Tell me /g/, why aren't you using chromium yet?
>>

But anon, I am....
Just one question, is it worth it to update it every day or is it just better to do it once a week?

Flash doesn't work in chromium. I need flash for my job.

Okay, great. I finally found a build which has built in codec support and now I'm a happy camper. Official builds don't support mp4, for example.

>>

What build do you use?
>>
>>52688382
1. sudo apt-get install pepperflashplugin-nonfree
2. let it die m8

Also, as a fellow chromium user, we are still part of the botnet guys: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=792580
Still, I don't know what else to use. Sure not SJWfox or its autistic brother PaleMeme.
>>
>>52688466
Firefox is a botnet out of the box, but you can beat it over the head and make it not be a botnet, if you know what options to toggle.
Chrom[e,ium] is a botnet out of the box and there's nothing you can do to change that.
>>
>>52688429
Unpopular software tends to have less people working on it, which means slower finding and fixing bugs, as well as slower implementation of new technology.
>>
>>52688486

because chromium is a fork of chrome which is a botnet. There are probably pieces of the code and libraries used that are still full botnet mode.Like even if they redid all the code for chrome, without looking at the libraries and inspecting all of that shit, anyone using chromium might as well be using chrome.

Tell me guys, I'm asking a serious question here.
Is Yandex a meme? Or does it just look like a meme while actually being good and having a small "/g/ elitist" group using it ?
>>
>>52689730
It has the Google botnet in addition to a never-before-seen Russian botnet, but the GUI is pretty cool if you don't care about botnetry.

Vivaldi is also a botnet - but if you don't mind that (or don't want to use a browser that actually isn't a botnet), then yeah it's pretty much best.

It's really sluggish, but other than that yeah.

>>
>>52688480
shut up kisumi
go back to your shitty desktop threads
>>
>>52690396
It's impossible.

In the first big audit of Chromium, code was found that routinely captures data from the microphone and sends it to google. This is hard-coded and cannot be disabled without manually editing the source code of Chromium itself and then recompiling.
>>
>>52690668
Ah, I didn't know that WTF I knew Chromium was too good to be true.
>>
>>52690668
I fucking hate how every browser these days is a meme.

Icecat and otter browser don't seem as autistic now.
>>
>>52690734
Pale Moon is the only non-botnet, non-SJW, non-aquarius browser out there with decent customizability and extension support.
>>
>>52690752
This. Pale Moon is the best browser as of now.
>>
>>52688351
How does 0% Market share effect the usability of a browser? Not that i use Opera. I've also heard that opera uses CEF (chromium embedded framework) So what's difference?
>>
>>52688522
