victory over Germany after what happened in 1870. France might undergo a mirror of Wiemar Germany in the 1920-30s, where the government is too weak to do anything, and disgruntled veterans and paramilitary gangs dominate politics.

Since Italy never suffered massive losses that led to a Fascist Revolution, Fascism as we know it may never have come about. Italy would probably remain as a regional power. It might even turn neutral like the Swiss.

Russia would probably lose whatever it would have lost in the Brest-Litovsk treaty (formation of the Baltic States), plus some additional territory would be lost to the Ottomans. Poland would possibly be created as a buffer against Russia in the future. Nicky would probably be forced to abdicate out of political pressure. Russia would be wracked with revelotion, but no soviet takeover of Russia because Lenin is still rotting in prison. It's possible that communism never really gets as far as it did.

The Ottomans and AH carve up the Balkans, it probably won't last long anyway since AH and the Ottoman Empire are both rotting carcasses. Expect genocides.

Post some truly short historical figures (No Napoleon allowed). See the image, on the left is King Albert I of Belgium, on the left is Victor Emmanuel III. His listed height is 5' 0".

At what point does a culture deem it necessary to limit/regulate free speech?

I know that some cultures, like China or Russia, have limited free speech in their areas not only to prevent social upheavals, but in response said upheavals. And not just upheavals against those in power, but in times where certain sides kept conflicting with each other to boiling points, that resulted in fighting and chaos. You can start to see that after a number of times, a culture feels the need to limit freedom of expression in order to keep people from tearing each other apart.

Indeed, but every culture has at least some things in common ("huh?" exists in all language and means the same exact thing), and can shed light on how other cultures might react to being put under similar circumstances.

>Himself a Jew, Marx has around him, in London and France, but especially in Germany, a multitude of more or less clever, intriguing, mobile, speculating Jews, such as Jews are every where: commercial or banking agents, writers, politicians, correspondents for newspapers of all shades, with one foot in the bank, the other in the socialist movement, and with their behinds sitting on the German daily press — they have taken possession of all the newspapers — and you can imagine what kind of sickening literature they produce. Now, this entire Jewish world, which forms a single profiteering sect, a people of blooksuckers, a single gluttonnous parasite, closely and intimately united not only across national borders but across all differences of political opinion — this Jewish world today stands for the most part at the disposal of Marx and at the same time at the disposal of Rothschild. I am certain that Rothschild for his part greatly values the merits of Marx, and that Marx for his part feels instinctive attraction and great respect for Rothschild.

>This may seem strange. What can there be in common between Communism and the large banks? Oh! The Communism of Marx seeks enormous centralization in the state, and where such exists, there must inevitably be a central state bank, and where such a bank exists, the parasitic Jewish nation, which. speculates on the work of the people, will always find a way to prevail...

Here’s an excerpt Wurmbrand found in Marx’s first book, amazingly titled, “The Union of the Faithful with Christ”: “Through love of Christ we turn our hearts at the same time toward our brethren who are inwardly bound to us and for whom He gave Himself as sacrifice. …”

What does /his/ think about the utility/obsolescence of the concept of citizenship in 21th century? It is important to migrate to a wider concept like global citizenship? If so, What do you think are the main problems our society will face in the near-mid future? I'm thinking mainly in : (i) Earth's overcrowding as an issue for the next generations, which due to finite space, i think will necessarily take us to a scarcity scenario. (ii) "Nature" in general as a way to prevent the types of problems described in (i).
What could be the duties of the global citizen as a reflect of the nature of the link between human and the rest of nature?

Humanity will either die on this planet when we run of of resources or keep on spreading to other systems like a filthy virus. A centralised global government is not likely possible as long as people want freedom over security.
>>
I can only see a one world government happening if we start colonizing other worlds and earth is the central hub world. At that point it kinda makes sense for a multi-system humanity to have a singular government on earth.

How come psychological problems are harder to over come than physical problems?

>>
>>3296483
They aren't. To say that they are is an unjustified generalization. Schizophrenia is worse than missing your pinky fingers. However, missing a leg is worse than having social anxiety. It all depends on what exact physical and psychological problems you are comparing.
>>
Because the brain is highly complex and not easily remedied. You can't build a crutch for your crippling social anxiety or autism. You can only hope to find some chemical that radically alters your brain chemistry in the right direction, without crippling you in other ways
