>Join girls across the country. Code a heart and share a message of love.
Looks like the feminazis took over Google.
Never mind trying to teach boys how to code, let's focus on the girls!
Welcome to the world of node js
I like these movements.
They are beginning to get girls into it, or breaking the social stigma for little girls that only boys do computer stuff.
The projects are almost universally shit, but if it creates more diversity in my workforce, I'm fine with it.
Why do you all feel so threatened about girls coding baby projects?
Anyways, this is /g/, so I don't expect much.
>What can you do with code?
>make thew next hit film
>design the next trend in fashion
Women are useless programmers.
Because their goal isn't to teach girls to do basic coding stuff, but to replace you or your coworker in the industry just because you have penis. Guess who will do all the work with half of the company able to only write their hello worlds.
>white knight detected
>never going to get laid by them
Because every team consists of only coders right?
Half of the spec team is actually female in our company, even in the QA team are a few women.
So unless you're a sysadmin vegetating in a server room, you probably will have to work with woman either way.
> I like looking at men more than looking at women
> I want to spend 8 hours of my day, 5 days a week for the rest of my life looking at men instead of women
> Anyone who disagrees is Reddit
I'd much rather have some competent people that will do their work instead of "qt coworkers" that will be chit-chatting every day for 8 hours and I will be doing their work for them in my free time.
Calm down. No programmer started out making successful commercial software. Besides, many open-source communities are about emotion and feelings. Why do you think Debian's creator named the operating system after him and his girlfriend at the time?
Calm down. No one's forcing girls to do anything.
Calm down. Google has no way of knowing the skin colors of the girls coding hearts.
Calm down. There are always better ways of conveying the concept behind `kill` and `suicide`, and `master` and `worker`. Especially for non-English-speaking programmers.
Calm down. These projects are entertaining and useful to people. Certainly no worse than video games companies altogether spend billions to make and market.
Calm down. No software company lasts long if it wastes money hiring unskilled programmers. If your company replaces you with an unskilled programmer, either you were worse than the new hire, or the company won't be around much longer.
Calm down. Judaism has nothing to do with programming.
Calm down. The time you waste flaming strangers could be spent learning a new programming skill.
Calm down. A Tumblr post does not represent reality. In fact, many Tumblr posts are inaccurate, as most 4chan posters can tell you.
Calm down. Many female programmers are competent. Some are competent and cute. You may find this out one day when you work with a woman programmer instead of fantasizing about it online.
>Why do you think Debian's creator named the operating system after him and his girlfriend at the time?
Because he was a beta white knight faggot who couldn't take the bantz and an hero'd.
A white knight so butthurt took the time to write all this.
It's good you know that software can be based on emotion.
Debian is not alone.
Facebook's origins come from its creator being mad over his ex-girlfriend.
GNU started because its creator was mad about software being restrained by companies, instead of being more open-source. Same goes for GPL projects.
And look at the board on which you're posting. Most posts on /g/ are driven by anger and feelings related to it.
Before you act on your feelings and post about how mad you are that Google is inserting emotion into programming, consider how emotional most male programmers actually are.
There is no need for hypocrisy
I'm not mad that many posters in this thread act on emotion. Though they are programmers, they are still human.
Posters in this thread fail to address the points made in my previous posts. This makes me hopeful they realize on some level that female programmers are not a threat to them or the industry.
Or at least the people who read my posts will realize this.
If you have proof Google knows the skin color of these girls, post it. You would be doing the world a great service by exposing an extremely unethical practice by one of history's biggest entities.
Calm down. Most programmers are men, so clearly most teachers must be teaching boys and men.
Calm down. Even if Google pushed for girls to code for more than one day, this will not destroy your life. Your life would remain mostly unchanged.
do these super simple coding things Google and whoever offer really make people want to be programmers? I would think it would be kind of discouraging to see what "real" programming is after doing baby shit like that
Calm down. Why can't boys code too? Is it too "mainstream" for you SJWs?
>Calm down. No one's forcing girls to do anything.
That's the problem. The only way to make women take STEM is to force them. Use a mix of violence, threats and promises of jobs. Maybe start killing 1% of female liberal arts students for example. Give them a little incentive to study something else.
Calm down. That article has no evidence showing Google knows the skin color of the girls coding these Valentine's Day hearts.
Calm down. The existence of Google+ and YouTube do not prove Google knows the skin color of the girls submitting hearts.
Calm down. Most programmers are men, so boys are clearly already coding.
Calm down. There are many skilled female programmers. Working in tech, I know many. But I do know more male programmers. I think this is how it is because many people right now think programming is for nerdy guys. But I also go to events where kids are taught basic programming, and I'd say 30-55% of the kids are girls. Minecraft is a huge part of this, it seems. That said, I think there will be more male than female programmers for quite some time. Since boys just seems more interested in computers and video games than girls. For now.
Calm down. Many young boys and girls are getting enthusiastic about programming thanks to Minecraft, the Raspberry Pi and certain classes I've seen. Killing programmers will only lead to fewer programmers, both female and male.
Calm down. Most male programmers don't know how to weld. This includes most /g/ posters and I.
Calm down. Namecaling with poor grammar will change nothing.
I'd fuck a SJW, they just need a good amount of vitamin D to get out of the phase.
Calm down. I only hope the new "meme" is calm, logical explanations instead of emotional, thoughtless reaction that /g/ should hate.
Calm down. This thoughtless, angry namecalling is a terrible attitude to hold if you want to succeed and stay relevant in tech and programming.
>Butthurt /g/ neckbeards can't face the fact that women are the better gender
lol seriously get over it you virgins
I was thinking just this.
And kill seems much more accurate than stop. At least to me stop gives the impression of:
>don't run anymore, but be ready/hibernate
And kill seems like:
>ok kiddo ur fuckin gone for good
>You would be doing the world a great service by exposing an extremely unethical practice by one of history's biggest entities.
This is some top tier shitposting. I'm actually impressed.
I feel the same way. Be well.
The best part is, the reasoned, thoughtful posting looks absolutely ridiculous next to the avera/g/e reaction.
this triggered me so much I had to go on 4chin to post a cute anime girl.
but it is against the rules
posting stuff outside their respective board is against the rules, too, it's what I'm saying. this whole thread has little to do with technology... yet I was warned for a dumb comment.
