>App settings: Because I need some apps to be in English instead of my native language, because the translation is shit.

>Bootmanager: Some apps don't need to start on boot.

>Use USB for Marshmallow: Because my phone should always connect as an MTP device and i am too lazy to select it each time.

>Youtube Background Playback: For obvious reasons.
>>
>>52923122
>Youtube Background Playback
Could you clarify on that?
>>
>>52923146
Let's you open and play a YouTube video and then switch to a different app while the video keeps playing in the back.
>>
>>52923146
YouTube Red for poor people.
>>
I can't install xposed on my 5.0.1 verizon gs4 without a whole lot of skullfuckery that I'm not willing to risk bricking my phone.
;_;
>>
>>52923561
YouTube red is a shitty way for people like pewdiepie to make more money even though everyone uses adblock anyway
>>
>>52922978
how do you make lucky patcher work?, have you tried freedom?
>>
>>52923579
I did it on my moto e but if your not experienced then its not worth trying.
In my opinion its pretty easy
>>
>>52923122
>use usb for marshmallow
nice, thanks for that
I was tired of that, whoever made charge only the default is retarded
>>
>>52923605
You install lucky patcher and activate the xposed module, and then it'll prompt you every time you try making an in app purchase.
>>
>>52923611
I mean, I got it rooted with Kingroot (the only method with any success rate on 5.0.1) and I tried to replace it with SuperSU but almost ended up bricking my phone due to the bullshit you have to go through will Lollipop phones, especially Verizon ones. I gave up on that, and every time, EVERY TIME I try using custom recovery apps, nothing ever works. They never get installed, I can't install anything over recovery, nothing. I don't know if I have shit luck or I'm just overlooking some things. Oh well. I only really wanted snapprefs anyways to save dem noodz without the lady knowing
>>
>>52923605
Not OP but this is what I think

>Have you tried freedom
Freedom is really shitty and unsupported in most apps.
>How do you use lucky patcher
You install it, give it root access then boom
>>
>>52923664
You overlooked the "Verizon" label on your phone, when you bought it. I hope you learned your lesson at least.
>>
>>52923664
Ah okay my phone was originally 4.4 till I did the moto bs and unlocked bootloader then installed team win recov then flashed paranoid android
From there I just flashed xposed and lived happily ever after
>>
>>52923692
wasn't my choice, it's been my phone forever, since my parents bought me it.
>inb4 underage
no, I'm just an upper middle class fuck
>>
>>52923816
>parents bought me it
It's the other way round when you're an adult, usually.
>>
>>52923635
>>52923668
I have tried lucky patcher but I never got it to work, I use freedom solely because it works with mobile hidden camera, I suppose I'll give lucky patcher another go.
>>
>>52924656
are you sure you granted it root access and enabled it in xposed? It works much better than freedom ever did for me.

>>
>>52923664

>>
shit niggas, I couldnĀ“t make youtube background playback work for shit on my device.

what the fuck I am doing wrong? do I have to revert the apk to an older version or something?
>>
>>52923612
Maybe it's because of security?

If you have a secure lockscreen it means that you need to input your pin/password/pattern before you can access the files on the phone
>>
>>52924888
This, Casper GOAT snapchat app

Just make/use a fake Google profile if you use that type of login and you don't trust the dev
>>
>>52924986
Casper is shit in comparison to snapprefs, which does tons other than saving it. Not only is it ad-free unlike your cancer soar Casper, it has options of sharing photos and videos previously taken on another camera app. IT has access to tons of custom filters and lots of customization for the in text and drawing tools
Plus many more.
Make sure to check out SnapPrefsā„¢

>Make sure you're using the most expensive stuff possible, or you're poor!
This is how you become poor.
>>
>>52925251
>but casper is a second app
Uninstalled regular SC, so casper is my first app :^)

>sign in to use
If you're rooted it can jack the regular SC app's session, so you don't need to log in
>>
>>52925285
It's not about being expensive, it's about being the best.
>>
>>52925248
But I though we were comparing phone prices here

Why move the goal posts? :3
>>
>>52925309
If you're rich you don't care about the stuff being "the best"

You only care for it to be expensive, so you fit in
>>
>>52925309

Best for what?
>>
>>52925649
Performance, ecosystem, app availability, app quality, camera (still unbeaten by android in overall performance, not just muh pickles), DAC performance, updates (big one).

I mean the one thing that's android claim to fame is customizability, but the only reason it matters it because android is shit to begin with and you have to make it better. Get rid of Touchjizz and other manufacturer bloat and carrier apps (which iOS doesn't have). Then you end up having fragmentation anyway and that shiny new flagship you buy gets cucked for the newest version of android. Even google want's to have more control and follow apples model.
>>
>>52925707
>still unbeaten by android in overall performance
Nice one homeslice

DxOMark disagrees
>>
>>52925746
>android camera apps as responsive as the iOS app
Lol
>>
>>52925707
You forgot the part where iOS is closed down as fuck
>no access to filesystem
>no possibility to choose default apps
>can't open links in relevant apps (4chan URLs in Clover, Facebook URLs in Facebook app and so on)
This is the difference between a shiny toy OS and an OS that allows you to have actual productivity.
>>
>>52925777
The camera being "responsive" isn't the most important part when judging a camera's quality

Actual picture quality is more important
>>
>>52925779
>>no possibility to choose default apps
>>can't open links in relevant apps (4chan URLs in Clover, Facebook URLs in Facebook app and so on)
biggest reason I don't want to use an iDevice

Fuck Apple Maps and Safari
>>
Is it even possible to get xposed on marshmallow yet? Mine just says the version of android SDK is unsupported. Is there a special version I have to get or something?
>>
>>52925810
>Is it even possible to get xposed on marshmallow yet
Yes

But you have to flash it through the recovery

Download v80 (latest one) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
>>
>>52925810
>Is there a special version I have to get or something?
sdk23
>>
>>52925779
>no access to the file system
For what purpose? Honestly?
>default apps and relevant apps
Good point, but still not a dealbreaker considering how much better iOS does essentially everything else than android.

>>52925792
If I have a 400000000 megapixel camera that takes 20 seconds to focus who gives a fuck? If you had any fragment of a brain you'd realize what you just said is completely and utterly retarded.
>>
>>52925838
>If I have a 400000000 megapixel camera
Now look at who's equating quality with mega pickels
>>
>>52925838
>pickles=quality
ok
>>
>>52925843
Fine, a phone with a full frame sensor and no visible noise at ISO 25600.
>>
>>52925838
Except DxOMark judge more than muh pickels

They also go over the AF, exposure, video and shit
>>
>>52925882
I'm talking about how fast the app opens and how responsive it is.
>>
>>52923336

>>
>>52925923
>fast the app opens

https://youtu.be/axGudPkxES4?t=15s
>>

>>
>>52922847
Xprivacy
>>
>>52925838
>For what purpose? Honestly?
Are you fucking serious?
This is literally the one feature you ABSOLUTELY need for your OS to qualify as non-toyshit.
Accessing your files allows you to edit them with whatever app you want, share them with various services, copypaste them etc etc.
If you can't do that then you might as well have gotten a dumbphone.
>>
>>52926011
>edit them with whatever app you want
Check
>share them with services
Check
>copypaste them
Check.

So again I ask you, for what purpose?
>>
>>52925969
yes. xpivacy is realy cool!
>>
>>52923336
OGYoutube also allows you to watch them in a pop-up and download them.
>>
Tinted Status Bar

Flat Style Colored Keyboard
>>
>>52925248
I'll take the bait and respond. The 820 is running faster than the A9 for offscreen tests. It's running at a resolution of 1600x2560 for onscreen tests so it can't be compared to an iPhone. Plus the 820 is likely underclocked on that test board for stability.
>>
BootManager - don't need garbage running on startup
RecentApp clear - clear the recent list so that it's cleaner faster to switch
Snapprefs - auto save snaps
Youtube Adaway - self explanatory
>>
explain xposed to a non-smartphone owner
>>
Where are you guys finding power nap?
>>
>>52929276
It's like a root only app store. Everything on it is some kind of tweak/mod for your smartphone.
>>
>>52923668
>Freedom is really shitty and unsupported in most apps.

Not him but freedom works pretty good on most of the apps i use, while i find lucky patcher kinda annoying to use since it most patch every app for it to be useful (which tends to break some apps)

Imagine you have a house, but you can't go in any room of the house or use anything in the house.

to go into any room in the rouse you have to ask permission and have a person accompany you.

if you want to read a book you have to ask permission and have a person read it for you. practically there must have one person for each task you could do in the house.

literally an retarded kid OS
