Just got a new phone, need a file manager for android. Is ES file explorer still /g/'s standing recommendation?
I use FX, no problems so far but I don't know if it's botnet embeded or not, I just disliked how es explorer forces you to upgrade from the vanilla version after two weeks or so.
Es went to shit when they started adding bloat and cache cleaner. Go with solid explorer.
Most of the hate isn't for the aesthetics, but there's some removed functionality. For example there used to be the jump to top/bottom button in the bottom right, which is now hidden behind the 3 dot menu.
You also could swipe in from the right to go back to the last thread you were looking at, which you can't do anymore.
Other than those two complaints though I think it's a great improvement.
Oh wow, I didn't even notice there was no image spoiler button anymore.
As for code brackets, does anyone even use them? I can understand why it's a problem not having them, but I don't really think that affects most users.
Glad to hear, anon. A word to the wise:
When moving items, check your folder permissions for remote shares. Move operations are a copy and delete in this case, the latter of which Amaze continues with whether the copy to the remote share worked or not.
>no image spoiler button
It's in the pulldown.
I had to break up with ES because it decided to move into my house and start throwing out all my cool shit, so now I'm hanging out with Total Commander and it feels like 2006 again.
ES is the best.
I bought Solid Explorer because everyone recommended it outside /g/.
It does not know SHIT.
Yeah it can copy and move files (wow!), meanwhile, ES can reach my cloud shit, can serve FTP, browse FTP,SMB, can do literally everything.
Now that the Pro version is out, I bought it, since I have been using ES all the time.
Explorer: qTabBar, Clover
(On Windows8+ you have to disable "Open new windows as new process" or something like that in Folder Options, otherwise both will just crash from time to time.)
