Has anyone ever posted an original (or at least good copy) of FF DIN?

I know somebody just posted MEGA link with a bunch of DINs, but it's still not the Fontshop release of DIN with everything in it. Every DIN link I see has really fucked up meta tags.

There's that one guy who always swoops in and posts complete FF original sets. Maybe he will see this and have sympathy for my plea.

Since more than two weeks, this file has been downloaded more than 180 times and no one complained about being attacked by some kind of virus.

Worried about that issue anyway and willing to clear your allegations, I did run Bit Defender on my files, as you can see here : https://vimeo.com/153691520 Needless to say that the virus(-es) plaguing your computer is not related to my shares and you should investigate further.

Now with regards to the size and authenticity, I admit I was wrong, indeed the fonts I shared earlier are not 100% originals, but they're quite decent nonetheless: all the glyphs are there, and you'd be quite hard pressed to tell the difference between the two versions pictured here (one is the real deal but in v. 0.820, the other is "mine").

Well, I think the version I posted earlier was either a rip either a OTF conversion of the original, at least I tried to help our fellow instead of crying wolf for no good reason.

Well compared to what one should get (see post #254977) :
▪︎ this "free" version has 371 glyphs (one should get more than "370 glyphs" according to the "ad"), so all the alternates are there (they don't come out of limbo, they're glyphs too)
▪︎ as you can see in the attached screenshot, all the OT features advertised above are there : salt, calt, liga, titl, ss01-04 and swashes.
▪︎ there's something like 58k kerning pairs

It certainly looks like a pretty decent version for me. So can you kindly elaborate on the actual difference between the free and retail version please ?

It's a specially designed typeface made by fontworks. I think both of the Ronin typefaces are extremely similar (as they're also from fontworks and have been used by Sony for some time now). Akzidenz Grotesk Light is also extremely similar, maybe less so than Ronin.

You won't be able to get the exact typeface without ripping it from the game, though, and I have no idea how to do that or if it's even feasible to get a complete set of OTFs that way. Most video games forgo common typeface formats like OTF and TTF for formats that cooperate better with game engines.
