with the same scale size 4 would be minimum comfortable at about 7 inches from the screen. Many people like to sit closer to the screen than 7 inches, but if you sit 3-4 inches from the screen size 4 would be a comfortable size. no need to have it size 1. It's often not possible to choose anything below 8 by default anyway.

I've been using this for a while

Most of the font posted here are pretty bad for coding. The easy test is to look at the l (lowercase L), 1 (the number) and I (uppercase i). If they look too similar, well, that's a shitty programming font, objectively speaking. Not that it won't work, but that it won't be as great as it could be.

Yes and as long as you're the user you can use it on as many computers as you wish. I don't think the developers are going to come and check if you're the guy currently on the computer though.

I've been using it for around 2 years now and it's pretty cool, it's become my daily driver at home and at work. It has many add-ons available and a package downloader/manager for these.

Had been using Notepad++ for quick editing until then.
I still have emacs installed and use it from time to time.
