Someone, please fork GIMP, give it a less stupid name and overhaul this piece of shit they call a "user interface". I'd even donate to support the development.
It doesn't look and act exactly like the one program that graphics designers know how to use therefore they think its terrible.
Never mind the fact that if Gimp was simply an exact Photoshop clone it would open itself up to lawsuits from Adobe who have definite monopolist leanings. Same reason why Gimp has to avoid certain features to not infringe on software patents held by Adobe.
How is it a meme anon? It's got more features than $100 a month per pc per person per country per weekly infant sacrifice Photoshop and it's completely free. Albeit it's a little harder to use than Photoshop, it's still better than the mess that's gimp with everything having it's own window.
>than the mess that's gimp with everything having it's own window.
Is this the only complaint with GIMP? You can see in OP that it can be changed. OP's picture isn't separated in several windows.
What are some other complaints about GIMP, why is it generally disliked
I use Photoshp via Win in VirtualBox and it runs faster than what it did on a Windows drive, same pc.
All that untill I found out about Pixeluvo through a sale on steam and got it for 20euro. And since then I never used anything else. It is super simple, clean design, intuitive and awesome.
I can tell you what isn't wrong
>it has menu on top
>can be set to single window mode
>some (SOME!) icons are self-explanatory
>you can kinda use it if you really hate yourself or have too much free time
>What is wrong with the UI?
It cannot be used professionally.
Pic related is what the professionals are used to.
What's wrong with the interface? It looks pretty much the same as other image editors except if you have a potato resolution.
is this 2005?
Bow to the king baby.
Works exactly how I want it to on my machine, OP. Just don't be so tech-illiterate'sall!
You can;t make this shit up.
Why? What is wrong with GIMP? As long as it can paint peppers the program does exactly what it was intended to do just fine :^)
