>>
what are your opinions on having a "rent-a-kitchen" sort of deal where homeless people bake shit?
>>
>>52834651
Can you elaborate on this a bit? Like, how did you come to be homeless in NYC? Are you from there? Did you try moving there and just figure out that being homeless isn't so bad?
>>
>>52834948
I'll elaborate in a few minutes
>>
Godammit I want to do this one day too but I need my phone and don't know how else to survive, I want to see what it's like to be homeless and then start from the ground up getting a little job then saving Money n stuff.

Feels bad man
>>
>>52834092
Where did you get the £3000 and how did you buy only a tiny amount of land? And how do you get utilities supplied to that tiny bit of land?
>>
>>52834948
I'm from the NYC area.

Grew up with a lot of family issues. Dad ran my credit to the ground, and I had nothing going for myself. no job, no prospects. Lived in NJ and only jobs were in NYC. Finally got myself a shit tier job in NYC but couldn't afford to commute, so I tried sleeping in my car and realized it works. Found my little niche in Queens, accessible to everythjng I need, including my gym. Keep my car parked there, take the subway to work and return to my car to sleep. Started making more money but decided to save up for a better future and self improvement
>>
>>52835464
How much do you think it costs you to live there per month?
>>
Alright guys here's my routine
>3 different shirts, 2 pair of quality jeans. 2 underwear, 1 pair of socks
>shave hair , keep a little sharp sissors for maintenance
>get gym membership for shower and cleaning working out is great too.
> only use homeless shelter for last report ( you only can stay there for a few weeks , use to get a little job or something)
>get sunscreen for when begging.
> brush teeth once week with baking soda and lemon if can.
> get cheap instant food with high protein (usually 99 cencts store)
> use train to get around, they don't mind if you say you want to tag along
> get whiteboard and marker much cheaper than getting cardboard all the time
> make friends with homeless, they can really watch your back (met Vietnam veteran like this)
>don't get scared. Your hunger and thirst will make you pretty confident into going out and earning money
I was a neet and got kicked out after my parents died, I only had 1 month of prep and sold all my things for these little things.

It's no problem anons, its a good experience that makes you appreciate what you have. Now I live in a little appartment and have a nice little job to work in and I'm going to college hopefully this August!
>>
>>52834876
are you paying car insurance? if so, is it still cheaper for you to use the train and leave the car parked?

>>
>>52834851
I know there's a lot of ways to make money, even e-begging for a real or fake reason/cause (GoFundMe).

The thing is, it's not wealth (passive income), and gigs are not jobs. When it comes to living, you want it to be reliable, and you also want to live easily and not overwork, so it's interesting to me to see how people balance it out.
>>
>>52839369

Doing this in australia will cop you with a $100 infringement fine every time some indian officer comes along to check your ticket, and there's about a 25% chance of coming across one every time you ride.

They don't play the sympathy game and take you to court shortly after not paying it.
>>
I really couldn't imagine being homeless. I've always had a nice place to live whether with my parents or on my own. I really do respect the people that can live like that, and especially those that can get out of it and live a really nice life after all.
>>
>>52841152
>fining the homeless
Just wow.
>>
You would need several days to charge a powerbank with that capacity over your laptops usb port... so what are you doing
>>
>>52843911
I've seen this in most major cities in the US. In Seattle we only recently implemented buses where we could do this and I see it probably 1/5 I have to ride one of these routes with these pathetic fucks. At my most poor I still made sure I could take the fucking bus. Yes, I've had to beg the bus driver to let me ride for free. I just didn't do that every day.
>>
>>52833772
Did another hobo take you're clit mouse?
>>
>>52841152
What's the point? They're homeless/unemployed. Pushing them through the judicial/prison press only means a lot of tax money wasted. If they're that determined to get rid of them in exchange for tax bucks, just build more shelters, it's cheaper.
>>
>>52844540
It takes like 16hrz and last up to 4-5 days of phone charges
>>
>>52834599
>unlimited 4G hotspot with Verizon that I pay 29.99$ a month with the neetbux

Yeah it's hella cheap, and less frustrating to take the train rather than drive. It costs me $116.50 for monthly unlimited rides, rather than $300+/month for gas/tolls/parking.

I just leaved my car parked, and drive only when I need to go where the train doesn't go.

Anyone have any experience with living in a van? It sounds like it could be comfy and a very cheap alternative to having an apartment, as long as you can find a place to park it.
>>
>>52849681
I've considered purchasing a cheap van and fixing it up, but I worry about what people would think of a plain, unmarked van parked in one spot for weeks.

Yes. I've been homeless in Japan for a week, getting an internet connection was least of my problems. You really need a place to store your stuff, even when temporarily homeless.

I've known there were lots of homeless people on 4chan for a while now. They all shitpost on mobile devices or laptops and spend more time here than anyone else. They get banned constantly but they don't care because they keep finding new IPs

Maybe my situation is different because i dont speak with my parents but I feel lonely as fuck. Sleep on the floor. Feel like garbage.
Being homeless is not always fun....

I make over 100k/yr and have a remote job. I often fantasize about living in a nice van. alternate parking it at different Walmarts. I rent space at a cowork place so I could just keep doing that and park my van in their lot full time. Save money like crazy. I bet I could save up 50k in a year no problem. 3 years I could own a very nice home and pay cash.

I own a $140k home right now. Owned it for 8 years, still owe like $120k almost. Fuck 30 year mortgages. Fuck the banks and their bullshit interest schedule. Own a home for 8 years and still 80% of your payment is going to interest.
>>
>>52862197
That sucks anon. Maybe cruise craigslist for people looking for roommates? Where I live there are even some hippy types that have comune style living arrangements. How much rent could you afford?
>>
>>52862197
Move in with one of those weird cunts that exchange rent for sex? Assuming you're a fag obviously.
>>
>>52862430
It'd be cheaper probably to buy a trailer home and put it on some cheap land.
>>
>>52862451
I dont live in the us so no craigslist.
I didnt want to rent a room because it would force me to ask my parents for financial help.

Tldr: my monthly income is around 200$.

Long story: i serve in the army in a small base located in the city as a programmer. So i dont get loads of cash. Furthermore, the base is considered "open" in the sense that you can not sleep there because it has no official beds and shit.

Right now, i go to a psychologist and i try to communicate with my family better so i can consider moving in as a roommate close to my work, and probably will.

I just wanted to point out, that being a homeless person can suck cucs...

I don't know about where you live but here in FL:
>all walmarts and Sam's club offer free coffee in the morning
>nearly every retail store has water fountains
>every restaurant CANNOT deny you free water. The cup size they can though

But this is also the bullshit state where it's technically illegal to be homeless. Not that that will hold up in court though, but if a cop wants to be an asshole they could arrest you for it. It is illegal to feed the homeless without some special permit or some shit. I can't back up my claim, but I heard it was because the Salvation Army wants the homeless to go to them and so they supported laws to practically outlaw it. But I'm gay and was kicked out.

learn to dumpster dive, it's awesome, tons of unopened and vacuumed packaged goods that are simply near or just over their expiration, or products that have been returned and had their cords cut. I've got so much electronics and foods from CVS and Aldi I didn't need my foodstamps anymore and I actually made money fixing stuff up and selling it on craigslist, or just recycling it.
