Noted.
Basically just buy a better microphone, it was a nice podcast, my only other suggestion would be to narrow down the focus of your episodes into something that fits your format better. 44 minutes is a short amount of time to over almost 800 years of history. But don't be discouraged. I subscribed
At what point in history did western Europe have knowledge of science and theology comparable to West Africa before European imperialism?
How many years of progress did the Western world have on pic related?
>>2527145
>How many years of progress did the Western world have on pic related?
depending on the specific places and cultures compared, roughly from 10 to 10 000
>>2527155
>10 000
I find that very hard to believe, anon.

At what period would you say we had surpassed Greco-Roman architecture? I would say only in the 12th century. Earlier churches and stuff looked kinda shitty in comparison.
In 537 AD.
Everything before the Crystal Palace in 1851 was just an imitation of Greco-Roman architecture, not anything fundamentally new.
>>2526905
That's literally Greco-Roman

Judge Gorsuch studied philosophy at Oxford focusing on the "New Natural Law"
>Perfect (also known as a Parfait in French or Perfectus in Latin) was the name given by Bernard of Clairvaux to a monk of the medieval Christian religious movement of southern France and northern Italy commonly referred to as the Cathars. The term reflects that such a person was seen by the Catholic Church as the "perfect heretic". As "bonhommes" (their term) Perfecti were expected to follow a lifestyle of extreme austerity and renunciation of the world which included abstaining from eating meat and avoiding all sexual contact. By that virtue they were recognized as trans-material (i.e. spiritualized) angels by their followers, the Credentes (Croyant in French, Believers in English).
Was it autism?
Why did the Catholics massacre them, if their celibacy guaranteed they'd die off anyway?
>>2526861
Because killing heretics is fun and rewarding.

What went wrong?
I can't stand the shit that suburban housing gets for being 'cookie-cutter'.
Thinking that creativity and uniqueness is somehow expressed through the architecture of your home makes as much sense as the belief that you can appear creative and unique by dying your hair pink and getting tattoos.
It's quite the opposite.
These are all superficial things, any attempt at portraying excellence through them is a desperate attempt to hide the fact that you're boring as fuck.
How do you know that those houses aren't occupied by great thinkers and enlightened individuals?
Don't get me wrong the suburbs are basically a place where people to go to die, intellectually, but it's not because of the architecture.
There is literally nothing wrong with that given what the alternatives are when it comes to mass, cheap housing.

>What is the best __ and why is it __?
Yea that doesnt make sense because it's always black people that people say that about.
>start the Atlantic slave trade
>the majority of African slaves exported in this trade were sent to Portuguese holdings
>one of the only countries where black slaves made up a significant number of domestic as well as colonial population
>genocide natives
>found colony even more brutal to its (much larger) native population than the Anglos
>at their peak had one of the largest colonial empires ever
>help stick the dagger in the heart of Napoleon at the beheast of the Eternal Anglo thus ensuring regressive monarchies would dominate for another century
>left their colonies in a state of ruin worse than even the Anglos/French/Spanish
>committed shitloads of war crimes putting down their colonial rebellions
>last country to give up their overseas colonies, ruling significant chunks of Africa until 1975
In a world where the evil deeds of most country's pasts are stigmatized, particularly the European colonial powers, when will the Eternal P*rtuguese finally be brought to justice? They can't keep getting away with it. Even /his/ forgets their subhuman depravity.
None of those deeds are evil. But stay spooked, OP.

Do you feel like Anti-intellectualism is alive in America today? It seems like it's mutated from a general disdain for "nerds and geeks" into this praise of people like Nye and Tyson. Are we inhibiting our intellectual growth by worshiping false gods of intelligence?
>>2523444
Yes. Scientism is the new hip thing in which the youth, mainly, interpret some pop-scientist's word as gospel and socially eschew people who disagree with them. Also, atheism is the new cool thing.
>>2523444
>Do you feel like Anti-intellectualism is alive in America today?
Very much so.
>It seems like it's mutated from a general disdain for "nerds and geeks" into this praise of people like Nye and Tyson
Maybe. I think a lot of it comes from dignity culture becoming more aggressive and more about appearing postmodern and "cool" yourself while ridiculing and "roasting" your opponent.
I don't see how praising Bill Nye or NDT is anti-intellectualism. If anything, their pop science is a desperate attempt to market science to a disinterested and distrustful populace.
Universally speaking, what is considered an "attractive woman"?
>>2520286
Not ugly, no deformities, healthy weight and size
>>2520286
any woman form which a beta retrieves a value, a relevance and turn this into a pride.
>>2520286
Facial symmetry, youth, fertility.
