What is the best Programming Font?
And why is it Courier New?
fucking virgin wannabe r9k kid. How people there cannot get laid with all the whores on that board wanting to meet still amazes me.
Thread officially derailed.
Cucksolas isn't that bad I guess, but if you're implying that Lucida Cucksole is one of the best programming language than you're straight up lying to yourself. How can you sleep at night?

Before Consolas, I used Terminal.
I also like Terminal more than Consolas, but it can look silly sometimes.
Take that statement as you wish.
I like the Lowercase a. Commas, periods, zeros all distinct.
Inconsolata, best for coding, best for terminal and free.

size 8 is minimum comfortable font size at 1.2 ft from the screen ( http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_display_board_fonts.shtml ) Most people prefer text to be 10, 11, or 12 points at this distance.
with the same scale size 4 would be minimum comfortable at about 7 inches from the screen. Many people like to sit closer to the screen than 7 inches, but if you sit 3-4 inches from the screen size 4 would be a comfortable size. no need to have it size 1. It's often not possible to choose anything below 8 by default anyway.

I've been using this for a while
Most of the font posted here are pretty bad for coding. The easy test is to look at the l (lowercase L), 1 (the number) and I (uppercase i). If they look too similar, well, that's a shitty programming font, objectively speaking. Not that it won't work, but that it won't be as great as it could be.
these are the only ones that could eventually say that they are "programming" fonts
obviously it should be free. How else am i supposed to buy all my anime memorabilia and body pillows and flesh lights if I have to keep paying 60 fucking bucks for a game? Use some semblance of logic here, please anon.
It's a mix I made of Fantasque Sans Mono for single width characters and Migu 1M for the rest (CJK, symbols, etc.).
Just get Fantasque Sans Mono.
Sublime Text 2, I got the license from my very good friend Andrew Weber.
I'm also using gdipp for the actual font rendering.
I have some sublime questions you might be able to help with, hope you don't mind
If I buy a license do I get sublime 2+ i.e I could also use it on 3, also is there pc limits I mean if I have it on 5 pcs can only 2 use it at the same time or something? also how long have you been using it and would you recommend?
Yes and as long as you're the user you can use it on as many computers as you wish. I don't think the developers are going to come and check if you're the guy currently on the computer though.
I haven't bought my copy though, Anon.
I've been using it for around 2 years now and it's pretty cool, it's become my daily driver at home and at work. It has many add-ons available and a package downloader/manager for these.
Had been using Notepad++ for quick editing until then.
I still have emacs installed and use it from time to time.
