Not an expert on this subject but I don't think Wallachia was truly a sovereign state in the same way most modern nations are. It was a vassal state of the Ottomans for most of its history, although Vlad "the Impaler" defied them and ran the country as a de facto independent state (which is why he's well liked by some Romanians today despite his brutality).

You could also argue that modern day Romania is the successor of Wallachia but this is a bit of a stretch imo
