If the war never happened, would Wernher have still gotten his funding?

Furthermore, would the Germans have been the first to space in this case?

It really depends if they get their funding before the impending post war economic crash.
>>

Probably not much, the rockets weren't particularly useful although if they had been produced earlier and in larger numbers, the civilian death toll in the UK would have been higher.

A better question is, what kind of horror would Allied bombers have faced if Hitler had become obsessed with jet planes prior to WW2?

>Several years before World War II, the Germans foresaw the great potential for aircraft that used the jet engine constructed by Hans Joachim Pabst von Ohain in 1936. After the successful test flights of the world's first jet aircraft—the Heinkel He 178—within a week of the Invasion of Poland to start the war, they adopted the jet engine for an advanced fighter aircraft. As a result, the Me 262 was already under development as Projekt 1065 (P.1065) before the start of World War II. The project originated with a request by the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM, Ministry of Aviation) for a jet aircraft capable of one hour's endurance and a speed of at least 850 km/h (530 mph; 460 kn).[10] Dr Waldemar Voigt headed the design team, with Messerschmitt's chief of development, Robert Lusser, overseeing.[11]

I have a hunch that the answer would probably be neither,

it depends on the circumstances of the world/the change in the timeline,

>Different end to ww1,
>Different Terms in the Treaty of Versailles .
>Different Outcome of the Russian Revolution/bolshevik power-struggle.
>etc. etc.

This pic sums it up nicely
Enver Pasha invaded russian territory and when it failed miserably he blamed it on the christians (armenians in particular) when the invasion actually failed thanks to his incompetence.

It'd be fun to see Varg become a dictator of Norway and not always having the international community wanting to beat him down.

>Phryne's real name was Mnēsarétē (Μνησαρέτη, "commemorating virtue"), but owing to her yellowish complexion she was called Phrýnē ("toad").

>Athenaeus provides many anecdotes about Phryne. He praises her beauty, writing that on the occasion of the festivals of the Eleusinia and Poseidonia she would let down her hair and step naked into the sea.

>Athenaeus alleges she was so rich that she offered to fund the rebuilding of the walls of Thebes, which had been destroyed by Alexander the Great in 336 BC, on the condition that the words "Destroyed by Alexander, restored by Phryne the courtesan" be inscribed upon them.

>she gave herself to the philosopher Diogenes free of charge because she admired his mind.

> Diogenes Laërtius narrates a failed attempt Phryne made on the virtue of the philosopher Xenocrates.

>The best known event in Phryne's life is her trial. Athenaeus writes that she was prosecuted for a capital charge and defended by the orator Hypereides, who was one of her lovers. Athenaeus does not specify the nature of the charge, but Pseudo-Plutarch writes that she was accused of impiety.[13] The speech for the prosecution was written by Anaximenes of Lampsacus according to Diodorus Periegetes. When it seemed as if the verdict would be unfavourable, Hypereides removed Phryne's robe and bared her breasts before the judges to arouse their pity. Her beauty instilled the judges with a superstitious fear, who could not bring themselves to condemn "a prophetess and priestess of Aphrodite" to death. They decided to acquit her out of pity.

There are more, but only in the HellenicWeb.

Stalin was a savior of the Orthodox Church and Russian tradition. It was the godless Bolshevik Jew Trotsky who wanted to destroy everything Russian, but luckily based Koba put an ice pick through his head.

Even as a Georgian Stalin was more Russian than some real ethnic Russians back then.

The European and Chinese dragon are unrelated. Some person just called the Chinese long a "dragon" because it was a reptile thing. The Chinese fenghuang is unrelated to the phoenix but people still call it a "Chinese phoenix".

30 Years War was when things started to go south.

Centuries of decline followed, and the Napoleonic invasion gave South American countries an opportunity to get out by declaring independence.

Hey /his/, I'm looking to do a painting set during the June rebellion in France however cannot find historical reference for French police uniforms in the 1830s aside from the film Les Misérables. However I doubt the historical accuracy of the costumes. Does anyone know the history of French police uniforms or what they might have been like at this time.

Many thanks. Picture not related.

That's 1824 however I appreciate the effort, the uniforms for the military changed in 1830 following the July revolution so I'm assuming it would also for changed for the police. That's why it's hard to find reference. I know the National Guard took part in the most part of the fighting but it's what the everyday police might be wearing I am looking for.
