There are people on /g/, right now, that have bought an iPhone for themselves.
These phones are ridiculously priced for their specs and overly prone to obsolescence.
Some of these people even buy every new iteration of iPhone.
Why? Why do you do this, /g/? Even Windows Phones are better choices. Blackberries. Equivalently specced Android phones are literally half the price with twice the functionality.
What gives? Why do you, the actual informed consumer, buy into these bullshit fashion accessories?
Because it's the simplest choices, and making choices by yourself is hard.
But just as a reminder, iPhone has less than 15% of global market, so on a global scale they aren't looking all that hot. Cheaper phones outsell iPhones 6 to 1.
>ridiculously priced for their specs
The 6s is actually a very powerful device.
> Equivalently specced Android phones are literally half the price
>Some of these people even buy every new iteration of iPhone.
Why are you so concerned with what people do with their money?
>bought an iPhone for themselves.
I currently have an iPhone 6s to go along with my Xperia Z3. Why don't you have both, OP?
>These phones are ridiculously priced for their specs
They're pretty comparable to high end Samsung phones.
>overly prone to obsolescence.
What? Everyone knows that iPhones get updates for longer than Android phones.
> Equivalently specced Android phones are literally half the price
Really? What is half the price and actually has an equivalent camera and a processor that good? It's a best in industry chip at this point.
>Why do you, the actual informed consumer, buy into these bullshit fashion accessories?
The appeal to techies (this is why I also see my friends at management level and higher using Macs) is that they don't have time to fuck with their phone so they just buy something that they don't have to fight.
Really faggot? Because last time I checked iPhone 6S outperformed every major Android flagship
>artificial benchmarks that applel has been cheating on since the company was founded
>Over 100 million DL's on Google's Play Store
>Just last year started testing Apple
>Lelphones already outperforming lagdroids
Oh, you're gonna cry, androidfag?
Android has so much more potential than iPhone. I once used my Android phone to install a windows Iso on an old laptop, plus no bs proprietary software and expandable storage what more can you ask for. I would never buy an iPhone its overpriced chink shit that people think is cool and hip, but opinions are like assholes everyone has one and some of them may not be very great.
>retarded specs that nobody cares about matter
lagdroid logic, everyone
>implying you're not an chinese shill working for chinksung or huawei
>iShit still gets destroyed in individual app open speed
>one gayme slows down other phones total time
>only way ishit can win is open several apps in rapid succession that no one ever does
why do people with androids feel the unrelenting need to talk about how much better their phones are than iphones?
You know what people with iphones don't think about, ever? Android phones, and android users.
You're irrelevant, just like the spider in the corner.
>Console level graphics
>specs are by far the fastest equivalent to 2 Samsung s6s taped together
>Retina screen is fantastic has the best color accuracy of phone screens
>fashionable phone people will start treating you better once they see you have a iPhone
>force touch is fantastic and not a gimmick
>a OS that isn't prone to malware don't have to scan my device every week like on Android
>comes with great apps out of the bag that aren't bloat
>much easier to use for people that don't root their phones
Apple is great senpai switched from my one plus on to the 6s after hating them for years with no regrets
Did we watch the same video? Because what I saw was that iPhone scored first place.
Also considering iPhone has already been proven to be more powerful than any Android (see >>52604353) it's like you have no arguments anymore.
>why do people with iphones feel the unrelenting need to talk about how much better their phones are than android?
>You know what people with androids don't think about, ever? iphones, and iphone users.
Keep memeing your lagPhone iToddler.
I used to have an iPhone. I legitimately enjoyed it, and then the draconian iTunes syncing method started failing consistently for me. Until they release simple MTP support for the iPhone(I know, it'll never happen) I will not use an iPhone again.
It doesn't, that's why everyone (in the first world) uses an iPhone. Just go to any college campus. Count the iPhones vs the Androids
Things nobody say:
>i switched from iphone to android because iOS wasn't as good in real time usage
Its a fucking phone OP, not every cares about specs and performance. People that buy iPhones don't do research, they just buy them because they work right out of the box and are simple. That isn't to say Android phones aren't simple to use, they just don't have that Apple appeal that consumers look for.
>Just go to any college campus
>look at all these kids using it, that means it must be good!
I buy my iPhone's unlocked and sell them when a new one comes out. I pay like $200 a year to get the new model. Fucking pocket change.
Top android phones are just as expensive anyway and they have shit resale value.
>overly prone to obsolescence.
>What? Everyone knows that iPhones get updates for longer than Android phones.
This Apple shilling has really gotten out of hands. Apple uses those updates to slow down the previous generation so the next one seems faster. It has been revealed so many years ago that there's no way you could actually be uninformed about it. You're just a brainless sheep.
Well "sheep" is not the right word here, the correct one would be "a shill". That's what your post smells like.
Apple doesn't have "appeal to techies", it's used by people who run away from anything technical. People like it because it's easy. If you would want to do anything exotic with your device you would go Android or Sailfish or something, since your hands are not tied behind your back whenever you want something normies don't bother with.
If you send messages between two iPhones/iDevices in Apple's messaging app, it will use Apple's iMessage as apposed to SMS. Instead of the messages showing up green when they do this, they are green. Anon is implying that girls enjoy these blue messages.
I want my my phone to operate smoothly and reliably at all times. I love how comfy ios is compared to lagdroid and want comfy when I'm on the road.
I've saved $10000 cash and see no problem spending $750 on something that will last me three or four years easy.
>I want my my phone to operate smoothly and reliably
>three or four years
lmao @ ur lyfe
Using her as an example because she got the iPhone on my recommendation. She wanted something easy to use and fast, so I showed her the iPhones. Then over her birthday dinner I too out my phone to take a picture of her, and she came over to look at the pic. As i was sending it to her she commented on how much easier mine was compared to hers. Mfw.
Yeah there's no way a sepf responsible adult with a stable job and income is going to shill as hard as you so either you are a fucking idiot who actually felt into the iphone market (and that you use it for everyday purpose like facebook and gaymes, no need to deny that) or you're a big b8
7/10 made me waste my time
>Yeah there's no way a sepf responsible adult with a stable job and income is going to shill as hard as you
I'm not saying that anon would have a stable job or anything other than an iPhone he got from his mom for christmas. But there's a possibility that he isn't lying. It's called post-purchase rationalization. You have to convince yourself and everyone else that you didn't make a choise based on feelings, that it must have been logical the whole time.
So you mean like, spending tons of money on day one games and even if all your friends say that game it's utter shit you continue to say that it was bretty gud? The same principle?
I have a 700 dollar S6. Someone else has a 700 donate 6S. S6 owners are obviously poorfags though and 6S owners are rich. Even though they both cost the same. Right.
Meanwhile I make more money than people i know with iPhones and Android phones and less money than people with iPhones and android phones... And from what I have seen there's about an even number of both on both sides.
iSubhumans have a different concept of "being rich" than normal people.
Switched away from all apple devices after my iPhone 4.
Just got tired of the shit, got tired of the updates immediately prior to the next Gen release slowing my phone down to a crawl.
Got tired of my battery being shit and not even lasting half a day after 4 months of use.
Switched to android phones and haven't gone back. Plus I can load my own audio and video direct from my computer, be it windows or Linux without issue or need for special software and licensing like with iTunes.
Also glad because I can drop my Droid phone over and over and not have broken screen.
Drop my iPhone on its edge once and the whole screen shatters
>>Console level graphics
So you can Facebook like anyone else
>>specs are by far the fastest equivalent to 2 Samsung s6s taped together
The SPECS aren't, they are quite low on paper, but the RESULTS are very good.
>>Retina screen is fantastic has the best color accuracy of phone screens
Actually the newer devices have been consistently not as good as even older iPhones. They also were never very good when it comes to color gamut. They are nice screens, I'm not saying they aren't, but they weren't and aren't some kind of industry standard perfect display.
Even the 6S has less camera features and is only equally as good as the S6 and G4 cameras when all is compared.
>>fashionable phone people will start treating you better once they see you have a iPhone
These people are generally not real and anyone who does treat you differently based in your device is a moron.
>>force touch is fantastic and not a gimmick
No. It's neat, sure, but that's it.
>>a OS that isn't prone to malware don't have to scan my device every week like on Android
AN OS. Not A. I actually haven't met anyone who's had to worry about that in any phone. Usually the services everything attach to are the point for surveillance. That being said there are security vulnerabilities in both which nobody seems to have used.
>>comes with great apps out of the bag that aren't bloat
Yeah that's why you have a folder on your home screen full of apps you don't use.
>>much easier to use for people that don't root their phones
I actually don't know what you're saying here.
>Apple is great senpai switched from my one plus on to the 6s after hating them for years with no regrets
So you're crying just because I'm not shilling for Android like all the other losers in this thread? God, so pathetic. You're an idiot.
>mfw android chinks jerk each other off and shill for samshit by bashing apple
people shit on iPhones but the 6S is pretty similarly priced to samshits and the only real flaws are somewhat low resolution and somewhat shitty bezels. it's overall a fairly well-rounded phone with 2GB of RAM (much more efficient on iOS than android) and the godly A9
