I've been using Maxthon for a while now and I really like the UI and the features/tools, it's super convenient for my daily habits. It's an originally Chinese browser so I guess they're not willingly sending anything to Jewgle and M$. I've had to block "Beijing Blue Technologies" in the host file and firewall though. I also don't like that it's based on Chromium, so some data is bound to get through.
Firefox has degenerated quite a bit in the last few years, but I'm hoping that the new browser that's being developed by Mozilla's founder will be better.
>i base my browser choices on internet memes
Is the butt nut meme still popular?
If you run a web proxy like Fiddler you can see with your own eyes that Chromium sends encrypted HTTP messages to Google's servers even with all the tracking settings disabled. It's not a conspiracy.
I consider beta to be the cutting edge and dev edition the bleeding edge. I need some stability, so I'm staying with the beta. I might consider moving up to the Aurora release channel, but probably not the dev edition.
Did you ever read the article? A fucking bloat that is already useless UNTIL the user (and not a normal user, but an experimented one who decides to fuck up the Chrome:\\flags) checks the option to turn on the microphone. Also, this shit is only for the "OK Google" command so it doesn't phone home until you say your search query.
>There is not a single web browser today that is flawless
Every browser has something that's good, and something that isn't good. Why can't we just have one single browser that does it all?
Vivaldi is getting there, but they decided to go closed source. We were so close!
I haven't seen one mention of Pale Moon. I'm not a tech savvy individual like you guys, but I had a shitty old laptop a while back and had to use the most efficient and lightweight browser.
>not understanding greek alphabet
shake my brain compartment famille
Call it Greg.
You know, Greg, your popular friend.
Greg will always be there for you protecting you from ads and trackers, Greg is useful.
He makes you feel safe, free and doesn't judge you.
Get Icecat instead of Firefox, Iridium instead of Chromium, Otter Browser instead of Opera or Vivaldi, and Pale Meme for something else entirely.
(Pale Moon now uses goanna for rendering instead of gecko.)
Brave Browser. Take a look into their Github account, they are open for customization features.
Brave will be the new Firefox in being feature rich. Fuck Chrome UI clone Googlezilla!
Any of you Aryan brothers know of a non-zionist lisp compiler?
Found this in FAQ. The victim complex on these fuckers.
Last time I checked many users have ublock on icecat, it's just not advertised on the icecat plugin page because stallman autism.
You might have to change something in about config though.
