I like this thread. I hope someone can answer my simple question: Is there any way to get behind a dlsite paywall? Is there a database that hosts torrents that I don't know about? I try and hit up sukebei.nyaa for my exploits but 9/10 times the work I'm after isn't on the site.
Thanks in advance.
I wish there was an easier way to import images from a booru on your browser into hydrus.
My current method is to find the image I want, get it's md5, then add md5:<hash> to the downloader in hydrus.
I wonder if I could modify one of those extensions that download from a booru to interact with Hydrus?
Light Yagami is still kicking. And guess what he uploads from Shinigami World
Is there anyway to get around 403 errors with e-hentai grabber or can I just go fuck myself?
how the fuck does pandaviewer work? I'd input folders with .zip/.rar/etc or even folders with unzipped doujinshi and it will always have that bullshit "Couldn't find any galleries".
Readme and main github site doesn't have shit on how to start.
You can also just open up console on a browser of your choice (firefox: CTRL+SHIFT+K or chrome: CTRL+SHIFT+J) and just type:
to get those values. (While on an exhentai page, of course.)
i have a question, and the first place i thought of was here, where all of you are deep enough in this 2d world to go with an organization method for H, the question is:
The C89, C88, C87 at the beginning of the mangas, what does it mean? i thought it represented the comiket in which was released on, but im not sure since the next comiket is going to be the 89 and there are already "C89" mangas out there, hope you can help me with this silly question
For Pandaviewer. What does this do?
The current ExDB can be downloaded here. Please place it in the same folder as PandaViewer (with the EXE). Note that PandaViewer will still try to get galleries from EX if they couldn't be found in the database.
Yo newfag here. I mostly just mess around on danbooru for single images and e.hentai for doujins. I'm fucking retarded when it comes to computers, let alone what to fucking do here. I'm just a dude who wants to catalog his pornographic animoos seeing that fakku and pururin are just straight up bullshit now and was considering doing just the free membership for doujin-moe. Is there another free website like them or does this thing actually fucking work? If so, where the hell do I start?
all of a sudden this useless fucking firefox xhentai easy v2 stops doing its fucking job
no matter how many times i legitimately log onto g.ehentai or the forums on my fucking android phone i get fucking "login failure" over and over again on the exhentai login screen
Jesus fucking christ
I'm using ccd0 4chanX, Noscript, Ublock Origin, X-links. I've disabled Noscript and Ublock and still get this
i was browsing front page shit and came across a doujin of a mom walking through a park and ends up getting raped so she goes back the next night dressed slutty hoping to get raped again which inevitably she does. im looking for anything like that where they get raped and end up liking it going back for more "voluntarily", anyone know of anything else like this?? preferably english, i knew what was happening in the nihongo but yea
I'd say nhentai. They get stuff from exhentai and they do have a lot of content. Their download system is amazing. Its torrents and its always quite quick. For exhentai, you pretty much always have to check if the doujins have seeds for the torrent but for nhentai. It always works.
If you've already got a folder system then it's not too bad. I spend about a day importing my huge folders of images into hydrus. You just do it a few folders at a time, use regexes to tag things by filename/location, and make sure to only tag those things which matter to you.
It's probably similar for doujin organization. A large initial time investment, but a really nice setup when complete.
It didn't work at all for me when I tried to download something that was a year or two old. There is a program in the OP that lets you download nhentai doujins by inputting a link to them though.
And you don't need torrents for exhentai when you have ez downloader.
>Finally decide to start saving hentai
>Find out that Topsy, the seemingly only Twitter archive, shut down 10 days ago
TEN DAYS AGO. IF I HAD JUST GOTTEN INTO HENTAI COLLECTING 2 WEEKS SOONER, I'D HAVE A 100% COMPLETE COLLECTION OF ALL MY FAVORITE ARTISTS' WORK.
What makes it worse is that I once Googled "view deleted Tweets" but somehow none of the results mention Topsy, so I didn't learn about it.
And I can't believe that there was a Twitter archive at all. I don't understand how that is even legal, since it was owned by Apple and not Twitter.
Twitpic is still up and I see all these great looking unfinished works. Ahhh there could be finished versions of them that they posted on Twitter and nowhere else. I'll never even know if they have finished versions now. It hurts. It hurts so bad...
Fuck my LIFE. FUCK IT!
Err, I guess its legality is consistent, since things like archive.org exist and are popular.
I'm surprised that Twitter wasn't willing/able to do anything about it I suppose. Though I know nothing about the coding in this kind of stuff.
Apple still probably has the archives. I should get a job there to get access to the deleted porn. Just kidding...
For happypanda, how can we save our favorites for a new install?
I have just extract the 0.26 version, and then I put the 'db' directory from the 0.25 in order to save my favorites but that didn't work.
does anyone have a duplicate file search for pics, webms, etc?
>>Any magnet or something for the new fakku stuff?
>>It comes in batches. Wait a few months.
Where can I find the previous ones?
I know I have been missing out on some really good doujins that are behind Fakkus paywall.
okay, I need help, but bear with me, I'm a newfag who doesn't really have much knowledge about software and computers in general, and what I want to do is manage the collection of my hentai folders and pics, and my question is, which collection management software from these 3 that suits my need ?
Hydrus for images(and I think it does some videos too). Happy Panda for doujins. If you aren't the least bit good with computers my advice is to be patient with either of these programs and play around with the setting and read the tutorals enough until you got the hang of them(try practicing with only a few of your collection before doing the whole thing).
You can't only do exclusions on e-hentai. You'd have to use a different site or an offline application. You have to use some other search term as well. The best you can do is highlight yaoi and hide it.
Not directly related, but this is the closest to a hentai tech support forum, anyone know how to get the galleries on exhentai to show thumbnails instead of a box with the URL in it? I don't seem to remember this being a problem before, but now I can't get them back.
>Install Happypanda as it seems the perfect solution I've been looking for
>doesn't supports rar files, aka half of my exhentai downloads
I didn't write the program, but I'm pretty sure it works like regular zips (which most likely also get temporarily extracted to get covers and hashes). That being said, I use PandaViewer since Happypanda seems to have some other issues which I've forgotten about so I don't know much about it.
Hey guys, new person here. I need to know how to make Happypanda open my doujins through one of the gallery viewers you guys suggested (it's MangaMeeya). I just want to be able to pick my doujin from Happypanda, be able to view in a correct scale(I don't want to have zoom in and out so I can read the text) and start fapping. Any help?
Open up the settings and in the first page, there should be something along the lines of external viewer. Just supply the file location on your drive of MangaMeeya.exe and it should open it up with it.
You can't "directly" read data from a rar, just like you can't "directly" read data from a zip. In order to turn compressed data into uncompressed data, some code somewhere has to perform a decompression algorithm, both for zip and rar. Zip's algorithm is short enough, old enough, and unencumbered enough that the program either includes the code itself, or is confident enough to require the operating system to provide a library for it. Neither of those approaches work, in general, for rars, so they've made support optional. You're not going to see any performance loss or superfluous space overhead, because there isn't any other way to do this.
Holy shit, I love this program. All of my terrible file organization is finally justified.
Is there any way to increase or decrease the cover size on this screen? Is there also anyway to have it display some of the title?
Excuse my idiocy but I've tried a lot of things and I still have questions about HappyPanda:
1. How do you update without wiping everything? Tried pasting it over the existing folder but that didn't turn out so great for the metadata.
2. I tried using 0.26 on a fresh set of files but it can't populate from directory - it probably adds 20/300 and claims the rest can't be read. Sticking with 0.25 for now.
3. And does anyone else have this issue with cover pages not displaying? Nothing in the github about it.
Problem with MangaMeeya, it's not reading some of my doujins. It keeps saying " File has been moved or deleted", I don't feel like fucking with MangaMeeya any other readers? I need something with a simple/eady to look at interface. While not being heavy on my computer. I've read the pastebin aswell.
You've got to make sure they all have the same set of tags. If one image has the artist tag and the rest don't, when you group by title or whatever they'll be out of order.
Is that your problem?
Not necessarily, more fundamental. Like, am I supposed to tag each file with a certain specific thing to tell the program they are supposed to be grouped, or go through and number every page or something? I don't really get how it works.
>Like, am I supposed to tag each file with a certain specific thing to tell the program they are supposed to be grouped
Yeah, pretty much. Here's an example with one of the few doujins I have in Hydrus.
All the images in that doujin have the tag "title:end of location" so when you choose to collect by title, they'll be grouped into that collection. The only other image with the "Silent Hill" tag I have doesn't have a tag with a "title" namespace, so it's places into another collection.
You can use other namespaces too, like creator or series (and I bet there's even a way to add custom namespaces, if you wanted).
For doujins/comics you want to read in order, make sure to assign them each the correct "page:" tag, along with the other tip, and just sort your search by one of the ones including page number.
I was thinking of trying Happypanda for more features over PV. What is the difference between adding galleries and populating from archive/directory?
Also, is there a tag database available for Happypanda in a similar way as Pandaviewer does? I'm not very keen on leaving automated tag gathering running for all of my 2000+ galleries in fear of getting banned.
>Set settings to torrent
>Install Copy URLs expert
>Open all galleries you want downloaded
>Make sure nothing else is open
>Use copy URLs expert
>Paste all URLs in to happypanda download tool
>Downloads all for you
i have a similar sized collection, which was organized by artists and a big unsorted folder. What i did was to add a few folders at a time, and delete dupes and shit while hp read the tags. Also HP has a limiter for that, double the wait time and it will look like extensive surfing to sadpanda.
i use visipics for my image folders, pretty nice program.
For doujins, i use visipics on happypandas thumbnails folder. Although you have to regenerate them from scratch before, as happypanda sometimes creates duplicate thumbs for some reason.
The free version only detects duplicate images and not similar images, which I assume you were using the former. The main benefits though are the UI and automation capabilities as well as the manual filter selection.
What exactly is this program? I've got a tank collection bordering 700 books all sorted by artist. Will this DL images for me or something? Is it like PerfectViewer for Windows?
What the fuck is with Happypanda losing tags? Might as well not use the whole program if it fucks up its purpose this badly. Do I have to start backing up happypanda.db every fucking time I close it down?
Pic related, count was 900+ just a while ago.
Hydrus is more for loose single images, literally like a local booru. You can use it for sorting doujins and comics, but it's a bit of a hassle and I wouldn't recommend it.
The other two are more specifically for comics. I use happypanda for that, mainly because I prefer keeping it in a single folder. I might try Pandaviewer later, though.
In my opinion, the best setup is Hydrus + one of the other two.
That is correct that that there aren't any direct links to getting Fakku stuff on the spreadsheet.
This was a voluntary* choice on my part.
That doesn't mean the information to do so isn't provided though. Want info? Check the info sheet.
*it would be too much of a bother to do otherwise.
seconding this. apparently happypanda just unzips the archive to its temp folder, and forces the viewer to read the first image.
CDisplay fails at that, unless there is some option for it to read loose files in row, you must switch to a program that can, or tediously go to archive folder and open the archive with CDisplay yourself.
Or happypanda developers can just add an option to directly link the archive to an external reader, which would solve the problem.
You can use regexes to tag imports by filename/filepath. If you give your files good filenames, then you can use those, or just their locations in folders.
> and that gave me series and character tags for most of my images, but no other tags.
Did you remember to check other namespaces? In particular, you probably want the "no namespace" namespace.
for some reason even if that box is unchecked happypanda will still extract rars to the temp folder making it so they don't work with CDisplay still works with zip files for some reason though
I have some hentai videos from a couple years ago that are fansubbed by SubDesu-H. Just tried to see what new releases they had and all i could find was a subdesu-h.net site that looks like is a paid membership streaming thing? What happened? What's a current group that does similar fansubbing releases?
that's probably related to the fact that you appoint a .rar reader seperately, i assume happypanda checks that before your your comic readers exe.
I don't think that's intended functionality, if you report it as a bug, they would fix it. Also, try removing the link to unrar.exe. If i'm guessing right, happypanda should jump to your reader.
i just tried it myself, removing link to unrar exe doesnt work, it just makes the file unopenable altogether. Still should be fixable.
i tried this with CDisplayEx. it works when the zip file doesn't have any subfolders. But if it has one, happypanda extracts the contents into temp folder regardless, instead of directly feeding the archive to the reader, which causes CDisplay to fail.
I haven't used Hydrusnetwork for months
does it still fail to import jpg once in a while and does it still fuck up my folders? it's a pretty good piece of software but i'm not keen on having my shit imported to a different folder.
>does it still fail to import jpg once in a while
that's never happened to me, so I'm guessing not.
>does it still fuck up my folders?
You can choose what it does with files it imports. It's always going to make a copy of the file in the hydrus folder, that's just how the program works and it's never going to change, but it only deletes the original if you choose so in the settings.
Just to add that I found the option to export/import database in the new version I downloaded (0.27) so I guess it's a feature that was introduced after 0.25. Does anyone know of a way to manually rip the database of tags out of the application? Not sure if I want to bother updating at all if I can't use my old tags.
Ah. You might only have control over imported files when done through import folders (pic related), and not through normal importing. Something you might want to suggest to the dev over on the 8ch board.
>even if it does copy through settings, i'd just prefer monitoring
Understandable, but that's just how Hydrus works. It assumes that you're only going to access the files through Hydrus itself, so it moves them to its own folder structure. This makes the entire thing much more portable and less of a headache to maintain. On the downside of course, you always have to open hydrus to find anything.
It's a bit annoying, but the power of tagging more than makes up for it, in my opinion.
So...is Sad Panda supposed to have HTTPS encryption?
I don't understand what you're trying to do.
If you want to update while retaining your data, do this:
1. Assuming your on 0.25, go download 0.26 and then extract it to your current happypanda folder, overwriting it.
2. Run Happypanda because, as read on the download page, it'll need to update your galleries to the that version.
Repeat the same steps for version 0.27.
Generally, you should always keep yourself updated because of the drastic changes in each version. And to update, you just overwrite your previous installation.
For anymore questions, ask the dev on Github or gitter. He's really helpful.
is this not working for anyone else? i been trying and it's a no go
People have posted combinations of stuff to download easily in threads that were deleted.
There may or may not be another download available as there was already for tsumino but was taken down.
The newly released version of Happypanda with all of its new features and redesign is decisively better than PandaViewer at this time. PandaViewer has not been updated in several months while Happypanda continues to be updated and improved steadily.
anyone know if HP has the option to remove all the galleries without source (like folders that I moved or deleted)
I recently reorganised my stuff and going through all of them and deleting the old gallery entries is a pain in the ass.
it also doenst help that HP keeps freezing most of the time when trying to remove a gallery
Have you read the documentation on the site?
If not, please do so.
If you have and still have questions, then you may reply that you do.
Ok so I just updated Happypanda and now all of my images for the covers are being said that they are too big
"Image is too big!" to display.
The update is great and all but this is retarded, any help? Has anyone else experienced this since the update?
Is there any way to force hydrus to start with no tabs open outside of the program? Every time I start hydrus it stalls trying to load all of the images. (I tried looking for an options or preferences inside the hydrus directory and came up with nothing.)
that's weird, my hydrus starts with just an empty tab, not searching or loading anything.
Try installing a fresh installation of hydrus somewhere else temporarily, and import a few images. See if that one does the same thing. If it doesn't, see what's different between the settings.
How to get past Sadpanda
Refer to the image in this post.
Has there been a fakku dump since November?
For the past week for so I've been looking for a doujin manga I read a few years ago. And for the life of me I can't remember the name.
I recall it was about an artist who got into all sorts of sexual misadventures, and then wrote his manga about them, but no one believed him.
At one point he gets bribed to work at some big, fancy company and leaves the nice little one he works at, but he gets all cocky and arrogant about his work, which now sucks because hes an ass hole. So the big fancy company fires him and he jumps off a cliff out of depression, but he lives and his old company takes him back and then his art is good again.
The girls are, if my memory serves me right, big boobed, quick to jump in the sack with a guy they just met. I remember a lot of threesomes.
The MC was a pretty simple guy. Kind of a loser. There wasn't anything very distinguishing about him, to be honest. Just another run of the mill Harem doujin protag.
but like I said, he was an artist. He drew doujin... within the Doujin.
Bare with me, this was years ago.
But, off the top of my head, I think this the girls would fall under 'big boobs'. And there were different girls each chapter. And I guess the guy would be 'big dick' ? Like I said, he was really generic.
general theme tags would be 'threesome' 'harem' and 'Ahegao'
>Is there a 'best' tag pool to subscribe to?
The main public repo maintained by the dev is probably the best. I'm not actually aware of any others, actually.
>I downloaded a 1.5GB database but it's old and only caught like 30 images. Any advice?
Check the /hydrus/ board on 8ch (there should be a link from hydrus' help menu). there's a thread with newer databases
When Pururin was still around IMO it was the best doujin site because of how much it uploaded and how in depth its tags were.
Now that it's pretty much dead is there any other site that's comparable?
I have been collecting lots of manga and doujinshi from ex but those software and scripts are new and interesting to me. I renamed most of the collected files for convenience in organizing. Does that mean those three management software can't be any help in downloading metadata?
What do you guys use to get smooth scrolling on sadpanda's multipage-view? My 'SmoothScroll' browser extension doesn't work with mpv.
Can someone explain the 777 subscription limit on Pixiv to me? What happens when I'm at this limit and watch new artists, do some of my old ones get deleted? Also any idea why there's such an arbitrary limit? Are they trying to force people into premium memberships?
You made me check again and now it works, it updated to reflect the correct amount. Pixiv must have been having an aneurysm or something. lol, thanks. Makes sense why no one responded in other threads, they though I was trolling or retarded.
A late reply, but for tablet android users, I would recommend perfect viewer. It has native rar/zip support along with normal folders. It even has a startup password if you are paranoid and auto color if you donate (it works OK in some instances)
I sync stuff from the PC using shared folders on windows 7. Although if you have a large library, the app can take up to an hour or two building the thumbnails for your library depending on your tablet
If anyone else has a better set-up for synching files to tablets, I'd like to hear ideas.
This guy again.
So it looks like hydrus started applying tags to my images. I don't know if they're from the hydrus repository or gelbooru. Either way, I got to about 25k mixed imported files (boorus, internet shite and various actual photo albums and now bam. The whole thing is slow as butts. I don't know if it's because of the imported tags or what but where it was fine one day and useless the next has me feeling something is wrong. Any more experienced users able to assist?
Yeah, apparently connecting to the PTR does cause a bit of slowdown. I'm at about 30k pics myself, and it does get laggy at times. I've been considering moving the program to my SSD while keeping the pics on HDD and seeing if that changes anything.
If you open up the helpfile, there should be a page on reducing lag, give that a read through.
Thanks, I looked at help when i first jumped n board but it was a bit much for getting started. For the sake of anyone else who might experience this: I removed the hydrus repository and then went to do a search with 'local tags'. the moment I set that memory usage rocketed to a gigabyte. I'm assuming that all the hydrus tags are being removed, and I'll be able to work on my collection more easily and re-sub to the repo later. more at eleven.
Basically, the issue is that the public repo has grown to be insanely fuckhuge and the code doesn't scale well to its size yet. Luckily, the dev is aware of this problem, but it'll be a while before we get any kind of fix.
I've added some fakku links to the gallery search, mostly what's available publicly. It can also be accessed as JSON:
Well Fakku tags are quite a bit different then e-h/ex especially since there is no namespace for gender. This will make it pretty hard to automate, some tags can just be removed all-together and others converted however the rest will require manual labor.
Ashikoki (Should really be converted but I'm not sure if only one tag will suffice).
Slice of Life
Bakunyuu > female:large_breasts AND female:huge_breasts
Color > misc:full_color or removed if it's only partial
Chubby > female:bbw or male:bbm
Hentai > Transfer to category / remove
Housewife > female:milf
Non-H > Transfer to category / remove
Kemonomimi > female:bunny_girl or male:bunny_boy
Oppai > female:large_breasts
Oral > female:blowjob or male:blowjob
Office_Lady > female:business suit
Pettanko > female:small_breasts (However should NOT be used when female:lolicon or female:toddlercon tag is present).
But the real pain is going to be working out all those namespaces, I just don't think it's really going to be possible.
I am still working on the tags expect a new paste soon.
Well i kinda messed up and totally missed that schoolgirl should be converted to female:schoolgirl_uniform (only if they are wearing it obviously)
Just added a couple more to the paste and fixed the error.
Time for bed now
One more post until the bump limit. Seems a lot more threads on being created on /h/ now currently so this thread will probably be bumped off in a few days rather than a week or so.
I'm taking suggestions for the next OP now.
It seems that people prefer the pubhtml version of the spreadsheets, so I've been linking that, but do tell me if I'm wrong.
published version: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uJzgJBGuY5Jv0xcaPwGD8lAlYueu0Z6Q4HWdy1BDDDg/pubhtml
edit version: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uJzgJBGuY5Jv0xcaPwGD8lAlYueu0Z6Q4HWdy1BDDDg
I'll a bit of slight renaming of stuff.
H-doujin downloader seems to be a doing a lot more now. I considered adding it before, but the full version is commercial software, so I don't know.
Anything else that should be added or subtracted to/from the OP?
Who's the owner/dev of that ugoira ripping site that rips animated ugoira(what the fuck is a ugoira anyway) files from pixiv and how do I get in contact with him? That site hasn't been working for awhile now.
You're probably doing something wrong not covered by the chart.
It's also only a basic chart.
It doesn't cover ever possible problem.
I might make something like that at some point, but it seems unlikely to happen.
How do I hide galleries with ExVisited?
Use [TS] Pixiv++ to make Pixiv more easyer to browse. Load of features, it's kind of like the 4chanX of Pixiv scripts. Check out some of the other scripts by [TS] as well, I've never tried them but they sound pretty usefull.
This one isn't in the Hentai Resources but Pixiv Translation Plus is another god tier script. https://sleazyfork.org/en/scripts/1601-pixiv-translation-plus It translates all the tags on not just Pixiv but nijie.info and nicovideo too. You can even make custom tags if needed and import/export them to a collaborative database site here http://codeanimu.net/random/archive/db/ptp_db/
The biggest problem though is the collaborative database site hasn't been updated in years. I think I'm still the only one still uploading my tags to the database. So when you install the script be sure to download the Unfiltered tags and import them into your script for a more up to date list of tags.
It would be nice if more people or someone could fork the database site so we can start having a much more translated list of Pixiv tags again.
is this pastebin link is still working? because I always got an error everytime I try to enter "document.getElementsByTagName('canvas').toDataURL()" in the console
Can I use pandaviewer or happypanda to actually sort my collection, or does it only add tags and displays it like it was organised based on filenames and panda database info?
My files and folders are a mess, I would like to sort them into folders (for example by artist), remove duplicates(also a zip and unpacked folder pairs).
I think it's generally better to use extra software to get a database and organize that, compared to trying to organize files in a folder structure. Just put everything in one folder basically.
And I think I saw a remove duplicates option in happypanda, but I have no idea if that actually works, and how it works.
