>what is the sound of one hand clapping
>water is soft and hard
Is there any eastern philosophy that isn't full of this contradictory nonsense?

Water is soft and hard, it can be fluid and soft or frozen and hard. If you hit or fall into water at a high velocity its surface the experience will be similar to hitting a rock wall

Why do we pretend this is an Eastern problem?

They were trying to solve a logical paradox, they weren't introducing a logical paradox.
>The nature of things is to have no nature; it is their non-nature that is their nature. For they have only one nature: no-nature.
- Buddhist philosopher Nagarjuna
I admit it's almost entirely because of Paradox games, but I'm really interested/_eaboo about the Duchy of Burgundy. Did it ever seriously have a chance as an independent kingdom as its rulers sought to be recognized as, or would it have the same vulnerabilities as the kingdom of Lotharingia that it was partially the resurrection of? Are there any good (English) books that go more into depth into its history than Wikipedia, or at least online articles?

here's a list of works on burgundy and low countries in the middle ages
The Pope was right when he said it's better to be an atheist than an non-devout Catholic.
Look at Jordan Peterson. He's most likely an atheist but he believes the teachings of Christianity to be absolutely true as a prescription of how to live a virtuous life righteously. From how he talks about science and evolution, he obviously doesn't believe the mysticism of the Bible to be empirically true but he absolutely believes the teachings of the archetype of Jesus are a map of the absolute right way to live life. And he authentically, in good faith, acts out this belief in his everyday life.
Compare that to the average Christian. Most are Christian out of fear and hedonism. They fear hell and they desire heaven. Not because they wish to not do harm and to do right and to be in align with God. But because they want a hedonistic pleasure they think heaven offers and to avoid being tortured in hell. Their motivations are almost entirely of carnal self-interest with no conception of a higher good than themselves. Look at what these people pray to receive. To win a sports game, to get a raise, etc etc. It's always physical, material desires that they pray for. They completely misunderstand Christianity to the point of absolute heresy where they have completely subverted it to be indistinguishable from Satanism.

I thought they based their ideology on him.
I don't know, but do you realize he had stomach problems all his life and caught dysentery in 1941? I wonder if he pooped himself, what he was wearing, what color(s) it was, how much at a time, and how many times?

Were American racial attitudes towards Japanese in ww2 similar to German racial attitudes towards Jews and Slavs?
>>2524779
No. John Dower pls fuck off
No, there was a large population of ethnic Germans and Italians in the US, so the propaganda department generally focused on liberation of those countries rather than subjugation of barbarians.
The war against Japan however was shapped as a fight against some gook-faced rats; they'd go round-eye once the US marines dragged them out of their shit-filled cave by their tiny yellow balls.
No, it was just propaganda designed to make their enemy appear to be inhuman monsters and make young Jimmy pumped at the thought of killing some baby-stabbing Nips.
Of course, the Japanese army certainly did nothing to dissuade such a reputation.
Can anyone translate 'arabic in english text' for me?
I've been getting a couple of weird replies from some guy in a FB group that say or a variation of "Tere amma daa phuda gandu".
Profile posts indicate he's arabic and really fucking artsy, so I'm hoping >Tere amma daa phuda gandu is arabic.
It means "Hi I like to meet you"
He say anything after that?
OP are you perchance a Swedish or German female?
Ok, be honest /his/, you were this guy weren't you?

The quintessential wehraboo? No
I realize all powerful ideologies in the modern day are in some way descended from, and thus heresies of, Christianity
24 After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power. 25 For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. 26 And the last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For the Scriptures say, âGod has put all things under his authority.â (Of course, when it says âall things are under his authority,â that does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.) 28 Then, when all things are under his authority, the Son will put himself under Godâs authority, so that God, who gave his Son authority over all things, will be utterly supreme over everything everywhere.

>1980's United States of America
Why am I so addicted with this certain time period? Like, why was everything so perfect? I was born in 1998, yet based on my parent's stories, pop culture, and music. This generation was the best. There were more White people in America and the fashion was just superior. The technology, video games, music etc. everything about this timeline was perfect. We need to go back to the 1980's. I wish I was born in the 70's so I could experience this generation.
If you think otherwise, explain why the 1980's were bad
As a legit 90s kid (born in 86) the 80s aesthetic always seemed backwards and tacky and out of date to me as a kid so I always hated it. I still do.
I think you need to stop listening to vaporwave.

Another 86 here, I grew up on watching 80s movies and listening to 80s music and I love that shit.
Can someone explain this?
Jews.
Global Flood.
>>2524670
I believe in global cooling. I believe in the resurfacing of ancient landmasses. I believe in Lemuria and Thule under the seas, as well as Agartha under the Earth. The Mycenaean were controlled by the race of Olympians gods of Thule. The coming race will return and bring a new Golden Age.
That picture's fake though.

>England and France start a new world war to ensure Poland's sovereignty and independence
>they declare victory in the end and claim to have achieved their goals, even though Poland is still occupied and not independent, even though that was ostensibly their entire reason for starting the war.
>circumstances become different over time

The war was about saving the Jews from day 1. Poland had the largest Jewish population of Europe.
>>2524585
The war was about destroying Germany. Saying Anglos gave a fuck about Poland in ww2 is like saying they gave a fuck about Serbia in ww1

If by "the War" you mean WW2, that can't possibly be right, as there was a Luftwaffe strike on Warsaw, Operation Wasserkante, before Britain even entered the war on the 3rd.
