Nova, obviously
>>
>>52959704
Xperia launcher is the best launcher ive ever used.

totally beats google experience launcher, especially after the google experience launcher reverted back to the vertical scroll.

if you dont have this, then go for nova launcher.
>>
Nova
>>
Nova launcher is a meme. It looks horrible and is slow as fuck.
>>
Nova
>>
>>52959850
You obviously don't know how to configure it.
>>
Apex Launcher is all of those things but also better than Nova.
>>
nova, everything else fucking blows
>>
sorry you won't find that outside of iOS
>>
>>52959902
Better in what way?
>>
>>52959915
As someone who migrated from an iphone 6s to an lg 4 I can tell you you are dead wrong.
>>
Nova for the win.

TSF Shell is worth a look. It used to be £10 but now it's free.
>>
>>52959888
It has very limiting options even on the shekel version.

It's a meme perpetuated by that stupid essential apps pic that floats around. It's a meme. People only use it because they saw it on a picture.
>>
>>52960106
I use it because it's very useful for organizing apps and because it's really fast if you disable animations. I've never even seen the pic you are talking about.
>>
>>52959953
l m a o I went from a g3 using nova to a 6s and am loving every moment

Nova is great if you like to rice. I like how you can hide folders under an app icon and show it with gestures.

But if you want something that just works, Smart Launcher is good too.

I prefer Launchers that adapt to my behaviour, Arrow Launcher does a good job at this, showing my recent apps, calls and files and placing the most used apps on one page. It looks professional.
>>
Does Nova have paginated vertical scrolling in the app list yet? If not I'm sticking to Apex
>>
>>52961221
I think it's just scrolling vertically
>>
Stock LG launcher
>>

Nova
Apex

the list goes on
>>
>>52961221
the fuck is paginated vertical scrolling?
>>
>>52961221
Yes
>>52961472
Nope, actually only Nova and Action Launcher are needed
>>

Look up the definition of paginated
>>
>>52961520
if you are talking about a different vertically scrollable group on each page then yes it does
>>
>>52961559
I assumed the guy asking the question wants separate pages to scroll through vertically rather than one seamless scrolling page
>>
>>52959704
Google Now. I don't tinker with my phone anymore so I just lost interest in ricing and wasting time on a device that is mostly in my pocket or on my desk.

Google Now

yes

I don't see any option for it

I just noticed the pull down to search feature in Nova. Seems handy if you have a ton of apps

pic related-- I just configured nova for the first time, everything's nearly stock but just like with foobar2000 you can change a lot

Settled on atom launcher after trying a whole bunch a few years ago. Was looking for one that was lightweight, had folders and a decent app drawer. Not that I use launcher features much anymore though. Now I just use pie control and T9 dialer

Apex

I've tried almost all the launchers posted ITT, Apex seems to be the most flexible without feeling bloated. Arrow launcher was nice but it's trying too hard to be like iOs.

Nova launcher.

No icons, only gestures. Nova launcher. Is there another launcher that can do this and is light?

I don't think I can go back to something not Smart Launcher. It's just so simple, fast and efficient.

Granted it sucks for ricing. But I have an old POS phone anyways.

Apus used to good, lightweight, and have some nice features. Now it's just shit.

This. Also it capitalizes on the diversification of GO Launcher and Meme Master with more botnet.
>>
Is there a good free as in freedom launcher?

Nova Launcher or bust. It's lightweight, customizable, and has an extremely functional free version. I used to use Apex before the sponsored folder bullshit, but now Nova rules.

The only thing that annoys me about Nova is the Widget drawer being scroll down instead of scroll drawers. Makes zero sense to change that.

Otherwise, there's no competition.

Action launcher 3.
>>
I've had action launcher 3, and after trying nova and google now and apex and a whole bunch of others, it's by far my favorite. I just downloaded the paid version from aptoide so no moneys were spent. Can never go back to a paged appdrawer.
>>
Most of the Android ricing I see on here is aesthetically pleasing, but reduces ease of use. I guess that's why they call it ricing.

Sure the minimalist, 6 icon group with no dock looks cool, but who wants to have to have to constantly be doing shit like searching for commonly used apps in the drawer?

All three of my icons are folders. Tap them and they open the first app in the folder, swipe them and they open the folder.
>>
>>52973054
That's what I used to do with action launcher. I had my five icon dock, but all of them were the swipe folders organized how I liked them (most frequent, social media, google shit, tools, other). I loved it. And I had a quickpage (action launcher thing, an additional 4x4 screen that you get by dragging from the right. it's sorta dumb) that I stored my widgets on, like the flashlight. And I had a widget for a text-based clock, that when you clicked it would open kik, and I can't remember what I made a double click. That was my old phone, I haven't done much to my new one yet. Finally able to use custom roms, so I've been dicking around with cyanogen and aokp mostly.
>>
>>52970105
not him, but with Apex you're able to change basic things (icons size, for example) without the premium version. aside from that, I prefer Nova.
>>
>>52968458
Which widget is that?
>>
>>52973169
Another thing I like about Nova, which is most likely offered by other lauchers, too, is the scrollable dock.
>>
>>52973054
You should try List app drawer sorted alphabetically
>>
>>52961735
You can have tabbed app drawer "folders" that will accomplish what you want, but the first tab is just an alphabetized listing of all your apps. Though you could use the hide icon feature to get what you want.
