Been using it a couple of years, it is really nice if you tend to spend your time on computer at night before sleeping.
It's weird they still haven't released an Android version of it. Luckily we have C.F Lumen, though.
You may wish to refer to the free counterpart to a proprietary program instead of the proprietary program itself. Had I not checked carefully, I may have been tempted to install f.lux on my machine instead of redshift. Others who are less observant may have been led to install this instead of the more respectful redshift program.
I must give thanks to the Parabola maintainers, whose active dedication to keeping nonfree software out of their repositories was the first hint I had that this program was not going to respect my freedoms. However, not everyone checks their distribution's repositories first and may wind up with something nonfree on their otherwise free systems, so please make sure to check the licenses of the software you mention in the future, thanks.
Why is it a meme? It isnt helping? I honestly need something to ease strain on eyes. I am not in the mood for memes and catching up what /g/ considers shit since that is about 99% of everything.
physics behind it roughly says that that piss color actually eases strain on eyes by making different color temperature and patterns or something
Anyway you should use if at least for a while to really see if it helps or not.
Programmers and people who generally spend much time reading tiny shit on screen would understand.
Mine kicks in gradually after sun set. Like it's not on fully until midnight. Then at sunrise it goe back to normal a lot faster but stil gradually. Helps my eyes because I used to get really bad headaches using a computer at night but now I don't. Might be snake oil, idk. Don't care desu. You don't really notice it kicking in unless you do photoshop all fucking day.

I am one of those people. I always increase text size if reading huge chunks of text. If I don't I get eye strain and need a break
