I've been living on 4GB of RAM and a fucking Radeon 5450 for the longest god damn time and upgraded both of them a day or two ago
And holy shit, everything is great, I actually have breathing room with graphical settings and RAM usage
Processor comes next but it'll probably be a while before I feel the need to do that

It's actually... surprisingly alright. Right now I'm just running an 11 tab firefox session of mostly 4chan, some wiki and solaris manpages. I've been able to run 35 tabs with some 360p youtube (won't let you go any higher on XP) and soundcloud thrown in as well. Also running Spotify/Steam while browsing, doesn't even give a shit.

My main's a dual E5450 though, just DDing this thing while I set it up to eventually be a file archiver/music player.

Also running unraid os to virtualize a desktop (hence gpu), plex and fileserver running virtual, then samba sftp and http webserver in a virtual pc, and to top it all off a 30mb's tor exit node rigged to an audrino with a states easy button, for immediate shutdown and dban ( because fuck this sketchy country)

Recycler. Presumably they saw the tape over one of the front USB ports, the missing SAS drives and the massive size of it and just said "fuck it, no dumbass redneck is going to buy this over one of our facebook machines" so they pulled the expansion cards out (???) and threw it on the pallet. All the better for me though, I was more than happy to take it off their hands and throw in my own storage/graphics :^)

Also got a $5 Q6600 workstation from the same place, I owe that guy a free dinner.

I use the 6850 for GPU rendering in Sony Vegas seeing as it only supports older GPUs.

My processor is actually a quad unlocked to 6 with a 3.87Ghz clock up from 3Ghz.
