What will be the consequences of the current global drop in average IQ? Will advanced industrialized technological societies be able to survive? How will the low IQ masses contribute to an economy which becomes more and more complex?

Is there any historical equivalent of what is happening right now?

It's dropping because low IQ populations are breeding more than high IQ populations.

THE "INTELLECTUAL QUOTIENT" ONLY INDICATES PERFORMANCE WITHIN AN OVERLY SPECIFIC SET OF PARAMETERS —IT DOES NOT MEASURE THE INTELLIGENCE, OR INTELLECTUAL CAPACITY, OF A PERSON, NOR IS IT INDICATIVE OF ANYTHING BY ITSELF, AND IT IS ONLY VALID WITHIN THE SPECIFIC CONTEXT OF THE GIVEN EXPERIMENT.

MEASURES, STATISTICS, AND MARKERS, ARE MERE EMPIRICAL DATA; TO USE VERIDIC INFORMATION TO BOLSTER SPURIOUS CONCLUSIONS, OR ARGUMENTS, IS A FLAGRANT ACT OF FALSITY.

Alright /phi/ this is going to be a semi-long post as I need your help in identifying the closest sect of philosophy I should align myself with.

First, let me tell you a bit about myself. I used to be an obese, insecure introvert that played video games and spent a shit ton of money. I was pretty much like this from 13 years old to the end of Fall semester of my freshman year. I got tired of being a shy, insecure virgin and lost weight. I'm now slightly overweight even after building muscle from lifting weights, so I've come a long way, although I have not reached my goal yet. Back then I never wanted to party, drink, do drugs, or in general go to big social events. Now I want the exact opposite, in fact, I am now extroverted (I am a sophomore so I changed largely in the Spring this year). I no longer play video games and I try to get out socially on the weekends.

Now I will try to explain these changes: I have always thought of myself as more of redpilled when it came to my world view. I realize that everyone around me (that is in America, a first world country) is living in paradise compared to third world shitholes. I feel guilty for this, I take shit for granted. Because of this, I think I realized this and finally started to cut out some of the pleasures of my life like food and video games. It could just be that I became more outgoing as one could argue that partying is as much as indulgence as playing a game.

The core issue: I am an atheist, I don't see a reason to believe in a God. In fact, I believe that whether or not a God exists is not the issue, as I don't think it can be the root cause of existence. In short, I think existence is impossible to understand, it's a paradox. Am I nihilistic? Absolutely not. I think this idea should encourage people to live their life to the fullest as life is all we know. Because of this, I want to maximize the potential of my life and hope to please others while doing so.

Will continue in next post.

Holy fuck I just /phi/ cause this is pretty much my first time on this board.

Anyways, continuing.

Sometimes I genuinely think I would sacrifice myself to save humanity or a large sum of people, whatever the scenario is. Idk why, maybe a lot of other people think this as well, but I think my sacrifice would be worth it if it meant everyone got to live and enjoy the rest of their lives. This is why I feel guilty about living in such a luxurious life, even as a poor college student. Because I know that I can give my life up right now and aid those that are in need. Why don't I do it? I don't know. Perhaps I think that isn't the best approach to solving our problems. At the same time, I want to live my life, however.

Anyways, if you guys can give me some readings and material to study up on this, I'd appreciate it.

If any of you have similar thoughts, please share. I'd love to discuss.

Once they (the Germans) mounted a dummy figure of a man on their parapet. Tommy had great sport shooting at it, the Germans jiggling its arms and legs in a most laughable manner whenever a hit was registered. In their eagerness to ‘get a good bead’ on the figure, the men threw caution to the winds, and stood on the firing benches, shooting over the top of the parapet. Fritz and Hans were true sportsmen while the fun was on, and did not once fire at us. Then the dummy was taken down, and we returned to the more serious game of war with the old deadly earnestness. I recall such incidents with joy as I remember certain happy events in childhood. We needed these trivial occurrences to keep us sane and human. There were not many of them, but such as there were, we talked of for days and weeks afterward.

"A World Undone" makes the claim that John Monash was the best general of the war, but doesn't go into detail on why this was such. The book merely implies that he was able to make the best use of the new technology of the era and that his troops had phenomenal success in capturing and holding land. Looking through your articles, you seem to be focusing on the Australian troops, so you might know something about this. What exactly made him so special?

i often see liberals bring up the violence of the old testament to justify the violence in the quran..

however there are fundamental differences
the violence in the old testament is DESCRIPTIVE, it is not commanding anything, but describing, and if there is any commanding, its certain individuals

the violence in the Quran is PRESCRIPTIVE, it is commanding violence to a general muslim population
Also the Bible was never seen as being the uncorrupted literal word of God like the Quran

Richard Spencer (not the nazi) has gone extensively into why trying to equate both the violences in the quran and the old testament as being the same is problematic

Why is secular ideology allowed to be based on the violence of the state but religion isn't?

Deuteronomy 13
> 6“Suppose someone secretly entices you—even your brother, your son or daughter, your beloved wife, or your closest friend—and says, ‘Let us go worship other gods’—gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known. 7 They might suggest that you worship the gods of peoples who live nearby or who come from the ends of the earth. 8 But do not give in or listen. Have no pity, and do not spare or protect them. 9 You must put them to death! Strike the first blow yourself, and then all the people must join in. 10 Stone the guilty ones to death because they have tried to draw you away from the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of slavery. 11 Then all Israel will hear about it and be afraid, and no one will act so wickedly again.

>12 “When you begin living in the towns the Lord your God is giving you, you may hear 13 that scoundrels among you are leading their fellow citizens astray by saying, ‘Let us go worship other gods’—gods you have not known before. 14 In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find that the report is true and such a detestable act has been committed among you, 15 you must attack that town and completely destroy[b] all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. 16 Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the open square and burn it. Burn the entire town as a burnt offering to the Lord your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. 17 Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the Lord will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a large nation, just as he swore to your ancestors.

Also, why did Bavaria fought all the time unlike every single country besides the Emperor?

Every time the Emperor defeated a rebel, a new rebel or foreign power joined the war. The Emperor won the first few wars, defeating the Palatinate, Bohemian Rebels, and Danish rebels, but once France started funding the Sw*dish invasion, there was no way it was going to win.

Bavaria decided that placing itself as the champion of the Catholic faction would bring it prestige and make it the most important duchy after Austria, as well as diminish Austria's influence. When this didn't really work out, it started more directly opposing Austria in the late 17th and 18th centuries by allying openly with France instead.
>>
>>3308768
The Emperor did not realize the times were changing, the anti-habsberg alliance were saved by Sweden and latter by French assistance.

>Why didnt they tried to stop it?
Because like WWI, neither side wanted to back down. The war was presented as a giant match between the religion but it actually boiled down to one questions: Who runs the HRE?
France had vested interest that the smaller states bickered and the Emperor had no real power. also fuck the Habsburgs, if you're french.
