What's the botnet of your choice /g/?
One drive because is integrated into my DESIGNATED OS.
>>52616062
All of them, might as well maximise free storage. But Drive is my primary.
>>52616062
Enjoy your botnet.
>>52616062
>What's the botnet of your choice /g/?
Dropbox, it works fine. Never have any reason to try an alternative.
>>52616079
>rolling deep on having Down Syndrome
lol
>>52616107
wut
>>52616062
GDrive (for professional reasons)
but mostly box, because it’s (in my opinion) way easier and comfier to use it.
>>52616062
None.
Not just because of botnet, but I never felt the need for one. Why do you guys need cloud storage?
>>52616062
Unlimited Google drive my uni
>>52616062
owncloud.
but if I had to pick one of those, probably dropbox because they ship a desktop client.
>>52616062
Dropbox
>>52616256
file sharing with multiple people, and storing data (naught that is too sensitive or personal though).
>>52616062
I prefer dropbox, but I use onedrive because its the cheapest option and gives me office 365
>>52616062
1 and 3.
Recently deleted my MS account and I'm planning to do so with Google too, although it seems impossible.
Take a look at Dropbox's ToS and privacy section, you'll find out it's not all fun and games.
I hope more and more people will self host their "cloud'. It's just that businesses like this caught consumers (not enterprises) off-guard.
Onedrive for my porn. It's easy access and I don't need to have it on my hard drive when someone is looking for my porn folder.
>>52616062
Dropbox because I still have all the nudes from my ex on there.
icloud drive
>>52616569
share link
Google Drive 100GB and 4 MEGA accounts.
>WAH WAH BOTNET BOTNET BOTNET
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WILL YOU ALL SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY
WE GET IT, THEY COLLECT DATA FROM YOU
BUT IT'S NOT LIKE THEY'RE GOING TO FUCKING SPY ON YOUR SHIT 24/7 JUDGING YOU ALL DAY, IT'S THERE TO GATHER ANALYTICS AND NOTHING MORE
>>52616062
google drive...
I used to use it a lot back on android :^)
and it somehow stayed with me

>mfw I installed Owncloud
>fuckzillion files and directories

If it wasn't such a clusterfuck I'd consider sticking it on my physical server.
>>52616553
See you in jail.
not-cloud-storage
seriously what the fuck is wrong with just getting another hard drive, i bought a 2tb and it works fine.
no need to use the "cloud" meme, especially because you don't have it in the case that your internet is down. how the fuck am i going to watch my 263TB of hot animu sexes when i'm offline?
I don't get cloud storage. Why would anyone want to keep their files on someone else's hard drive?
>upload my loli folder to onedrive
>they disappear the other day
>>52616062
syncthing and rsync
>>52616676
I'm not a loli pedophile like you are tho
>>52616702
The only thing I could see is access to files from any location, but you could do that with your own server + hard drive anyway.
>>52616062
One Drive, comes with my OS. Turned out to be more useful than I thought it would be. Only use it to sync works across all my devices.
>>52616062
>cloud storage
So like NFS without transparent system integration? What the fuck is the point of this?
>>52616062
I don't, I'm a luddite.
Hell I only have a dumbphone.

Good one
>>52616676
Porn is illegal now?
>>52616761
in common use it's basically file syncronization, with maybe a couple bells and whistles attached for good measure
there's things like syncthing that can do the same thing in a decentralized manner (data only sent between your own devices, using their servers only for optional fast address discovery, you can run your own server for this purpose as well)
>>52616062
google drive
I don't know how you people can use google drive, it has such a horrible interface.
Also has anyone noticed that onedrive will try to automatically tag your pics
>>52616607
Finally, this
Google because I didn't have to create an additional account to use Drive and it works reasonably well on all my devices (wish there was an official Linux client but grive2 works ok)
>>52616062
Mega for my illegal files.
yandex
>>52616986
>it has such a horrible interface.
that's your onion
google sheets and all of that shit is awesome
>>52616986
I agree on the interface thing, but the fact that it has built-in software saves the whole thing.
The only thing it needs now to be actually superior is a proper interface.
>>52616384
All 3 have a desktop client.
Dropbox best box
>>52616723
You on a list now.
>>52616062
Made my own
I use copy.com
>>52616062
Owncloud on my own server.
I use Google Drive because it works well on my phone and collaborating with others works well.
I don't use OneDrive because it works like ass.
I use Dropbox because it's the only syncing program that isn't a buggy piece of shit.
For some reason I feel all Microsoft products get worse with each update.
My own ftp server, hosted on my RASPBERRY PI
Pomf.io
A USB flash drive.

Sure thing, Schlomo.
>>52616928
have you actually legally bought any of your porn?
the one running on my vps, owncloud.
haven't tried seafile or syncthing, but those other self-hosted alts are there
iCloud for syncing information between my Mac and iPhone. I have no need for putting school or work document/files into the cloud. It's much easier to carry it on a usb or email. I only had to collaborate once in college with Google drive btw.
>>52616062
Syncthing+OwnCloud. Anything else and you're an idiot.
>>52616062
drive
For cloud storage, I like Box. They give me 50gb free year over year, and two step verification has never felt so good.
Box, not to be confused with Dropbox.
>>52617633
>implying chrome didn't already put me on a list
google drive
Onedrive it just werks
google drive for documents and shit because it's well integrated to everything
hubic (ovh) for mass storage, because it's fucking 5 yuros a month for fucking 10TB of storage
Yandex and mail.ru cloud storage
which ever has the biggest free storage
i use gd because
>>52616364
and also dropbox account i dont use (yet)
don't have one drive because of above reason
also, no mention of mediafire?
>free 10 gb storage
Mail.ru is actually the best here coz it has linux client and a lot of free space.
>>52616062
I used drop box for like a month, but I fucking hated it. Now I just use an FTP server on my desktop.
Google Drive. Yeah it's botnet.
But I have a google account anyway, so why the fuck not.
So what that my spreadsheets will be used to train neural networks?
It's nothing sensitive anyway.
Spideroak.
>>52616640
owncloud truly is awful but at least you can jail it, force ssl and add basic auth to your virtualhost
>>52616062
Dropbox, though I only ever store files on there temporarily so that I can use it as a file transfer

Keeping directories seemlessly synchronised between computers is ridiculously handy. I don't understand how people live without this functionality. How do you keep your files in sync between machines?
>>52621855
It's called rsync+ssh.
Non owncloud
>>52618752
this
Onedrive (30GB) ,From school Onedrive business (1TB) , Google drive(15gb +all my photos automaticly upload to and backed up )
These cloud thing are so convinient with studyies and stuff
I use google drive daily and I use onedrive to share some files that I might want to use sometime with my other computer
Dropbox is my botnet of choice.
>>52618972
Have you?
>>52621886
Why bother when there exists something far easier to set up and doesn't require me to have my own remote server? Plus you don't get the web interface.
>>52622510
Other peoples computers is not a trustworthy place to backup or store data that is of any importance.
>>52616062
What's the best free service with the most storage, is it only 15gb from jewgle/ms?
>>52621855
>How do you keep your files in sync between machines?
I don't. If I need a file on another machine, I'll just transfer it via e-mail or flash drive.
>>52622988

all the benefits of the botnet
none of the downsides
>>52616062
MEGA.
>no sms verification bullshit
>client-side encryption
>50GB per account
>no botnet
Though I'm looking forward to the next project of Kim, because he's not the owner of MEGA anymore but he said he will launch a new service like MEGA this year.
Google drive because it syncs well with my docs/sheets and photos.
>>52623427
You know what they meant sperglord
Just got a 32GB flashdrive in the mail today for my RPi owncloud server. Making the switch from DropBox. Still using microshill botnet for OneNote because I haven't found any good libre note taking software that has good wacom support for my X220t.
>>52624285
>dropbox + encrypted encfs
Ah!
Given that Drop-"Condoleeza Rice"-box is capable of delta updates,
>https://www.dropbox.com/en/help/8
then you've better using a single TC-compliant/dm-crypt-compliant container (LibreCrypt ports dm-crypt to Windows). You'll sync a single big fat container once (or multiple big fat containers) and you'll do delta-syncs without leaks.
Otherwise, set up your Tahoe-LAFS. Once a tutorial has been posted here, using freemium WebDAV-capable storage providers. Redundancy and perfect crypto.
>>52616079
POO IN SYSTEM32
Dropbox as I got 20Gb free which is plenty to move files around. I encrypt most shit before uploading to it.
dropbox
I know I should switch but I haven't gotten around to it yet
Googs.
It's the only one that doesn't suck ass
>>52616062
OneDrive because fuck Jewgle and the other shit option
Ditched Dropbox because of "muh botnet" in favor of Owncloud and after using it for about 6 moths I'm going back to Dropbox. People shilling this Owncloud crap are fucking delusional. It's a complete clusterfuck to setup, it doesn't do delta sync, and god forbid you have a fucking problem with anything you'll be up shits creek because "not running latest version? no help for you" and you can't fucking update directly to the latest version you need to apply each FUCKING PATCH AND GOOD FUCKING LUCK BECAUSE IT WILL INEVITABLY FAIL WITH "BAD ERROR NUMBER 6 GOOD FUCKING LUCK" YES IM FUCKING MAD
>>52626057
Kek
Generally I just use my own home server.
But if I'm feeling lazy, and the material isn't confidential then I'll just let Google Drive take it.

who is this demon of the semen
A 100gb Google Drive for my pics, vids, pdfs couple of saved youtube channels, and other junk
a free mega account to hold internet stuff/video zips/games I've needed to share with people
a free hubic account for miscellaneous music videos, and internet videos I've collected
and then a google nearline cloud storage account for backing up handful of movies and my ASMR collection where I only pay 1ct per gigabyte/month (although can't download or view online without paying 1ct per gig)
