Yes.

most likely, but the slaughterhouse that happened in NW France in the previous world war moved a lot of public opinion away from allowing this to happen

Is there anything else one could really need for eating? Hell the fork and chopsticks are basically equivalent
Other cultures weren't autistic enough to develop new utensils when God gave us 2 utensils to use naturally.

my great grandfather was possible in it. he left kiev in 22 and then became a drunk miner and sold the kids off to orphanages.
basicaly, the whites couldn't unify because the only real commonality between them was they hated the bolshiviks. some were die hard monarchists, some where reformers, some were libs and some were socialists. and they couldnt really get along because the various leaders of the whites had different motives and shit. it didnt help that the bolshis got the anarchists(they were their own army) on there side long enough to fuck the whites to death in the south.
>>3353271
>my great grandfather
Where did he escape?
Were there any significant engagements during the civil war?
Obviously there was but I can rarely find good articles or reading material that's details a serious battle, most whole I've found mostly evolves around the Allies, the Czech legion and some Urban engagements in Petrograd.
Rarely anything about the tactics of the reds, Battles in Mongolia and the war in the air during the civil war.
Pls help i'll suck your dick.
>After looking at the so-called code for a while, Gibbs realized he was seeing a common form of medieval Latin abbreviations, often used in medical treatises about herbs. "From the herbarium incorporated into the Voynich manuscript, a standard pattern of abbreviations and ligatures emerged from each plant entry," he wrote. "The abbreviations correspond to the standard pattern of words used in the Herbarium Apuleius Platonicus – aq = aqua (water), dq = decoque / decoctio (decoction), con = confundo (mix), ris = radacis / radix (root), s aiij = seminis ana iij (3 grains each), etc." So this wasn't a code at all; it was just shorthand.
>Further study of the herbs and images in the book reminded Gibbs of other Latin medical texts. When he consulted the Trotula and De Balneis Puteolanis, two commonly copied medieval Latin medical books, he realized that a lot of the Voynich Manuscript's text and images had been plagiarized directly from them (they, in turn, were copied in part from ancient Latin texts by Galen, Pliny, and Hippocrates).
>Gibbs concluded that it's likely the Voynich Manuscript was a customized book, possibly created for one person, devoted mostly to women's medicine.

Do you have any podcasts you like that aren't "two dudes hanging out talking shit and cracking jokes lol!"
Preferably more like lectures? Actual recorded lectures made into podcast format so downdloadable via RSS/itunes/etc. (antennaepod) would be great...

Any Africa experts on /his/? I got some questions.
Hi /pol/. Been taking your meds?

I assume you mean subsaharan africa or do you want to start a shitfit about Egypt? I only know tidbits about Mali/Ghana and Dahomey, AKA meme-tier african civs.
I could bullshit you about the bantu migration also, if you'd like.
/his/, you're in the club and this guy slaps your girlfriend's ass and tells you to clean your god damned bedroom, what do you do?

More like daydreamer, had a height complex, is an awful commander (he only became a military pasha because of his palace connections) and get cucked by Soviets.
>>3353093
>is an awful commander (he only became a military pasha because of his palace connections
Nah, he had legit military achievement even before he got involved with the young turks. He managed to mobilize 20.000 arabs and turks during the italian invasion of libya but got recalled back to europe before he can fight the italians because of the balkan wars. Also in the balkan wars he led the army that recaptured adrianople from the bulgarians. He also managed to replenish the ottoman forces enough after the shitshow that was the balkan wars enough for the ottomans to put up a fight in ww1
Hes decent enough logistics commander, but he went full retard somewhere in the middle of ww1 for some reason
Persia:
>Civilized country
>Trade of material and knowledge from all over the world
>Were much more humane to slaves than many other countries and empires at the time
Sparta:
>nigger-tier civilization
>literally practiced eugenics
>literally fucked little boys
>less humane to slaves
I am not accusing people of historic revisionism or anything, but is there any reason Spartan can be seen as the good guys in the war?
(I would also like to add that I am not Middle Eastern or Balkan, so I really have no horse in this race)
>>3353001
The movie as based on a comic. Now, how did the guy who wrote the comic get that idea?
If you read "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" you will find lots of "the effeminate persians who had lots of luxuries, cared only about cool shit so they did battles in weird ways unlike the stern, manly greeks". This shit is also said by the arabs in many Hadith books.
>Do not become like the persians who only care about luxury
So there you go.
>but is there any reason Spartan can be seen as the good guys in the war?
Because muh clash of civilizations.
>>3353001
persians were also whiter than spartans
my ancestors :)
>>3353001
you could make some convoluted argument about the philosophical/political foundations for modern western civilization being based in a graeco-roman history that is dependent on Greeks not being conquered, but even that would be a stretch given how much of Hellenic culture was directly influenced by Persians.
so in a word, maybe?

Crete, Cyrene can go it's own way. My policies would be to import fast-growing pines from Sweden and establish a huge navy, both so my island can prosper thru trade, and so it can avoid annexation by outsiders. Also, guns. Government would feature democratic, oligarchic, and aristocratic elements, geared towards making people identify with the state and its prosperity by giving them all a stake in it.
I'm tying to think of the narrowest dichotomy between atheism and theism from an ontological perspective--here is what I have.
Theism of all varieties possesses an architect (i.e. God, however liberally defined) that both predate(s)/(ed) reality and created a means for it to come into being. Humans have applied meaning to this creation event, but God's existence does not depend on this meaning.
Atheism does not possess any architect. The emergence of reality is considered spontaneous, meaningless, and most importantly unbound by prior conditions. I.e. there is no reason why this reality had to happen rather than one where everything is made out of cotton candy.
I would love to here critiques and opinions.
whats a narrow dichotomy
>>3352581
Works for me.
>>3352581
God = Creator
Theists = There is a Creator
Atheists = There is no Creator
