Why is Blackberry 10 the best mobile OS?
>Gets the job done
>Doesn't get in your way
Why aren't you using a Blackberry /g/?
>Why is Blackberry 10 the best mobile OS?>
Because it doesn't force stupid changes like denying write access to SD card and flat UI design down their users' throat.
>Why aren't you using a Blackberry /g/?
Because /g/ is full of normies who wants "muh apps", and can't even do C++ properly.
I bought a blackberry curve in 2007 because every kid had it and it was all about blackberry messenger because whatsapp wasn't all that yet.
With the rise of whatsapp i've literally seen every blackberry ever disappear from the face of the earth, the only times I see that phone is when there's some show about business man.
How is this phone not ded yet in it's entirety?
Is mobile the best way to browse 4chins? About to sell my note 4 to my little brother and get a classic but I'm worried that the primary reason I use my phone will be diminished.
If you use your phone for media consumption, then I wouldn't get a Blackberry.
They're great productivity phones. Sending emails, texting, looking at spreadsheets, documents, browsing the web, etc.
I'm a NEET and I still use it. I use my PC for gaymes. It's a great OS and the hardware is good enough.
I still have hope that if enough privs were sold, they would "risk" it enough to make a new BB10 phone.
you don't have to close the tag, [spoiler] will spoiler the rest of the post
no spoilers on /g/ though so
Has some software bugs but ibe used one and it is a beautiful phone. Priv is the best phone on thw market imo. Especially if they let you switch to bb10 id gladly trade in my xperia
Only the blackphone can compete with BB at this point. there is also samsung knox but samsung partners with BB for knox too. don't delude yourself, being open source does not make a phone hack/exploit-proof.
This doesn't look like an iphone m8
and, like all non-shit mobile OSes, it will be dead soon.
The worst 2 dominate the market.
I just want to know why they don't have the cursor. The cursor is simply the best way to interact with just an electronic device, even the touchscreen ones because, okay, touchscreen is very helpful and provides a lot of ways to interact when you want to do it quickly without having to worry about the position of the cursor, but cursor is more accurate, it's also Faster. the best possible combination of phone is having both the touchscreen and the cursor button disabled decided not fuck that we're just going to be using touchscreen which makes no fucking sense, that's not blackberry
I gave up my q10 for an LG g3. I try to go back sometimes because I miss the keyboard but now the q10 display looks horrible and blurry to me because of being so low res.
I'm pretty sure there will never be another major update to bb10. I'd rather have something with q10 form factor, higher res screen, that runs Android than the priv.
But why. Trackpads only really make sense with cursors, and the passport one is pretty awesome. Why would anyone go "well, this is cool, but let's gimp it for no reason.
A passport with a trackpad like controls with cursors and actual gestures and a better window handler (and the ability to use apps side by side natively) would be the ultimate phone. Multi-windows in a single screen is the only true way for productivity. Also, the old screen tab was great so they should add that, allow again people to download maps because blackberry insist on not getting maps of everywhere on their own, make the assistant be integrated into the OS, and add more ricing capabilities. Maybe even sell APK through BlackBerry world.
Well, Classic had a cursor just not in all situations.
They'd probably add more uses for it in next releases of the OS if it wasn't dying (provided that they'd make more phones with touchpads)
But the OS is dying, we won't have a phone with a normal cursor and everything is turning to shit
the normalfags have won.
Fuck apple and all the companies who copy them
To be entirely fair, BB brought this upon themselves by releasing frankly terrible phones in response to the iphone and their hostile attitude towards app developers. The BB10 and the Passport was too little, too late.
>muh proprietary software is better
It's a warning to all tech companies you can't just sit on your ass and expect people to keep buying your stuff in the face of increasing advances from other companies. Also, lack of market awareness and good QA on your devices and services. Google Docs, Waze, cross-platform BBM, motherfucking dropbox, and a bunch of other crap were all ideas BlackBerry had the infrastructure to implement on their own, but nope, fuck that.
Well, it's good to remember we are what Nokia fans were back then when they pulled the same shit and lost their 70% by being completely retarded with their phones and services. Hell, blackberry was the holder of 85% of the market just eight years ago. Eight!
