What mouse does /g/ use?
Got this bad boy coming in the mail in 3 days.
I've not found anything that matches the ergonomics of this, with the same scroll wheel.
It keeps double-clicking every year months now and I keep fixing it.
Won't replace it until Logitech makes something similar that doesn't have a PoS scroll wheel.
I use the reddragon 601, its not great but it's cheap and it gets the job done
>that good feel when never bought razershit products
>never fell for the "gaymer" meme
think about all the times you died, if you spend your shekels on a gaymer mouse it wouldnt of happened
I fell for this meme.
Well actually my dad did.
It was a good mouse while it lasted but it was overrated.
I have the deathadder Chroma now. It's still gaymer shit but it's pretty fucking good.
>awesome LEDs(not as big of a deal but still nice nonetheless)
>software is not nearly as intrusive as most people make it out to be, and it adds a lot of nice if gimmicky options.
I was going to do this.
But then I removed my old Roccat Kone XTD from my desk, the MX Master works out perfectly well for games imo.
With the Unifying receiver, no noticeable input delay or tracking issues.
Bluetooth is apparently a different story.
i'm using a g9
logitech is not making a g9 successor
my g9 is suffering malfunctions from a long and loving service life
i will be spending $250 to get new-old stock of a g9 to replace my g9, since logitech doesn't want my money
too bad it skyrocketed in price to like $100 and I can't buy another. I'm sure there are better mice out there for like $45 nowadays anyway.
>he has one of these ugly pieces of shit on his desk
Loling @ your life
if a girl went into your room her pussy would instantly dry up
So i have this cheap wireless microsoft mouse that basicly starts jerking if i flick it too fast (in fps games).
And i was thinking to buy myself rival 100 which is pretty affordable. Is that a good choice or is there other choices for a 40€ mouse?
Got tired of mine and removed the logo and painted it glossy black. Kinda happy with it but It's getting old
It looks like the original one (logo, design, etc) but desu the sensor is quite shitty and snappy compared to other mouses I've had in the past.
It's pretty much impossible to play FPS games on a small mousepad. I use another mouse when my friends want to play shooters gaymes.
But it's perfectly usable for MMOs or MOBA or office tasks (browsing, programming, etc).
And it only costed me something like 20€.
>Thinking a typical girl would define her level of attraction to you because of a computer peripheral
Loling @ your life right now!
>middle button instead of it being on the scroll wheel
Love that shit. I think I had like an older model or something, it looked very similar to that but slightly different shape and colors. After too many years to count though it recently started to die so Im gonna get this after reading up on it
I thought everyone was just buying it because MUH GAYMUR EQUIPMENT but from what I've seen its a genuinely quality product thats worth the price. What do you guys think though?
Deathadder is literally the only acceptable product in their lineup these days, and has been for the past few years. There's a reason they keep refreshing it and bumping up the price ever so slightly every time.
Does anyone alter their DPI for different tasks? What's your normal, working time DPI? What about when gaming, do you switch things around depending on the game's genre? Is it a dumb idea to lower the in game mouse sensitivity to the minimum and increase the DPI until it's accurate? Answer what you can, I'm mostly interested in the last question.
>what do you goys think about g700s?
>about to place an order
Just bought it for 50 bucks at best buy. Feels different but that's because I need to get used to it. For 50 bucks it feels good tho
I used a Deathadder 2013 for a year, mostly for CS. Fucking terrible mouse, I didn't realise how bad it was until I got gifted a roccat kone xtd (a godsend apart from its software).
I heard stories about peoples DAs breaking, double clicking and thought it was memes. 6 months in mine kept double clicking.
I love the roccat kone, it just feels so much nicer to use.
go to the website at the bottom of this picture
pick a mouse from that list that best suits u shape and size wise and youre good (da chroma is on it )
also it wont let me post the link thats why i cant just copy it to you
Got this bad boy (Abyssus 2014) through Amazon pricing glitch or something, to replace my old Gigabyte M6800. It's pretty comfy but the lack of side buttons is kind of annoying, and there is no rubber grip on the sides.
I leave my mouse at default DPI (800) for everything. The normal DPI or default depends on your mouse, but most of them are 800. Sometimes I change it to 1000 depending on the game.
To get the most accurate reading, you should set Windows mouse settings to halfway (I think it's 5/11) and the game's settings to halfway or tick 'raw input' so that there is no extra software acceleration or deceleration which would make it less accurate.
I got a CM Storm Xornet a few weeks ago off Amazon for ~$25 to replace my 8 year old MX518. I'm liking it so far, I think it fits my mouse-grip style better than the MX did and the sensor is bretty good too. It's a bare bones mouse that doesn't have any LEDs nor does it require any extra software which are both positive traits in my opinion.
tempted to grab one of these for my new mouse, i literally dont think i can live without a couple of side buttons though.. maybe for gaming yes but having to click the back and forward button on a browser is a thing of the past for me
I have one of those. I stopped using it because I experienced connectivity issues where it would randomly start skipping and shit. I'm not sure if the mouse is defective or if my steel case and desk were interfering with the signal but it was only like 4-5 feet away from the usb dongle... I switched back to a wired mouse because I was tired of fucking with it. Even using a 4" usb extension cable to get the dongle a little farther away from the case didn't make any difference.
You won't regret it. Best mouse I've ever used.
I used a halway point between palm grip and claw grip.
Which one is the best for CSGO/FPS games/comfyness out of these? Which one should I get?
>Razer Deathadder Chroma
>Steelseries Rival 300
going just off of what I heard:
g303: best sensor, very small. might explode ur wrists unless you like small mice
dA: very big, very easy to click. great for giants with xboxhueg hands, otherwise one might not fancy the semi palm and fingertip grip a normal person using this mouse would tend to
ss rival: most like the intellimouse 3.0. If you liked that you'd have a soft spot for this mouse
zowie ec2-a: similar to intellimouse 3.0. lovers of old intellimouse would have a soft spot for this one. Also, lack of mouse drivers is a plus (however I don't really know the difference between zowie mice and may be thinking of anther model here, though I believe none of them have drivers regardless)
g502: very heavy. best sensor. greatest con I've heard of this is it looking like a spaceship, and perhaps complaints of one's accidentally pressing a specific side button in the way they naturally hold the mouse, but perhaps my memory's false and they were speaking of another mouse.
sorry for the shit feedback but I tried senpai
yeah. the steelseries rival and certain models of the deathadder have a problem with the rubber at the side wearing down upon constant use. and the coating of the deathadder black edition wears down and leaves a sticky residue after a while.
>dA: very big, very easy to click. great for giants with xboxhueg hands, otherwise one might not fancy the semi palm and fingertip grip a normal person using this mouse would tend to
I've heard they break within a month
so far what I gathered is:
deathadder -> breaks easily, shit build quality, double click problem
zowie ec2 -> shit scroll-wheel and quality control
rival 300 -> shit software, shit side rubber, strange cursortwitch bug
g303 -> too small, strange shape
g502 -> not ergonomic, most expensive, strange button placing
so which one should I actually get?
>come to mouse thread
>all gaymen shit
>no zowie mice
It's like you all are cucks in a box
>buy the deathadder, it's literally the best thing ever!
>lol no, it's the shittiest mouse ever, never buy razer
>hey dude, get the rival 300, it's the best shit on the market
>dont listen to this faggot, dont buy anything steelseries EVER, they are all shit
>well, i always buy logitech and they are always good, so there's that, buy a logitech
>lmao logitech is the shittiest fucking brand ever, they are all shit and overpriced
>just get a zowie holy shit, its the best gaming mouse
>zowie? those are fucking shit, never get zowie, they are shit!
fuck this shit seriously
How did you post this a mere eight seconds off from your post in the /r9k/ thread you made? Either post cooldown times are board-specific and I just never knew that or some serious samefagging bullshit is going down right now.
But that said I checked out the /r9k/ thread and everyone's recommending the Deathadder. Not sure what I expected.
what's a good and cheap wireless mouse with rechargeable battery?
I bought pic related for 20 euros on amazon last year, it's OK except being fucking hideous
I am pretty sure they fixed that issue with the newest batches, not 100% sure though. Besides buying a new one doesn't mean its going to be a fixed batch anyway, could be old stock.
Yeah,I love the g500
I bought a g502 because the microswitches were having issues with static and had worn down. But I just didn't like the shape of the g502 as much, so I bought new microswitches and soldered them into the g500. Best decision I ever made.
I don't think going for a mouse with an inferior sensor to avoid fixing a mouse with a superior sensor is a wise choice desu senpai.
If the sensor's still perfect then I guess it's a fine stance to take for a matter of principle, but still, you're still supporting the company if not the product itself.
A4tech X7-740k . Looks like crap now , pattern has worn off but works well . I used it fully loaded with weights - now I have a stronger wrist ( that may also result from other types of training :) )
I use a Logitech G9X. Pretty much the predecessor to the G502. Unfortunatly it is now 7 years old and rusting.
I think he was referring to the smiley face emoticon desu but at this point in my life I could not give any less of a fuck about using emoticons to express oneself on the internet
>buy G400s for $30 for sale last year
>Go to thrift store and find this for $0.50
>Like it better than G400s
>You only need high dpi for high screen resolution
Actually I saw a video once of someone comparing something like 400 dpi x [high in-game sense] to like 1600 dpi x [low in-game sense to match speed of 400 dpi example], and their mouse movement was a lot smoother on the 1600 dpi setting. I think at a high dpi you send more inputs to the game or some shit, so mouse movement is smoother.
I bought a Utechsmart Venus because my shitty Corsair m90 had massive scroll wheel issues and I envied the Razer Naga' button layout. Other than the lack of aluminum frame, it's been a superior experience in every way, even the layout of the chink software.
Dont worry about it doing that. Pretty sure that guy just got unlucky with a faulty sensor in general. It takes literally 5 minutes at most to fix it, thats if it even bothers you anyway.
Anon, surely you realized you're using a right-handed mouse on the left side?
Middle click on my 2013DA got fucky after 3 years, started double clicking and missing clicks but the rest of the mouse still works fine. Ran that thing through two pairs of skates on cloth mats. Don't give a fuck what you niggers think that was probably the best mouse I've ever owned. EC1-A came in yesterday, liking it so far.
If you just want a normal looking mouse that isn't a piece of shit, Deathadder or EC1-A. G502 is a brick that looks like a homosexual transformer.
>If you just want a normal looking mouse that isn't a piece of shit, Deathadder or EC1-A. G502 is a brick that looks like a homosexual transformer.
Stop worrying about the look of the mouse. Mouses are designed to be used, not looked at. As far as I can see the G502 is excellent, though my G9x is still going strong so I don't have reason to get one yet.
LionCast LM30. Not even playing MMORPG or similar things, but you can configure these buttons for max comfy workflow. Good mouse so far, selected this one because it seemed to be a very robust one.
Those tracking speeds listed are as fast as the mouse can go without losing accuracy when tracking. So yes, those mice are 100% accurate up to those speeds, in excess of those speeds then you have jumping around or other tracking issues
Logitech G303, Zowie EC1-A, Zowie EC2-A or something else?
I mainly play CSGO with 400 DPI and low sensitivity (2.4).
Also claw grip
So what does /g/ think of the Ducky Secret?
Switched my g402 for this bad boy , light , compact and feels great (getting better at cs:go with it)
it has weights you can take out tho
haven't used it but the specs look really nice
best sensor and switches. great shell material. only question is if they programmed in any autism or not.
This, mi familia. Every fucking electronic device I owned that had a braided cord wound up a ripped, tangled mess. I don't even fucking move my peripherals from my desk, ever.
It got to the point where I just flat out do not buy something if the cord is braided. I refuse to put up with it.
hello i am poor and i find 3 mouse
Gigabyte GM-M5680 (has DPI switch)
Logitech B100 (800 DPI)
What is best for me? soon i sell my other PC so i get money but for now i have this....
I HATE HOW THE SENSITIVITY IN LINUX WORKS. THE SENSITIVITY SETTING IS SO DIFFERENT FROM WINDOWS..
REALLY ITS SO ANNOYING.... WHY DONT THEY JUST MAKE IT SO THAT ITS EASY TO TRANSFER FROM WINDOWS?
The main reason is that a braided cable is more rigid and generally thicker than a non braided cable. This creates additional cable drag, even if you have a bungee. Some of us go to great lengths to not have that additional cable drag, wireless mice notwithstanding.
MICROSOFT WHEEL OPTICAL. (discontinued)
Good big mouse for big manly hands
If not, just get a logitech B100 or some other office mouse that is minimally decent and doesnt have shitload of unnecessary buttons in the way
I tried that mouse. My hand hurt like hell. The only mouse I've felt comfortable with is Trust GXT34.
>mfw it's discontinued and costs a shit ton on ebay
>Mionix Castor, Zowie FK1
top kek, nice bait
Only razer product that hasn't failed me. Been using it for years.
Used it before, never hate a mouse so much
The shape is autism in a diamond ring, the sensor isn't even THAT responsive, The clicking is shit, and let's not forget the horrid and I mean HORRID build quality. Sensor inside the piece of shit sounds like maracas at a Mexican dance theater.
yeah, I usually claw but i've had to learn to palm grip since I got this to press the side buttons. The only way to improve the mouse, apart from making it lighter, is to make the dpi shift button closer to the back of the mouse
What's not great about it? I have that mouse and I absolutely love it. 13 dollars for the best mouse I've ever had. I love the feel of it. It looks kinda autistic, but imo it's a wonderful mouse.
I just checked the Logitech LS1 to find your budget, and amazon says that mouse is 37 dollars, so I suggest opting for the Logitech g100s, which I believe has a perfect sensor Nd is even cheaper than the LS1, whose stats are unknown to me.
I thought the Corsair M45 was also a budget mouse with a perfecr sensor but right now it is 59 dollars on amazon so I appear to have been mistaken.
I went from an IME to pic related a few days ago, it's surprisingly comfy and works nicely for dual vidya/desktop needs, despite what I've heard RE: Razer
Currently using a G502I'll cop pic related when it goes back on Massdrop
battery life is kinda shit so you're gonna want to charge it every day (when you're not using it works too), otherwise it's a pretty good mouse. Love how many buttons it has.
SteelSeries Rival 300, good mouse.
The rubber is worn a bit but nothing major
I'll probably upgrade to g700s or g602 soon, since this one has couple of buttons broken.
Wanted a mouse with a shitload of buttons for key binds n' shit, 2 years later and now it's starting to give out. Any other mouse out there with a similar amount of buttons that could realistically last me a while?
Anyone who says the G502 is a manlet with small hands or underage b8. It's a great mouse
This is absolute bullshit. I just upgraded from a G500 to a G502 and my hand physically hurts all the time now, and I have relatively huge hands. To give you an idea, I make the Duke Xbox controller look like an S controller in a little Japanese man's hands. This mouse is tiny, and somehow feels heavier than the G500 by a good amount. Honestly it's a shame because I can already tell the massive difference in losing acceleration. It's helping a lot especially in older games. But fuck me this thing is not comfortable at all.
No palm grip.
The thing just doesn't feel big enough in my palm. Like my hand is scrunching in on itself just to keep it wrapped around the mouse. It's small and heavy.
Another example of size problems. The right side grip area is supposed to be big enough for the ring finger and the pinky finger. Yet the only finger that fits on it is my ring finger with my pinky being fucked off and hanging out in the open, or squished half on-half off under/to the side of my ring. It's just not comfortable at all.
>I forgot to mention that i'm a claw gripper
If you're not a claw-gripper and you play shooters, you're inherently garbage. Claw-gripping is literally part of the technique.
