Google! You can decompile dalvik executables into java classes. There are a few programs that do this. After that, just modify your "source" like you would any normal Java application, re-compile into dalvik, fix signatures on the apk, and you're done!

Lately I've cracked Casper, that Snapchat clone that lets you cheat (I only use it because it works without Google Play Services). Removed ads, and enabled premium features. Just a simple ctrl + F through classes is all you need to find stuff.
