I'm thinking of buying the LG G4, however I'm wondering about two things:
* It has an SD808, while many other phones have the more powerful SD810 or Exynos 7420. Is it much worse than those? Does the lower performance matter much?
* It has a 2560x1440 screen. Does that impact performance negatively? Will games only want to run at native resolution, or is lower one with upsampling possible?
* On related thing, are benchmarks like AnTuTu biased due to running on the native resolution, and thus some phones get lower score with the same SoC because of higher res?

The 808 is perfectly fine.
1440p is literally unnoticeable.
It's a good phone for the most part, unless you're gonna be on Sprint and want to root.
There are slim to no custom roms.

LG G4 is supposedly supported by CyanogenMod. That's good, right?

808 is fine, only held back by LG's bloated software. If you can unlock the bootloader and install CM it is a brety good phone. Some versions have locked down bootloaders, so buyer beware.
I still recommend a Nexus device though.
