Why didn't Nixon ask for a recount in 1960? Preservation of American moral credibility?

Kennedy and Richard M. Daley stole Chicago, by getting their henchmen to pose as the recent dead, voting multiple times. Johnson got his boys in Texas to do the same, having cattle registered as voters.

America was much worse off in 1968 than it was 8 years prior. A recount would've exposed these frauds and preserved the integrity of the American political system, even if the democrats would've temporarily smeared Nixon's reputation.

Imagine a successful Bay of Pigs, no Cuban missile crisis, no JFK trying to save face by "going all the way" in Vietnam, no Hart-Celler immigration act, no liberal justice movement, etc.

They had this poem/battle cry thing that they'd recite before fighting. Roughly translated, it goes

"We will drink chicha from your skull,
From your teeth we'll make a necklace,
From your bones, flutes,
From your skin we'll make a drum,
And then we will dance!"

Utter crap. There's plenty of instances of defensive siege warfare, from ancient history to the very war he fought in! What the hell do you call Stalingrad, if not a successful defence?
>>
>>2479685
Stalingrad was saved by a counter offensive and constant counter attacks by Russian forces in the city, not to mention Russia taking logistical superiority

moral realism is an unhealthy concept that inherently incites aggression and imperialism
>>
Relativism can only be a product of ill-defined terms. If you look at the definition of morality, it's obvious that it can only be objective.

Do we know anything about the languages that were spoken in Europe before they were replaced by Indo-European ones, and how they might have been absorbed into the modern languages spoken today?

Russian is the closest you'll get to an ancient European language.

Basque is the most prominent surviving pre-indo-european language, though it has been severely influenced by its surroundings(Spanish, French and Catalan)

Russian is one of the closest modern languages spoken by ice age man.

hey, /his/.

i need to think of a topic for a research paper i'm writing. my idea was to write about the differences in the philosophy of language between the analytic and continental schools, but that idea was shut down by my supervisor. so here i am, asking for help on the history and humanities board on an afghan mug collecting website. FWIW, i'm a literature major.

thanks for any help.

Write about how whether German imperialism from 1870-1914 was more of a chimpout or more along the lines of dindufication.
>>
>>2482435
well, if i didn't care about graduating, i would. but i'd like something that's related to both the philosophy of language and literature.
>>
>>2482526

You probably should have said that at the outset.

How about something about what effects mass media has had on linguistic drift, and how it tends to homogenize language?

My theory is that he transitioned way too fast from one extreme to the other; from Communist central planning to Libertarian free markets. But I'd like to hear the actual reasons.

It seems to me like he was a guy who had his heart in the right place, but his policy reforms were too much too fast.

It's in the Muslims Fitra. The word “FITRA” means disposition. The 5 Characteristics of Fitra has to be followed, as they are the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu’Alayhiwassalam).
CIRCUMCISION: Removal of foreskin from the male private part.
PUBIC HAIR REMOVAL: Shaving the pubic hair (hairs in private parts) for both men and women.
MAKING MOUSTACHES SHORT:

Narrated Nafi Ibn Umar (Radiallahu’Anhu) said, The Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu’Alayhiwassalam) said, ‘Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the mustaches short.’ Whenever Ibn Umar (Radiallahu’Anhu) performed the Hajj or Umra (Radiallahu’Anhu), he used to hold his beard with his hand and cut whatever mustaches. Ibn Umar (Radiallahu’Anhu) used to cut his moustache so short that the whiteness of his skin (above the upper lip) was visible, and he used to cut (the hair) between his mustaches and his beard. [ Sahih Bukhari, Vol:7, Book:72, Hadith#780]. This hadith shows that men has to cut their mustaches short and grow their beards (opposite to non-muslim men).
TRIMMING NAILS:Cutting the nails is compulsory. But today, many men as well as women are growing up their nails, imitating non-muslims as style.
REMOVING ARM PIT: Removing off the arm pit hairs, is also a part of Sunnah.
