Be a bit more specific about what's specific aspect is so WTF and we can give you better information.

But yea, there was a lot to WTF about in that war. Enough so that the French would invent the world Revanchism to describe how WTF'd they were.
>>
>Germans baited the French into a war, while hiding it from them that they'd lined their entire army on the border, and Napoleon III hastily declares war without bringing his armies to the border
>French logically get curb-stomped in 5-to-1 ratio battles, in which they are culled back to Sedan where the emperor is captured
>French state enters utter civil war with Bonapartists figthing Republicans across the countryside, while forgetting to address the German problem
>Germans can't even enter Paris and wresttle it away from French syndicalists that have risen up, and have to be happy with Versailles as a consolation prize
That's the gist of it basically.

A French emperor better at peace than at war.

Are Russians closer to Finnish people than Slavs?
Should they glorify their Eurasian Ugric heritage instead?

Finns without recent swedish ancestry look pretty damn Slavic too me. Check out that couple with the pneumatic press channel on YouTube.
>>
Where exactly can the purest Slavs be found? Obviously Slavic is only a linguistic group like Arabic but actual arabs exist on the Arabian peninsula.

What was Carolus endgame? Besides the obvious, ruling the north/Scandinavia where else did he have his dreams? Conquer Russia? Lithuania? Germany? What was he striving for?

He lived for the war, he didn't ever want to cool down. He wouldn't take a queen, he said he was "Married to the army". That's why experts think he was probably shot by one of his own men, a conspirator who wanted to end the constant warfare.

So we all agree history is about predestination, right?

WWII was inevitable because of the economical and ideological crisis
Spanish empire was inevitably going to fall because of the huge income of gold and lack of economical thinking of the time
French revolution was inevitable consequence of absolutistic tendencies of French monarchs
etc.

When all the memes are put aside, we all agree that history is a series of causes and consequences right? I mean, thats why we study it, so we could learn from the past.

And if thats true, then we could (/should) be able to predict what will happen in the future up to a certain extent.

So my question is, what is your guess on the near future of the world /his/torians?

rude...
>>
calling it predestination is too far but yes causes and consequences, however we cannot determine the human variable, the source of the action

the near future is nothing fancy, things will go as now for a while and the consequence will be a migration of epic propositions we havent seen before, possibly ending up in a war that will destory civilization as we know it

unless we start colonizing space
>>
I would tell you what will happen, but then I'd be told to go back to /pol/.

Richard III was based.
Accounts note that King Richard fought bravely and ably during this manoeuvre, unhorsing Sir John Cheyne, a well-known jousting champion, killing Henry's standard bearer Sir William Brandon and coming within a sword's length of Henry Tudor before being surrounded by Sir William Stanley's men and killed. The Burgundian chronicler Jean Molinet says that a Welshman struck the death-blow with a halberd while Richard's horse was stuck in the marshy ground. It was said that the blows were so violent that the king's helmet was driven into his skull. The contemporary Welsh poet Guto'r Glyn implies a leading Welsh Lancastrian Rhys ap Thomas, or one of his men, killed the king, writing that he "killed the boar, shaved his head".The identification in 2013 of King Richard's body shows that the skeleton had 11 wounds, eight of them to the skull, clearly inflicted in battle and suggesting he had lost his helmet. Professor Guy Rutty, from the University of Leicester, said: "The most likely injuries to have caused the king's death are the two to the inferior aspect of the skull—a large sharp force trauma possibly from a sword or staff weapon, such as a halberd or bill, and a penetrating injury from the tip of an edged weapon."The skull showed that a blade had hacked away part of the rear of the skull. Richard III was the last English king to be killed in battle.

Dear Christians,
There is something i dont understand so plz explain.

Adam and eve didnt have any sins before they ate the apple.
When they were offered an apple, they ate it WHICH IS A SIN.
But how did they commit a sinful act when they didnt have any sins???

I don't really understand what you're talking about here. My entire knowledge of the bible comes from a unit in the 10th grade where we read the bible as literature, but im pretty sure its a sin because they did something god specifically told them not to do.

Kind of a moot point in my opinion. If you're going to do that then you might as well blame Charlemagne for being a dipshit with his succession.
France should be blamed for their part in the treaty of Versailles though.
