Windows 10 is bad because I say so.

Windows 10 goes to 100% CPU usage when playing sound through my Fiio E10K usb DAC. I've tried using generic usb audio drivers and Fiio's drivers, both have the same issue.

I then tried it on another Windows 10 machine and it was absolutely fine. So I checked the driver versions on the good machine, and installed those drivers on the bad machine.

And it still has the problem.

Yes, it was a fresh install, so no bitcoin mining notavirus.exe shit, and it goes from 0% to 100% as soon as sound plays, be it foobar, a game or youtube. Process is system interrupts. Doesn't do it with the onboard sound, and other USB devices are fine.

Such a shitty, unpredictable OS, this stuff is natively supported on Linux.

I use Win10 Enterprise 64bit. I haven't had a trouble. None of my programs have been deleted, or my drivers, or anything. I haven't had those horrible experiences people go on about detail.

Why the fuck does the upgrade to Windows 10 come with Skype and other services needing an internet connection pre-installed? Why the fuck is Microsoft pushing me to create an account, why would I want to link my account? Why do I need a fucking cloud drive as a simple user? There are so many small things that annoy me with my Win10 PC that just add up to one big disappointment in this OS.
I would never have been angry at all of this, if it wasn't for the fact that I had to go out of my way to remove these apps and settings not only by the means Microsoft provides you with but by installing programs like CCleaner, etc.
I can definitely see why people would prefer to have a minimalist Linux OS simply because of the fact that you are given the option to add in all this stuff afterwards, should you need it, and it is not just shoved down your throat from the beginning.

Shame I still need to suck Microsoft's cock because I want to play my games.

It can be caused by multiple things from what I saw, but what solved it for me was turning off all this shit. Just go through all the areas in system, as well as privacy, and turn off almost all of them.

I also uninstalled all the bloatware they threw on in the main install, like candy crush and Skype.

in my experience windows is good awful with driver out of the bag, they reli on manufacturers to install driver software on there machines so if someone wants to wipe there hard drive and do a clean install they have to go on a scavenger hunt for the right drivers. It used to be that manufacturers would include a cd with all the drivers for that particular machine in the package but everyone is so cheep nowadays that rarely happens. Linux distributions are getting better all the time at including a crap ton of drivers to go with there .iso's , while cooperate greed is doing the opposite for windows.
