Never mind the fact that if Gimp was simply an exact Photoshop clone it would open itself up to lawsuits from Adobe who have definite monopolist leanings. Same reason why Gimp has to avoid certain features to not infringe on software patents held by Adobe.

I use Photoshp via Win in VirtualBox and it runs faster than what it did on a Windows drive, same pc.
All that untill I found out about Pixeluvo through a sale on steam and got it for 20euro. And since then I never used anything else. It is super simple, clean design, intuitive and awesome.

The UI is only cramped if you use it on a fucking 800x600 resolution screen. If you have any monitor made in the past 15 years it's fine.
