Leninists are filthy revisionists who hate orthodox Marxism though.

Can commies make ONE, just ONE decent meme?

If leftypol is any indication, no.
It's better this way though, they're too arrogant to admit how unfunny they are.

Does class exist?
What is class?

Marx adhered to Smith and classical economics though. It's modern economics that departed from Smith. Smith hated landlords as unproductive parasitic leeches that got income solely due to ownership like Marx hated capitalists. Smith was also in favor of policy that aided the worker. He just thought that mercantilism and tariffs for anything but fledgling industries was not the way to do it. Smith wrote in favor of markets, not in favor of capitalism.
It is a social construct

Have to do a research project about a sociological problem for uni. What are some that are decently interesting, that aren't about racism or equality
What a fat dog.
>>2549655
>that aren't about racism or equality
Its almost like you dont want to pass
>>2549655
Maybe stuff like the extinction of various Celtic languages in the British Isles? Would that be sociological enough?
Was there any action during the Korean War that took place outside of Korea?
Did the US bomb or raid China at all or was fighting restricted exclusively to Korea?
>>2549497
there may have been some..mostly naval stuff. If there were any us units that went into china for any reason it is in all likely hood still classified..mcarthur wanted to bomb china..but it never happened.
Also a third question, was there any conflict in Hong Kong since the PRC and the UK were at war?
>>2549542
No. Because officially, the Chinese weren't at war with anyone, and unofficially, they didn't want to escalate the war beyond the limited front in Korea (because that's really all they could do). That's why the army group they sent into Korea was known as the "Peoples' Volunteers Army".
not many ppl will take this seriously lol but i need to do a survey for my government class about the trans bathroom bill and 3 other questions. its anonymous and takes like 2 minute tops..

Was the emperor an official position like a consul or a praetor, or was it just the de facto permanent investment of imperium into a single man?
>>2549130
he was permanent
in the age of the republic they would either send 2 consuls to war , or they would elect a dictator if times were really bad
>>2549174
but was it an official constitutional position?
>>2549192
I'm not sure to tell ya the truth if your looking for specifics , i know in the early stages of the empire they did keep the senate around. Perhaps Augustus wrote it into law officially if Julius didn't
So i found out that Rastafarians are a very small minority in Jamaica, there's not even 5% of them. How come Rastafarians are so excessively represented in a popular image about Jamaicans? Is this just a thing Jamaican-Americans use to LARP about muh heritage?
>>2549098
Blame Bob Marley.
>>2549098
I think the other jamaicans just get sick of their shit and gently encourage them to emigrate. They are borderline black israelite-tier, it's just that the weed smoking makes them seem "nice" and whitey wants sum o dat pass the toke yo
>>2549108
Pretty much this. The only real exposure most people have to Jamaica culturally is through a person who was a very vocal Rastafarian. That makes them think all Jamaicans are Rastafarians.
Do any /his/torians know where else I could get a good idea of how "Okies" would've spoken (accent & slang) during the Great Depression?
For that matter, how would your "general" American accent back then have differed from that of today?
Every time I try to look into this elsewhere, all I can find are articles about Southern Accents in the Civil War, and the dreaded "Did Old Americans REALLY Sound British Like On 1930s Radio?" (spoiler: No, they didn't)
>>2548520
>For that matter, how would your "general" American accent back then have differed from that of today?
There wouldn't be one, for starters.
>>2548523
Bad phrasing. How would an urban Midwesterner have sounded?
My Grandparents were born towards the end of this era, and I've noticed they do pronounce some things differently.
"Orange" is more like "Ahrange", "Monday" is more like "Mondee" and they pronounce the "H" in "Whip". They don't do the "Warshington" thing, though.
Not exactly what you're asking for but there are some pretty old and obscure accents in this series.

Nothing like blaring through a fresh red without getting a ticket, even though the light has cameras.

I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but seriously what the fuck is with the hand inside the coat gesture? Why do so many seemingly unrelated major historical figures do it?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand-in-waistcoat
>The pose traces back to classical times — Aeschines, founder of a rhetoric school, suggested that speaking with an arm outside one's toga was bad manners. Arline Meyer, in her essay "Re-Dressing Classical Statuary: The Eighteenth-Century 'Hand-in-Waistcoat' Portrait," notes the pose being used in eighteenth century British portraiture as a sign of the sitter's breeding. Francois Nivelon's A Book Of Genteel Behavior of 1738 noted the hand-inside-vest pose denoted "manly boldness tempered with modesty."

Was anything of value lost?
No I don't think so. Bear in that was done in an era where there weren't any medications for the severely mentally ill and they spent the entirety of their lives shitting themselves in institutions. Honestly giving them a dignified death in a gas chamber was a very good thing to do.
>>2547994
No. Nothing of value was lost.
>>2548012
This is shitposting.
Does this disprove a righteous God?
It proves that if you're too dumb to feed yourself you will starve.
A better question is why they don't mercy kill that baby.
