Who /Australian internet/ here?
I'm fucking sick of this shit, when are they going to do something about it?
Where's my damn gigabit fiber?
Speeds seem fine to me.
Remember, gigabit internet sounds great but when you have it, you're just grasping for use cases. There is no use.
I've been on 500 mbit/s, and now I'm back on 40 mbit/s because I only incidentally listen to music and stream video.
I want it for the upload speeds. Apparently this is the best Telstra can (read: will) do.
Should really start a petition for faster upload speeds.
>tfw just moved to an nbn connected area
>mfw getting 25/5 at 3 ms
Still paying $45 for a 90 GB cap tho.
>visiting grandparents house
>they have foxtel + phone + cable internet shit combo from optus for some extravagant amount per month
>they dont even own a computer
>usually get 19-25 mbps download
>lately they've been getting 4-5 with huge ping and spikes down to ~100kbps
>sometimes it will go back to 17mbps at like 3am
>they refuse to phone up optus and yell at them because they have no idea what i'm even talking about
man that speed is even worse than my shit adsl at home, optus just taking them for a ride because they are old i guess
You smug fucking cunt.
I hit 400KB/s max and I'd fucking die for 9.3MB/s.
That fucking .3 there, that's all I fucking get.
Jesus shit, 4 minutes for two fucking gegs. That's a couple hours for me.
I live on my own while you leech of your parents whining about your Internet speed. I have the exact same speed as you do in Canada and I have nothing to complain about. Like I said before, kill yourself right now.
>tfw british internet is worse or just about the same
Everything runs through BT (british telecom) in the uk and is awful because of it.
They even laughed at how they were using the country.
"BT workers were caught mocking an MPs' report into the company's poor broadband services when they failed to hang up the phone.
Conservative MP Grant Shapps posted a recording online which he says reveals the "contempt" the company shows for its customers.
A report by politicians today revealed how millions of Brits are lumbered with "dire" broadband speeds even after BT pocketed £1.7billion of taxpayers cash to improve services.
Former Tory chairman Mr Shapps said members of BT's public relations team rang his office yesterday for a copy of a report before it was published today.
But they forgot to hang up and were recorded ridiculing the cross-party probe backed by 121 MPs.
The unnamed worker who makes the call is heard telling a colleague about the report.
He says: "It's called Broadbad." His colleague replies: "Broadbad? Oh, that's clever. That's hilarious."
After discussing how the "n" of broadband has been crossed out, the first man says sarcastically: "Ooo, look at that."
The biggest con they have is offering adsl2 speeds to adsl subscribers whilst failing to mention there are only a few places in the country with adsl2 enabled exchanges.
Instead we have overpriced fiber or adsl or cheaper fiber with a massive contract (2 years).
