I would start with just a shitty regular keyboard and take it apart, have a look at it then get some experience. My family has access to some very nice wood so there's potential.

Ok so the stores in my country only sell cherry mx red and mx brown switches.
I know there are better alternatives (topre and gaterons were being discussed in the old thread) but are they worth the 70€ of import+shipping fees?
I'll probably never get to touch a topre switch in my life (or even a cherry blue for that matter), is it really a big loss or just a meme?
Should i keep my current membrane keyboard and wait for future models?
