I just installed OS X on my PC and I need some advice.
What are the foobar2000 and MPC-HC equivalents for OS X?
MPV and iTunes.

Yup. Get XDG.app, it can convert any flac to .aac after you've downloaded it.

When coming from Windows, at first I was hugely disappointed how little choice you have as a user in terms of even simple, everyday apps. Often your best choice is far behind in terms of customizability from Windows counterparts.
>MPC-HC
There's nothing even close to it on OS X. The best thing available is mpv; once you learn the shortcuts, it's a pretty great player. You gotta be a hacker if you want to set it up though https://mpv.io/manual/stable/
And there's VLC, but who the fuck uses VLC, right?

Either you get used to iTunes, which is like WMP, but with more botnet, or you install VOX, which is a really good incarnation of a Winamp/AIMP-type player.
