It was a very one sided short war that the US dominated with superior everything.
Also we don't like to talk about the war crimes. Because they didn't happen.

What kind of abilities should have the next Optimus Maximus Imperator of a future Terran Empire? According to historical events, what should he do in order to lay the foundations of this Empire?

idk what you're asking, but I have something i've always wanted to ask /his/.

Lets say I take a bunch of followers and start building a town in the middle of nowhere. Like, Canadian north or Australian outback or the Sahara desert or some shit.

So here we are, a small town completely independant from the "state" we happen to geographically reside in.

How long before the outside world finds out about us? Is there enough time for the town to grow before the GOVERNMENT sends its AGENTS to collect taxes/kill the new threat?

If we manage to evade detection, we can begin expanding to increase our territory and absorb nearby towns. Before long we will have a modern slave empire.
ISIS did it, with the world watching.
Can we do it somewhere obscure and get away with it? Lay down the foundations of a new state?

Obviously none of the worlds GOVERNMENTs will recognize our claim to power, they will demand payment for taking up land or send in military to kill us "crazy cultists".
But is there a chance?

1 year. Someone is gonna leak it and then we're gonna have spies to make sure we aren't gonna have a Jonestown. Your best hope is for the end of the world.
>>
>>2674129
>But is there a chance?
lol fuck no. all those places you listed (canadian north/australian outback/sahara desert) are all uninhabited shitholes for a reason: they're shitholes and way too tough to live in, let alone build an empire from. all best places are taken, and most of the second, third, and fourth tier places are too.

the state would discover you and your group either when it is noted you all are dragging a ton of shit into the middle of nowhere, or when it inevitably fails and your sorry asses come crawling back for help.

ISIS didn't start from the sand dunes, they seized towns and eventually cities in the midst of an iraq recovering from foreign invasion/civil war and a syria balls deep in civil war. a far cry from doing so in a stable state, and they absolutely didn't build a town from the ground up.

The Biblical account in both Luke and Acts states that Jesus - in a very literal manner - began to float upwards as he "rose" to Heaven. However, no Christian today actually believes that Heaven or God's domain is literally in our sky - so why did Jesus physically rise and float away into the atmosphere? After all, for all effects and purposes, Christians believe Heaven is in some other dimension. So the account of Jesus floating away just leaves us with a petty God/Jesus, who flies away exclusively for the aesthetic effect of impressing his followers, even as he hypocritically and explicitly warns his believers to not ask for miracles or grand displays.

Sure, I know the answer is that the story is simply a folk-tale, but I want to see how the Christians struggle to defend this one. The response better not be "it's a metaphor", because then I have to ask on what criteria this account is "metaphorical", and, once having this criteria, how perhaps these should be applied to other accounts in the New Testament.

The continent of Atlantis was an island
which lay before the great flood
in the area we now call the Atlantic Ocean.
So great an area of land, that from her western shores
those beautiful sailors journeyed
to the South and the North Americas with ease,
in their ships with painted sails.

To the East Africa was a neighbour, across a short strait of sea miles.
The great Egyptian age is but a remnant of The Atlantian culture.
The antediluvian kings colonised the world
All the Gods who play in the mythological dramas
In all legends from all lands were from fair Atlantis.
Knowing her fate, Atlantis sent out ships to all corners of the Earth.
On board were the Twelve:
The poet, the physician, the farmer, the scientist,
The magician and the other so-called Gods of our legends.
Though Gods they were -
And as the elders of our time choose to remain blind
Let us rejoice and let us sing and dance and ring in the new
Hail Atlantis!

Except for Holocaust and De Bello Gallico, what are some hystorical mass murder campaigns and their relative purposes?

>De Bello Gallico
>mass murder campaigns
Nigga what? You might well count it as population displacement, but it certainly wasn't a mass murder campaign, unless you consider ww2 a mass murder campaign against russians.

>>2671812
>it certainly wasn't a mass murder campaign
He ran amok and called it a great military victory more than a few times anon.
>>
>>2671812
Of course anon, that is debatable and we can discuss about it. The point is that I need some stories about violent campaings focused against one population and their purposes.
That was more to give you a range of acceptability from the extreme line of holocaust to the high-mid tier of De Bello Gallico.
I need population left close to extinction for narrarive purposes and also good hystorical material to read for personal culture :)

What should I read as a companion to this to balance Zinn's blatant lefty views.

in some circumstances its the state in which the people revolting are in. The american colonists were some of the best off, they had a growing economy and population with it whereas revolts in france (1783) and the russians (1917) for example had rampart poverty and little food. Another possibility is the people behind the revolts and their efforts, whereas Samuel Adams and other rebels ran along the streets shouting that the regulars are coing or when americans dropped their farming equipment to quickly run to the fight the french beheaded guards and the russian hung a bunch of people. Another fact is that the americans had the possibility to sit Washington on the american throne just as Napoleon later did but they, unlike any other civilization, truly fought for freedom.
>>
A revolution is a process of increasing radicalization, and by the time the government is radical enough to defend itself using violence cucks like op think it's trash. The American war of independence wasn't a revolution, there was no societal change
