Can someone tell me the truth about the kurds?
They seem like the only people in the middle east who cares about modern liberal values.(besides Israel) They also seem to treat christians, yazidis and different minorities etc better.

Is it impossible to have a non-biased, objective view of the 20th century? Everyone (including me) seems so blurred with nostalgia about every decade that we can't look at it properly without creaming our pants about how things were 'so good' back then, and then doing the same thing 15 years later looking back on the this present time.

I've read many times on /his/ and /pol/ that russians are mongol rape babies, that they are at least 1/4 mongol genetically, etc.
How accurate is this? How much mongol DNA do modern russians posess? Was it a result of rapes or was there also intermarrying between russians and mongols? What do western and russian historians say about this matter?

Mongols didn't settle on the territory nor did they establish a permanent occupational government, they just collected tribute once a year and occasionally made punitive expeditions. So except for occasional rape-train once every 30 years, there wasn't much interaction between Russians and Mongolians.

My local palace burnt to the ground during American air raids in WW2.
It was a national treasure, however they are reconstructing the palace from scratch using historical methods and craftsmen.
I think its pretty fantastic to rebuild using authentic materials instead of a concrete imitation of the building with gift shops etc. It adds more meaning to the structure itself.
Ill post photos of what they've built so far. I went there. It was FANTASTIC!

Ok I want to know why France is depicted as a nation of cowards who always surrender. I mean yes we surrender in ww2 (
I would be interested to see what the United States would have done if they had a common border with Germany) but we fought everybody in Europe for centuries, we (almost) conquered Russia, we conquered the seconde largest colonial empire, we won the First world war and we ahve the best victories/wars ratio of Europe.
So the ''surrender'' joke is that just a little joke, is it proper to uneducated people or is it just jealousy?

To answer your specific example, rejection from the community was a real danger for our ancestors. It's not the public speaking itself that's triggering your instincts, it's the fact you know it's possible you'll look like an idiot to members of your tribe that's sperging your mokey self out.
To answer your more broad question, it depends, but fear is still rational. We find cockroaches and maggots gross even though they themselves are not a direct threat, but because they're indicative of an environment where you might get sick or eat rotten food. We fear asking someone out because of tribal rejection. We fear death because of self-awareness.
