Why can't all programs run on more than a single cpu thread?
I have a ton of programs that only max out a single cpu thread on my i5-2500k. It bugs me that all the other cpu threads stay idle. Those lazy niggers could be working.
It's not the easiest thing to implement, in order to do it right they have to set it up so that all cores "line up" (made that up on the spot but you can google concurrency) so-as to not create problems issues with like, shit not syncing up right because like, one core finished things while another got stuck or something.
How do I get rid of tearing on linux? AFAICT everything's set up right in xorg.conf. I've got a GTX 970 running 352 drivers running Manjaro. Here's my xorg.conf:
Not sure if related, setting CoolBits to 12 or any value is doing absolutely nothing, either.
a lot of problems are inherently serial, not parallel. Simple example, say the following occurs in the code:x = getValue();
y = doSomething(x);
The computer can't go calculate y until it's done calculating x. The operations to get x have to happen first and theres no way around it, even if you have other cores available that could be working on calculating y. This is a bit of a contrived example, but the same thing crops up all over.
There's also the fact that parallel programming is just plain hard. When two threads try to access the same thing at the same time it's easy for them to step on each others' toes and leave the object in an inconsistent state. The solution is usually locking, enforcing that only one of them has control at a time. But this means that for that operation you're doing no better than a single thread, so you have to find ways of minimizing it. And you still have to handle communicating between threads and dividing up work among them.
As a relatively new programmer what should I put on my github to show I know what I'm doing?
What are those pixels /g/?
I've tried a different gpu and it still happening, it can only be my monitor right?
Strange thing is it only happens above 100 hertz, it is fine on 60hz
Is there any fix to this issue? Thanks.
Here you can see it only affects the gray area and the avatars, the white area is not affected
Literally won't go above 0%.... How do I fix this shit?
Trying to have a dedicated linux hard drive in my rig. Kubuntu won't let me install grub on my main drive and I can't even boot from the drive I installed the os on. Any tips on how to fix?
I dunno about desktops, but you can use a PS3 as a media server for all of your videos and music to play on your tv. A better solution is a HTPC ( home theater pc). Pretty cheap and good investment, made mine with 400 bucks.
how do i learn about stereo systems
I had a nice setup until my vintage amp shit out and now I want to learn more.
What I was thinking about was being able to stream gameplay to the television. I already store media on my FTP server so I just view it from there.
After some searching, it looks like I could only stream gameplay like I want if I bought equipment specifically designed for it. Damn
What can I use this old HDD for, besides using the platters as coasters?
I have dual screen.
I play video games on the left, and listen to very long youtube videos on my right screen. Like podcasts, or old radio shows etc etc.
Is there any way to control youtube while in game?
Since I listen to spoken word, it can trample over what I need to read or hear something in game. Its awful pausing the game, alt tabbing out, pausing, listening to the game for 20 seconds, alt tabbing again to turn it back on etc etc.
I'd like to find a way to test an assload of memory for work, I'm wondering if there is a faster way than setting up a few test benches with memtest, or spending thousands on a hardware ate

This tool will force just about any game to have borderless windowed mode, even if it's not on the list. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2675769
If you have a device on which is installed Steam connected to the TV, you can stream games from another device with Steam. I can't vouch for how well it works, and it sounds like maybe it's not the solution you're looking for.
Its not a big deal at all.
Most monitors have HDMI and DVI inputs now.
If you are using hdmi from your PC?
Most video cards have DVI, so you could probably get a DVI cable to hook to your monitor while leaving the HDMI open.
If you HAVE to use HDMI on your PC, then just buy an HDMI to DVI adapter. Plug the adapter into the back of the monitor and plug your HDMI into it.
The adapters are cheap and easy to find, a lot of video cards and motherboards just throw them into their boxes so you may even have one laying around.
Cheers, I'm not all that flash on the monitor side of computer building.
Another quick question, is the difference between 60 and 144hz very noticeable?
I've got my eye on a couple of monitors, one IPS, and one 144hz and I'm not sure which to splash out on.
>Another quick question, is the difference between 60 and 144hz very noticeable?
Yes. Both the jumps from 1920x1080 -> 2560x1440 and 60Hz -> 120/144Hz make a noticeable difference.
>I've got my eye on a couple of monitors, one IPS, and one 144hz and I'm not sure which to splash out on.
Not sure what you mean by this comparison. The 144 Hz one is a TN panel? TN is a fine compromise if you don't care about viewing angles.
What GPU do you have?
Projects with about 30-40 thousand lines of code, so 3D games from scratch, engines, clones of popular proprietary software like MS Excel or Word, educational software like for example GUI for visualizing quine-mccluskey algorithm or karnaugh map. So simple things like that.
Is the reason for the absence of KIK/SNAPCHAT application for linux is because unknown API?
this question is probably pretty stupid so it fits this thread, but what's the rough max number of lines of code that a single class of the project may have to be considered in good style?
So I understand the concept of XOR but hat exactly is the pattern going on when it's with hexadecimal terms? Most examples I see is just with binary so it's simpler.
To clarify, I come from AMD where I've been scared of installing new drivers ever since several fucked up some of my shit so bad that I had to do a system restore to fix. That's why I'm worried. Not sure how different NVIDIA drivers are from AMD.
Can I use my free Windows 10 upgrade, from my Win7 Laptop, on a PC I'm going to build?
Anyone knows what the "GPU Load" parameter in GPU-Z stands for?
My drivers crash when it reaches 100%.
Then again apparently this is just a normal thing that almost everyone is experiencing with the newest Nvidia drivers (according to the...uh...Nvidia subreddit).
How do I know if my HDD is on the way out?
It's been doing weird things, like freezing all of my currently open programs (not just windows or a single program like normal) and things take a lot longer to sort or open.
Are then any disk checkers out there? Would freeing up space on it help in any way? Is it even the HDD?
It might be. I have a feeling it's because it's an evaluation copy. I wonder if there's an actual enterprise ISO anywhere. Windows 10 is actually pretty decent without all the stupid app shit preinstalled.
I am trying to move away from google on my phone, but still have some apps I would like to run on my phone.
Is there a way to run a virtual environment or dualboot to a rom with gapps or something like that?
Don't install new drivers unless you really need them. If everything's working fine then stick with what you got. When you run into a game or program that doesn't work then is the time to think about updating.
ok here's the thing
>had (legit? i think) windows 7 for a long
>finally decide to update to win 10 free from the icon in the tray
>in windows 10 but have no wifi. some bug with having vpn before updating to win 10
>re-install torrented windows 7 and fixed the wifi bug
>want windows 10 now but it's been like this for a while now and i think it's not budging
current windows 7 activated with daz loader
no idea what to do. tried some stuff from google but no luck.
any help would be good
Do these "Refurbished / OEM" copies of Windows 7 actually work?
I'm building a system in a few days, currently have no OS for it, but don't want Win10 because I am used to Win7.
However, ~20% of the reviews for the refurbished copy say they have trouble registering / validating, but those are from a while ago, and sound as if they're made by morons.
You can upgrade from windows 7 with daz loader, dunno what could cause that problem.
Once you upgrade from it, you'll obtain a legitimate license pretty much. So there won't be a need for any loader or crack if you do a fresh windows 10 install some time in the future.
Getting a new laptop with W10, should I just torrent MS Office instead of paying $140 for it?
Every time I clean my computer, For example take off a panel, blast the fans, plug 230mm fan back in, screw panel on, the whole time i have an anti static strap around my wrist attached to the computer. Every time I have done this I have had issues booting my pc and have had to have some help getting it working again, am I retarded? I'm baffled and so is everyone that has helped me...
Ok guys, I want to print a maze from a double array of int (1 for the walls) but I want them to merge together if there are next to each other, I use sprite, but can't find a good way to do this.
Have a pc for over a year.
The only drive I've got is SSD.
Pirated windows 7, works relatively fast, probably could be better optimised. Doesnt crash alot (once a month maybe).
But the problem I have is when I turn on the pc (after not using it for a while) it mostly always blue screens.
I am assuming its because SSD loads too fast and other parts lag behind, but I really dont know.
What could cause this? Faulty ssd, shitty windows, cold temperature?
I think they're from machines that had Win7 on, but didnt sell, so the license was never activated.
Dell still wants to sell the machine, so they put a copy of Win10 on, and sell it with that,
leaving the Win7 behind and un-activated.
I've asked this already in a couple other stupid question threads, but I haven't really gotten answers. I applied clipper oil to a GPU fan, intending to decrease the noise, but now it's actually noisier/grindier than it was before. Not sure what I did wrong, but in hindsight, I don't think the fan needed lubricant anyway. It was just running at an unnecessarily high speed due to poorly applied thermal paste. Could I have used too much oil, causing the fan to drag? Or could it have dried out somehow? Is there anything I can do to fix it now?
Sounds like in the process of oiling it, a small bit of dust / grit got into it, making the grinding noise. Try wiping it with a lint-free cloth / microfibre cloth to clean it, then using compressed air if possible to flush the grit out.
Try running it after that to see if you get the noise. If not, great. If so, try re-lubeing it.
I have a Netflix account but my country fucking blows and the library is way too small so I'd like to try US Netflix. Should I try something like SmartVPN or is there another way?
I'm having trouble installing Windows 7 on my PC using UEFI. I used Rufus to format the USB, but when I try to boot from it, I get an error stating that the boot file could not be found even after a fresh format of the 7 ISO onto the flash drive...
I'm using a Skylake i7 but I doubt that's the problem since it's a USB 2.0 flash drive connected to a USB 2.0 hub, so I don't know what's going on.
Alright not sure if this belongs in here or /flt/
About a month and a half ago I had the suspicion that my motherboard was failing me, about a month ago I started dual-booting windows and linux, today my suspicions turned true and my motherboard died.
Question is, how do I teach my friends that are more tech illiterate than me that linux wasn't the cause of my motherboard failing? They would never use loonix if they suspect it caused my computer to stop working.
Is there any guide on how to use DownThemAll?
I want to filter out some of the files based on the description.
We have two network multifunction printers/fax/scanners in our office, same model, and the vendor just came out and "rotated" them (switched their locations) since one of them gets way heavier use than the other.
What's the best way to update the printers so that I don't have to manually add printers to 30 workstations? In theory I think I should be able to:
Printer A - IP xxx.xxx.x.20
Printer B - IP xxx.xxx.x.21
Just change the settings to where I rename Printer A to Printer B and vice versa, and swap their IPs, and that should work, and I shouldn't need to update any workstations (since if User prints to Printer A, it should be looking for a device at xxx.xxx.x.20 named Printer A, right)?
Will this work, or am I missing something?
I have a Subsonic server running via Tomcat as a system user. I would like to be able to use its jukebox mode, but it requires pulseaudio, and pulseaudio requires X, which is contrary to the whole system user thing.[pulseaudio] main.c: Unable to contact D-Bus: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NotSupported: Unable to autolaunch a dbus-daemon without a $DISPLAY for X11
Is there any workaround for this that doesn't involve running pulseaudio as system?
Might be more of a /diy/ question but I want to add another alphabet to the keys on my laptop's keyboard, how should I go about doing that? Should I use letters printed as stickers or should I stencil them on?
I need to release a software under no name and I want this software to stay open source (possibly make it like GPL), are there any leagal ways to do this? I know anyone can just claim to be the original author and change the license as they please, I want to prevent this, the software also contains some graphics that probably would be released under cc in normal circumstance, but I've no idea how anonymous works actually work. Any suggestions?
Will switching motherboards fuck with a Raid 0 array?
Okay then, if you know your raid settings, can you use the same settings on a different board and get the Raid array to work?
I have a backup drive and plan on upgrading my entire rig soon, but it's still nice to know these things so I don't wipe my Raid array if it's avoidable.
>Okay then, if you know your raid settings, can you use the same settings on a different board and get the Raid array to work?
No. You cannot import the raid. You have to move your data, break and recreate the raid.
Oh well then. I can still restore my data.
The best part about having 4 hard drives is one can be a dedicated backup drive.
Thanks for the answers.
Where should i go to get a domain name and hosting for a website? i am developing a game and just want a website for that game. a mixture of information on the game and a development blog.
And no, i won't tell you anything about it, it's not ready for shilling for a while, i don't want to blow my load before i have something worth shilling
When I took the heatsink off my video card, I noticed that one of the thermal pads was off center. I tried to realign it with the VRM, and inadvertently stretched out the thermal pad. Is that likely to cause any issues with temperatures? Should it be replaced?
So, I'm having a pretty stupid problem and I'm a pretty stupid person.
My mothers laptop is no longer showing our router in the connection settings, everyone else can connect normally and it's showing for them.
How do I fix it?
Why do videos on YouTube need to be buffered while TVs get video and audio live instantly?
because tv is delivered by high speed satellite connections that send trillions of invisible nanobots that travel at light speed with scramjet engines carrying one .jpg frame each between your television receiver and the satellite while the internet uses a similar system that relies on much older postman/snail mail technology
What is a good program for converting PDF pages into JPG or PNG?
I looked at the install gentoo wiki but the only programs listed under media converters were for videos and audio.
Where can I find the most up to date version for DD-WRT for my WRT54G v8.2 router? The ones in the wiki and found searching here are old as fuck
This is the one listed in the wiki
I can navigate that ftp to this

How to force 60 fps with reducet colors like nvidia did on 7970 (R 280x) ?
is new Mesa on linux any good, should i even bother? Becouse current on mint 17.3 is absolute garbage overheating on idile 60 C (even more with 4k)
I have 8GB of DDR3-1866 RAM installed.
It's running stable at 9-9-9-27 ~800MHz. (It won't stay stable at PC3-14900)
Would it be of any benefit to me to upgrade to 16GB? Would I see any improvement if there were any?
Windows button stopped responding on ny windows 10 install for school.
People hace been reporting similar issue.
Systemrestore doesn't fix it, following online solutions doesn't did it.
What do? Im taking notes on pen and paper for the time being
Should I slap this on my refrence 980ti for better temps and just to rid it of the ugly shroud it has.
They aren't. I have a tablet and it's a piece of shit. Only useful thing from it was the 3G internet which I just added to my phone. They were popular maybe 2-3 years ago before everyone realised how shit they are and now there's a big surplus of them.
If you're not going to go with the stock cooler on your card, your only real choice is to watercool.
Someone at my work is having an issue. Apparently his wife's ex-husband has a domain and an e-mail server, of which he's sending e-mails around to her friends, co-workers, boss, family etc in her name, saying bad but believable things. Basically, terrorizing her with a private e-mail domain and demanding money to stop.
Is there any way to stop this? Should she go to the domain host? Or maybe she should just go straight to the police? He's demanding €200.
You are very limited to how much you can de-bloat it, but this should be a good starting place.
If you're interested in customizing your GUI to suit your needs and workflow, Linux really is the best.
You don't have to own a domain to send e-mails.
The "From" header is literally just a text string you can set to anything you like.
Anyone can, for example, send e-mails from "email@example.com" if they wanted.
I'm having motherboard issues (I think), the onboard sound isn't working anymore and an older X-fi card that I've put in there just shat itself all within the same month. I'm planning on replacing the motherboard sometime this year and upgrade to an 1151, which entails upgrading the cpu ram etc. I'm wondering (don't know much about audio), what would be a better temporary(preferably long term) solution, getting a DAC or another cheapo sound card that could die? Am I correct in understanding that a DAC by itself doesn't do surround, but a DAC with an input from a surround-sound capable card would handle it fine?
there's probably a whole thread dedicated to your router. search on their forums and see what others have done for your router. that's what I did for mine despite it not being officially supported on the wiki.
learn to use a vpn.
ask in those threads, check
or write your own
I stream movies sometimes and I use Kodi + OBS to do so.
Now since Kodi introduced DX11 support (v!6) I can't capture Kodi as a gaming application anymore, I have to capture my desktop.
This is fairly annoying, anyone got the same problem? Or can test out of they can capturte Kodi with OSB?
Partial torrents probably. Edge parts of the files was in chunks that simultaneously contained parts of other files which was not saved as files. uTorrent keeps those parts in files like ~uTorrentPartFile_12345678.dat . IIRC even if you move those too uTorrent will not use them. That means that is will redownload missing parts.
I dunno how packman did it but I'd use sprites for all the different corners and determine what situation it's in and pick the sprite based on that like:[X,X,X
For every index in the array I'd check the surrounding 8 squares. If they're in the configuration that we have at index 4 (middle square) I'd pick the bottomRight sprite as the sprite I render. Index 2 would be edgeRight or something. You will figure out all the combinations when you write it out.
How do I remove DRM from .epub files?
attached is a cute thing for attention.
Weird, I just uninstalled the latest drivers and installed drivers from way back in 7th August and the driver crashing seemed to have stopped.
I thought that new drivers are supposed to be better and to fix things?
How do I change the Windows language from a foreign language (French, in this case) to English?
I got this laptop as a gift, and it came preinstalled with Windows 8.1 Pro, but it was French.
I researched this, but all I found was either how to change the input language (as if I didn't know how to do that) or how to change from English to other languages.
It seems to me that the only option is to download the English Windows 10 ISO, and upgrade, but I don't want to upgrade to Windows 10 (Botnet and all that, do not want.)
So is there any solution?
graphics cards are compatible with any motherboard unlike processors. you can eve mount a 980 ti on a motherboard from 2008, you will get bottlenecked by the CPU in games but the GPU will still work as intended.
I'm trying to troubleshoot a wifi device that can't connect to my AP unless I disable security (using WPA2).
Is there a way I can capture wifi connection attempts with Wireshark or similar? Does the AP make any response to failed connection attempts?
How should I be picking parts to upgrade my PC? Right now I'm going to cpu/videocardbenchmark.net, sorting the searchable list by rank, and picking the highest rank I can get at my budget. Worked great 4-5 years ago. This feels too simple of a process now.
Does anyone know of a way to download the full size image from Cfake? If you click on a picture, the default size is small, but for pictures that have a higher res available, they have a "switch size" button /icon in the top right, next to the close icon.
Here's where it gets beyond my experience and don't know how to proceed. The URL's of the small size image, and the larger size image are the exact same. Even if you copy the fullres URL and paste in a browser, you still have to click the "switch size" button.
The only difference I have found, is that if you inspect element, there's a line that's a little different.
The line for the small res is--- <img id="content_img" border="0" src="photos/145361173001ee884e_cfake.jpg">
and the one for the larger res is--- <img id="content_img" border="0" src="ophotos/145361173001ee884e_cfake.jpg">
I don’t know if that will help anyone, and doubt it, but does anyone know of a way to download the full resolution images from Cfake? I can use BulkImageDownloader to download whole galleries, but they don’t download the full resolution.
what extension or whatever do i need to get so i can pre-load images on specific threads i opened? i dont need to pre-load images on generals on /vg/ but i'd like to pre-load em on image threads on other boards. i only have first world internet so i need to wait 5 seconds on 1mb images

If I'm doing a decrement loop that goes while greater than (as opposed to greater than or equal to) in assembly, should --a ( or dec %(the register) ) go at the top of the loop or the bottom?
Looking for a laptop that is ideally 13"-14" but 15.6" is fine, it needs a discrete GPU because I want to play 2010 WoW while on the move, it doesn't need to be maxed, just play it at 60fps on 1080p, what sort of laptops should I be looking at? Wiling to buy used. Budget is £800 or less. Any spazoid gaymer logos will put me off so I was thinking a thinkpad w530? Is the quadro sufficient for WoW?
I asked in the smartphone general but apparently that's just for fapping over phones, didn't want to start a thread but no choice
I have 5.1 on a moto e LTE I got from Verizon ($10)
Got adb working on the command prompt but it doesn't detect a device, I installed drivers from Motorola's site and still nothing
If it was just 5.0 I could download the network app but since it's 5.1 I have go through cmd
If I installed drivers from motos site and the phone isn't being detected then what else could it be?
Phone is already on USB debugging mode

Reminder that this girl is extremely ugly genetics wise.
She had multiple surgeries and she's wearing massive amounts of makeup. You wouldn't even recognize her if she woke up next to you without it.
I don't quite understand.
When I press the switch size button and try to download that image, I do download a higher res image than if I don't click the switch size button with just basic right-click > Save.
Yeh, that works, however I'm looking to download basically all the images under a certain celebrity. Like, I can use BulkImageDownloader and download all the images from a certain celeb, but the image will be in the the lower res, not the full res. And as far as I know, since the URL's are different, I cant grab all the urls of the larger res image, and put the list into ImageGrabber. Sorry for being a little vague in the op.
Ever since qbittorrent 3.3.2, simply having it open slows my connection greatly. No seeding or downloading going on, just sitting there. Closing it return my normal speeds. Is this how trottling works? I also use Vuze because I'm a lazy ass and didn't feel like exporting torrents and that causes no problems, so I'm at a loss as for what's going on.
That works. Now is there an easier way to grab that url, instead of going to inspect element every time?
Like is there a way to grab all the URLs of the images, then "cut off" whatever is before the show= and after the picture Id.jpg?
With stuff like BCFakes, I can grab one URL, then go into excel and then just grab it and expand it down, so EXAMPLEOFCELEB1 becoes EXAMPLEOFCELEB2, and etc, and then just use concatenate to add the .jpg at the end, and feed the entire list to IamgeGrabber.
Expanding on this. I think I found something that can help but need help finalizing.
If I download the images though BulkImageDownloader, it saves the small res. However, the filename is the url, and then all I have to do is plug the filename in the address bar after http://cfake.com/ophotos/.
Is there a way to turn all filenames of pictures into a text file, or an excel spreadsheet?
So, I want to install Windows on my Mac via Boot Camp, but I'm not going to pay another 150 dollars for another key. Can I just download a legit .iso from Microsoft, install KMSPico and get my key from there and it will function properly?
I have a question about RAM clock speed in relation to the CPU.
I'm running an i-7 2700k (Sandy Bridge) which claims is only supports up to 1133mhz clock speed.
I've been using a set of 2133mhz RAM in dual channel forever. Both speccy and CPU z report my speeds running at 1066 which after researching, everyone seems to agree that display is correct and you need to multiply 1066x2 (for the dual channel) to get your full clock speed.
Lately, a buddy of mine has been claiming that since my processor only supports 1133, and that my CPU-Z output is showing 1066, I'm losing roughly half my RAM speed to CPU bottleneck.
Can anyone explain which of us is correct and why?
Just ask that programmer friend you have nicely, he'll do it in a minute.
Yeah probably. That said you can buy a cheap license for $40 or $30 if you want. You probably don't need windows ultimate.
Steam machine launches Steam from your PC into Big Picture mode. From that, you can minimize Big Picture and have full access to your desktop.
I haven't tried running non-Steam games (though I don't see why they wouldn't work) but Killing Floor 2 runs fine and I'm able to watch HD video with what appears to be proper 5.1 support without an issue.
Just make sure you're hard wired
Is there any better way of doing this?/*
** Look in string ($a) to see if it contains "select", "insert", "update", or "delete".
** If it does contain, it can return one of the three values: 0, 1
** If it does not contain, it returns 2.
** $a->d("INSERT INTO `table`(`fag`) VALUES(`op`)")
** Which returns:
$this->a = $a;
$this->b = explode(' ', trim($this->a));
if(strtolower($this->b) == 'select')
else if(strtolower($this->b) == 'insert' || strtolower($this->b) == 'update' || strtolower($this->b) == 'delete')
your are running strtolower 4 times, put it in a variable.
your function fails if the string to test doesn't start with one of your test cases.
(BEGIN TRANSACTION; INSERT INTO ...)
the text asks for "contains" not start with.
Here's a weird one.
Sometimes, when I haphazardly toss my keyboard to the side (it's a Logitech K400r I use on the couch), my display's brightness and contrast go up. Some key is probably pressed. Dunno.
Here's the thing - I can't figure out where the hell this configuration is. Nvidia Control Panel can NOT correct the issue further - the sliders are pushed all the way to 0 for Brightness and Contrast.
In the Windows 7 Display Calibration, the Gamma has to be pushed all the way down to make the center dot disappear (speaking of, why there aren't just damn sliders for this in Win7 is beyond me). The Brightness and Contrast in the next screens can't be tweaked without adjusting the monitor itself - which is a TV we use for normal cable programming so I can't just go nuts and change that stuff.
I can not figure out how this shit is getting changed, and where the settings are so I can fix it. I can just trash all my display stuff and reinstall, but it seems like it's a better idea to figure out what's causing it so I can fix it next time.
Ok /g/ I get no video output when using the display port on my GPU, HDMI works fine. How can I find out if the problem is with my GPU or my monitor? I have no other devices with display port so I can't plug something else in to check.
If you want to use this to detect SQL injection, you are doing it wrong (use PDO and parameter binding). If not, tell us what you want to do and maybe someone will give you some better idea.
Asus AC router and pcie adapter on winblows and linux I get faster upload speeds than download speeds from my desktop. 65-70mbyte/s upload and 40ish download.
Messed around with channels and spent hours and hours looking on forums and whatnot but can't pinpoint the problem.
Is there a reason why my CPU idle temps are below average but my load temps shoot right to 100 C within 20 seconds? At stock voltages?
I replaced thermal paste and my idle temps are now lower, but my load temps still shoot right up to throttling range. I'm using the stock Intel heatsink but I haven't overclocked so should my temps really be shooting up to 100 C in 10-15 seconds?

6 fans(most 120mm)
1 7200rpm SATA 1tb drive
1 CD/DVD drive
1 WLAN card
It comes in under 650w, but everyone says get at least 750 for SLI. Is there anything that could go wrong?
Function A: mysqli connection
Function B: disconnect mysqli
Function C: used to execute queries
Function D: what I am asking about (check a string if it contains "select", "insert", "update", or "delete".
If you're trying to get 5.1 from your PC to the sound box you really can't. You would either need to use 3.5mm jack from the PC to RCA to the sound box. The TV only passes sound through the Optical out, and the sound box doesn't support Optical audio
IDK if this sort of question belongs here, but
what kind of Skylake Z170 motherboard is best with an Intel Skylake i5?
should i get a 970 or 290x for fallout 4?
what is the fastest way to learn to code? and the best resource for it?
I don't know what to say. Even with no fans it shouldn't get that high. Make sure there is not auto overlclocking/voltage in the bios. Set the CPU voltage manually.
Have you tried another monitoring program?
So I've been asking a series of stupid questions as I fully install a new MOBO for the first time and I think I'm almost there
I got the mobo installed, got windows installed but since I did a clean sweep when I installed windows (7) I can't connect to my modem and get internet access for auto updates to take over and install all the rest of the drivers.
I get the message "Windows cannot find drivers for network adapter" when running the auto fix; now I know I need the right drivers, but my real question is which ones? DO I need the motherboard drivers in order for it to read the network adapter or do I need drivers for the actual modem? I'm currently going through the mobo drivers on it's site and copying them to a flash drive but I don't know if they will fix the problem
Do you think it would be worthwhile to have a cheap SSD dedicated for cache?
Is Intel Smart Response--where you use a SSD as cache for a hard drive, worthwhile technology?
How is this for price/performance ratio. I can get a discount on Dell through work.
>i7-5820K 6 core 3.8GHz
>16GB DDR4 2133MHz
I know it's a bit overpriced but is it really that bad? I can't change any parts or anything btw, that's it.
So the mobo drivers would be enough to fix the network problem? because as long as I fix that i can handle the rest myself from that computer.
Also, I can't check the disk because
I don't have a cd drive
The driver disk will contain all the drivers that they mobo company puts on its website anyway. But it should have your lan drivers on it.
But getting it from the website externally and loading it from a usb would be the same
Just tried another phone a 1st gen moto e and nothing, I've installed drivers from Motorola's site so I don't know why this laptop won't detect it,detects other devices ext HDD etc just fine
Maybe its the cable who knows
my parents got a offer from a company to make a website for their restaurant
another one wanted 1650€ and one wanted "only" 750€
what the fuck
how is this legit
I just downloaded a template, changed some stuff, put some pictures of our restaurant there and that's it, it's online and people are like "wow who made you this, looks so good"
if it's that easy to get money I will stop studying and I will also start making websites and get like 3000€ for one html and one css file with 10 lines of code in it
Looks fine minus the psw. You're missing your hdd though
But it should be about 2600 with a 2tb you mentioned before
You're dont need more then 1kw
You're going to be around 750w 100% load 24/hr usage
Anyone have a favorite program they use to rip DVD's to mp4, avi, or divx?
Why can't pointers of one type be used to reference other types?? I know my program will throw an error while it compiles but if pointers are always the same length of bits why can't it point to another type in memory?
I've got a list of URLs in Excel, and need to add, in multiples of 30, to the end of the URL. So the URL needs to look like www.exampletext.com/p30, and then the next line will read www.exampletext.com/p60. Is there any way to easily add the ending to all lines, since I've got to do it until like p6000.
I am searching for the best upscaling algorithm for pictures
The Preserve detail option in photoshop is really good but I wonder if there is something better and what the best algorithm is for upscaling speed isn't an issue
Ok I've already done some googling and have gotten mixed answers.
I have built a new pc with a i5 6500 combined with a z170 board.
My question is now that non k processors can be OC via bclk, is it worth exploring that option? Are there decent performance gains to be had? And if so what is the procedure to correctly up the bclk and manage the memory multiplier?
Super big thanks for any answers or insights.
