>the software's creator has started urging people to stop using it in favor of HTML5 — but the player still persists in web ads across the internet. Fortunately, that may soon be about to end. Google has announced that from June 30th this year, its widely used AdWords and DoubleClick advertizing services will no longer allow uploads of ads built in Flash, forcing users to code their display ads in HTML5 instead. From January 2nd next year, Flash ads won't run at all on DoubleClick or the Google Display Network.
Why do you still use flash anon?
Thank god, flash ads are probably the number one source of malware on computers today, that buggy load of garbage should have never been allowed to be in ads in the first place
About fucking time, nothing like the feeling we are closer to the true death of flash: adobe is no longer working on it.
Good taste, man
OK, I legit need to know wtf this cartoon is, it's the third post with pictures from her, I totally forgot the name.
>falseflag campaign against innocent Flash
Shut up adobecuck. No one wants your vulnerable piece of shit flash in 2016
Contrary to you newfags I grew up during the Newgrounds golden age and even made games for flash back when it was Macromedia's, the current HTML5 games don't come even close to those glorious days.
Yeah now scream "Respect my old faggorty" while security exploits violate your anus hole with the force of thousand suns
Literally this. I can't surrender flash, not ever. Although I suppose there is a bit of an ongoing transition into .webm, nowadays.
No more flash in advertisements is good, though.
Oh yeah, like the were hundreds of really high-quality games when Flash first came out. The only thing that's really improved is the number of people with enough knowledge to teach others how to use it, which will happen with any widespread language.
Flash is pretty bad for anything above a certain size limit anyway, refer to The Binding of Isaac and the remake, TBoI: Rebirth (contrary to complaints about content changes, the only real problem with it is the fact that Edmund split with Danny so he couldn't use the superior OST).
>Why do you still use flash anon?
I don't think anyone uses flash because they want to see flash ads (which should be blocked along with all other ads). I still have flash installed because I do, in fact, enjoy a few games that are made in flash and will never be ported to HTML5. Until shumway becomes a usable product, I'm not going to uninstall flash.
Mate, I've got a million tabs open, and Flash is the cause of 9 out of 10 of my browser crashes.
Flash had the third largest amount of security vulnerabilities in 2015, right behind Mac OS X and iOS.
Excuse my ignorance but isn't everything from animations to sounds included in ONE .swf file with Flash?
And isn't it that there's for the same project you'd have to access several files instead of just one with HTML5?
How is this better?
Also, I don't even know how I could create some animated and interactive HTML5 content as quickly and easy as I could with Flash.
Flash was a giant clusterfuck but it was fun as hell for small animation projects.
They don't care. If you have to visit site every time you need to access this content instead of just saving it locally then you will see more ads and shit. Google is still trying to enforce their retarded "everything should be in the internets, nothing belongs to you" idea because it's good for corps. Fucking cyberpunk everywhere.
Why is she being posted so much on /g/ lately?
It started when an Anon made this thread, Jenny later catches on like wild fire.
