thinking of buying windows 10...
am i making a horrible horrible mistake?
I you play lots of video games I guess not.
Also if you use the adobe stuff.
I am having an existential crisis... why am I using GNU / Linux, when Windows can do everything and more. I can still support FOSS by submitting bug reports and donating money.
But I can use the proprietary stuff as well.
Just torrent a cracked copy of w7 and then upgrade. It's the easiest way in my experience.

You made a mistake making this bait thread because I just doxxed you. You'll be receiving about 10 boxes of elephant shit, 30 orders of pizza from surrounding area, and a horse dildo from amazon.
what's a reg edit? Is it the configuration similar to about:config of Firefox?
Should not be too much of a problem if that's the case.
wtf - why would they turn it back on?
No. You are infringing on my freedoms. You get the fuck out.
I use it. Install Anti-Beacon to disable privacy settings. The only downside is that you aren't able to choose what updates get installed and they never even warn you. Could be in the middle of work or something and it will just randomly restart for updates. Doesn't even bother waiting to 1AM or whatever it used to be before. But yeah, don't buy it. I would personally stick to Windows 8.1 if you are buying a new OS. If you don't need Adobe, .NET software (NinjaTrader), etc. then go with Xubuntu or Linux Mint instead.
does this work?
>hen go with Xubuntu or Linux Mint instead.
have been using Ubuntu for 8 - 10 years - various "flavors". It's fucking annoying that I can't get Intellij to have a stupid desktop icon - it's annoying that I can't auto-update atom.
It's just a quick tool that automatically disables everything in the settings that sends data to Microsoft. It's one of the few trustworthy tools that does this. Most "disable privacy in Windows 10" tools install a bunch of spyware themselves. Ironic.
>if the spying can be disabled
Not excusing them, but whats the difference between sending everything to apple/google vs microsoft?
All are faceless giants at this point.
No, Windows™ 10 is more secure and more safe.
Are you shitting me?... it's 2016, home vesions fo OSs should have support for virtalization.
That's just tryign to squize more money from customers, judaism at its finest..
Yup, I bought a laptop a few weeks back that came with Home by default and when I went to try and use hyper-v i found out it's a Pro+ feature only now.
For now I use virtualbox since $100 isn't worth it right now.
I too want to get my hand on some windows.
I heard Windows ME is a good choice but last time I ordered a CD-ROM on the information highway, it took several weeks till it arrived. Maybe if I stroke my penis for a while I can upload a new service pack for my UEFI if you know what I mean ;)
what's the deal with Hyper-V? I've used it twice and found it to suck. Virtualbox is much better and (pirated) VMWare is far better than both.
Am I missing something about Hyper-V?
>thinking of buying windows 10...
>Torrent Windows 7
>Download Windows Loader (will provide link if needed)
>Use Windows Loader to activate windows genuinely without paying
>Get free Windows 10 Update
is it possible to install my free win10 "upgrade" onto a different drive than what my current OS is on?
>Install Windows 10
>Boot PC one morning
>YOUR COMPUTER HAS CP WE ARE LOCKING IN BECAUSE WE'RE THE FEDS AND YOU HAVE TO PAY US MONEY
And I didn't even download anything the night before, Windows 10 is shit.
