>>52892935 MicroSD won't ever come back in the galaxy s line because samsung is slowly making them better in water resistance, but there's always Sony, great devices, best waterproofing and no features being dropped every year because apple doesn't have them either.
>>52892902 I'm posting from an S6 right now. I had an iPhone 5S for 3 years before getting this phone. This thing crashed more times in my first month of ownership than the iPhone did in 3 years. It's even slowed down considering since I first got this piece of shit, and that wasn't even but a few months ago.
>Another "we fucked up, hopefully this fixes it" Samsung device >Still running TouchWiz >Galaxy loyalists will flock to it >Tech sites will praise the fuck out of it because "The features are better and TouchWiz is just a little less shitty this year" >Got me a Nexus >waiting for the LG G5 and HTC M10 to drop with my finger on the microwave's popcorn button >feelsgoodman.jpg
>>52892997 Oh well, then they might be going the right way again, but touchwizz is still too bloated imho. It would be better if all android devices just came with stock android with maybe some apps replaced by oem variants, because I hate having 2 mail, music, weather, gallery ... apps because the google ones are ussually better.
>>52892993 You fell for the Galaxy meme. Get an Android phone without an overbearing, buggy and slow-updated interface, or get one with an unlockable bootloader and flash a custom ROM. Unless the phone is total shit or older than 2013, you'll find yourself quite happy. Source: Owned and custom ROM'd so far; G1, EVO Shift, Sidekick 4G(was a mistake), Optimus G(RIP - God, I miss this beauty of a phone), Galaxy S3, Galaxy S5, LG G2, ZTE ZMax(runs 5.1.1 like a dream and can be found for $50), Nexus 6(God-tier phone. Period.)
>>52893113 Non-replaceable is fine if the battery life doesn't suck ass. I got an average of 4h SOT from my old Optimus G, over 5 from my Zmax(low processor, low res screen, huge battery) and about 4.5 to 7 from my Nexus 6, depending on usage. PSP gaming, 3d MMOs, YouTube, etc - 4.5 hours or so. Light browsing, emailing, writing via Drive, etc - about 7 hours.
>>52893224 The S2 was good, it's just that the S3 was great, and the S4 was even better, making the rest of the S line pretty dull. Hopefully the S7 can break their streak. I don't see myself upgrading from the Note 4 for at least 5 years. Maybe by then we'll have xPoint and behemoth ARM chips that can compete with today's enthusiast chips.
I dont understand. What do you people do with your devices that everyone is always going on and on about the latest and greatest like it will be the best since sliced bread? Its a smart phone. Great. There is nothing wrong with getting a new device, but I personally know people who get a new phone every 3 months or so. They spend $100s on a new phone, use it to maybe 15% of its potential, then sell it for 50% what they bought it for. All they so is the same shit from phone to phone. Social media, email, call/text. Why do they need the newest $600 device with 4k screen, 25mp camera and 6gb ram?
>inb4 jelly poorfag
Money isnt my problem. Spending money on placebo is.
>>52893407 Quick question from an uninformed faggot, I see some bulk eBay sellers are shipping out B+ quality note 4s for like 240 right now and I cannot stand existing with an iPhone any longer, is 240 for the phone and then 40 for a zero lemon worth it to let me escape this iOS hell?
Samsung "we copy everything bad about iPhones" Galaxy Samsung "there is nothing wrong with comic sans for UI" Galaxy Samsung "we literally downgrade displays on TVs after reviewers praise the quality" Galaxy Samsung "hide truths about our Chinese slave labor" Galaxy Samsung "we have financial stranglehold over South Korean government" Galaxy Samsung "we ruined Android" Galaxy
>>52894140 Has it ever occurred to you that maybe people who discuss a new smartphone are likely to be considering it as their next smartphone to have for a few years, and aren't necessarily buying many of them every year?
Just like people discussing mid-range cars on forums. They're considering them as their only car, not as a toy to buy and park 355 days a year.
Also if you're a tech entusiast, you know very well that even if you don't plan to buy something, it's still nice to discuss it from a technological point of view.
