1979 a major leakage of Anthrax spores occurred in a lab in the USSR. Approximately about hundred people would die from the diseases and and it was quickly covered up by the USSR which didn't want to be known to be breaking the convention against biological weapons. The outbreak was blamed on badly handled meat and all medical journals was removed.
An investigation 1992 found the cause of the outbreak to air filter supposed to separate the sporse from the outside world being removed and not replaced until a few hours. This time was enough for a large amount of spores to be released into the wild where it got carried to the infected through the wind. It was only a matter of chance that ensured the wind was not going towards the city, putting hundreds of thousands of people at risk.

How did he predict WW2?
>Does Germany still exist?
Yes.
>War in twenty years.

Punish a country by taking land, placing massive economic struggles, demobilizing the military in a militaristic country and blame the country for the whole war and you can bet your ass that they will be angry enough to warrant another war.
>>2684379
Chuckled desu
Germany must be destroyed
What's real?

That which isn't imagined.

Whoa so deep and meaninful.
Shut the fuck up fag.
did romans really charge at enemies with pigs on fire?
I can't find a real pic (only videogames and CGI) so I'm doubtful now
>>2684251
>real pic
Nigga wut
Yeah they did it during the punic wars to scare the enemy war elephants
>>2684251
Fire pigs were commonly used throughout the history of the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire but there aren't any surviving photos, remember cameras were much rarer and less mobile back then so it would be incredibly hard to use one in the middle of a battle field.
Let's sharpen our debate skills, /his/. Argue for a position that you'd usually argue against. It'll be a good way to test your skills in both debate and logic.
Hardmode: don't act like a retard
>>2683546
I argue that the Holocaust was the most horrid event in human history and it's a good thing that people are not allowed to question whether it actually happened.
>>2683546
The whole idea is retarded if you think about it. How is it better than just arguing for your position? Plus it'll just lead to stupid meme replies like we can already see.
>>2684342
OP said a position you're usually against. you're missing the point, faggot.
What is the most fucked over nation/country in history?
I'm thinking Poland is a strong contender.
>attacked by Hitler and Stalin at the same time
>had the Gestapo and the NKVD simultaneously operating in their country
>lost 25% of their countries population in 6 years
>take something around two hundred thousand dead to secure independence for their capital for all of six weeks
>get crushed by railway guns and flame tanks
>any resistance who survive get killed by the Soviets as a potential security threat
>after the war, get occupied for half a century and then spat up like a hairball
And that's just one war, the full history of Poland is like a ryona doujin.

What sort of bizarre ancient religious sects and groups still exist today that basically nobody knows about?
Nestorians still exist apparently.
>>2683327
Yarsanism
If you believe what some people have said on the internet, Some people in remote villages still practice Manichaeism but basically have to keep it secret out of fear of reprisal.
>>2683327
Druze, Yazidis, Zoroastrians, Shingon Buddhists, Sufis, Shugendo practitioners.
Nestorians are basically eastern Assyrian Oriental Orthodox without icons or figurines or use of the term 'Theotokos'.
In modern times they have denied the typically conceived Nestorian beliefs and have a different interpretation of Nestorius.
Functionally they wouldn't be incompatible with some ideals of Protestantism while preserving apostolic customs. A traditionally conservative middle ground.

Must you really ask?
>After Napoleon's ultimatum, Doge Ludovico Manin surrendered unconditionally on 12 May 1797, and abdicated himself, while the Major Council declared the end of the republic. According to Bonaparte's orders, the public powers passed to a provisional municipality under the French military governor. On 17 October, France and Austria signed the Treaty of Campo Formio, agreeing the sharing of all the territory of the ancient republic, with a new border just west of the Adige River.
What could Venice have done to prevent this? How would Venetian state influence Italian unification in XIXth century?
>>2683016
Venice was small fry by the 19th century and could probably be described as "Sickman of Europe" akin to Turkey a century later. The only way I see Venice not being annexed is by switching sides and kissing up to whoever is winning. If Venice did survive into the later 1800's during the Risorgimento then it would have probably been taken by Sardinia just like Naples and other parts of Italy.

https://www.theguardian.com/law/2017/apr/18/opening-un-holocaust-files-archive-war-crimes-commission
War crimes files revealing early evidence of Holocaust death camps that was smuggled out of eastern Europe are among tens of thousands of files to be made public for the first time this week.
The archive, along with the UNWCC, was closed in the late 1940s as West Germany was transformed into a pivotal ally at the start of the cold war and use of the records was effectively suppressed. Around the same time, many convicted Nazis were granted early release after the anti-communist US senator Joseph McCarthy lobbied to end war crimes trials.
One affidavit in the files is from a British soldier, Harry Ogden, who was captured at Narvik in Norway in 1940, escaped from a prisoner of war camp to join Polish partisans and was re-imprisoned in another POW camp alongside Auschwitz.
By the late 1940s, the US and British governments were winding down prosecutions of Nazis. President Harry Truman made anti-communism, rather than holding Nazis to account, a priority, Plesch says. “Even action against the perpetrators of the massacre of British RAF officers attempting to escape from prison camp Stalag Luft III, a flight made iconic by films such as The Great Escape, was curtailed.”
protip: one of these files say the holocaust never happened. The /pol/ brigadiers will be disappointed.
>>2682789
none of these files*
>Opening of UN files on Holocaust will 'rewrite chapters of history
Between this and that recent study which showed evidence for a much larger system of camps and detention centers for Jewish people and other 'undesirables,' I have a feeling that the biggest rewrite will be that German people--along with people in Nazi-occupied nations--will no longer be able to claim they "knew nothing."
What went wrong?
Nothing, you shitlord

How do you cope with this feeling?
You have the internet, buckaroo. You can find all the great books for free. Get an e-ink Kindle and download the entire western canon and grind through it. You'll be much better educated and it won't cost you anything but the e-reader.

Because generally people are basic bitches.
"She is against authoritarianism and for individual freedoms!" That is the 1920s way of saying YOLO. These people don't think about the consequences and how totally fucked everything would be if we lived in her ideal world. Her original supporters were just people who really hated communism, now they are mostly people who "hate big gov," despite the federal government being the sole thing keeping this union alive since greedy industries keep crashing our markets and sending jobs away.
Was Britain justified in entering World War 2?
>>2681800
yes they had an alliance with Poland
however this means they should have declared war on the USSR as well
>>2681800
Britains goal for the previous two centuries was to stop any one country from dominating mainland Europe, WW2 was for the same reason. Hitler did not want war with the UK and offered peace numerous times, Britian should have allowed Hitler to do what he wanted with Poland (this is what Britain done anyway) and allow him to invade Russia as much as he likes.
No.
