What are the best open source projects led by female programmers?
It's a security-oriented desktop OS which utilises "security by isolation" approach, ie each application is grouped and run in a separate security domain which is an isolated Virtual Machine.
It's created, developed by Joanna Rutkowska, polish security researcher and white hat.
I can't recall anything else though.
>implying an equal number of males and females care about developing any software
>implying that they wouldn't want it to be closed source instead so they can make more money
>implying anyone here cares who made the software unless it's stallman
From her "About Me" page:
>I'm comfortable and happy being a woman, although I do realize the absurd of the rigid classification of human beings into two simple subsets: males and females, and always surprised how deeply this influences people.
TIL there are literal homos on /g/ right now who consider this cutie unnatractive.
how could you prove something that's not true?
there should be no gender discussion in the projects. if they have to mention they are a female they are already on a tangent. same for any male but we dont usually digress to gender issues mid project
I don't think there are any notable ones, actually. Qubes OS is nice, but nobody really uses it, and the only women developers I know of are either working for megacorps or not leading much of anything.
I have no idea, because I have no prejudice about who writes or maintains the projects I use.
Wait, does but having prejudice mean I'm cis scum guilty of microagessions and discrimination against women?
i have a fetish for obese women in wheelchairs personally

reddit was built by two guys. The current CEO is also a guy. The asian chick whose name I forget was about as notable as a speck of dust on my hardwood floor.

Karen's Pineapple Repo, led by a transgender transracial lesbian weeaboo chink.
Not a boogyman. They were attacking ruby just this week, simultaneously demanding everyone take their efforts as good faith, and insisting everyone apposed was acting in bad faith.
It's very real and there's nothing you can do about it. They already won, they took over the Debian foundation, the FSF and GitHub.
Linux and free software it's pretty much dead at this point.
Not exactly open source. IIRC they don't even have the source code for it left anywhere.
Still, people like her and Grace Hopper more than prove that women can be very successful in the tech sector and that the problem, if there even is one, lies with women themselves.
